This is the fourth episode of a mega series of Podcasts exploring the comprehensive and untold history of the Indian National Congress.
This episode narrates the entry of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi into public life. It traces his early life, his brief career as a failed advocate and his stint in South Africa. It was his activism against British racism and atrocities in South Africa that brought him into limelight. His method of passive resistance won him a significant victory against the British in South Africa and earned him the admiration of Viceroy Hardinge.
Despite this victory, Gandhi was never really opposed to the British. On the contrary, his own speeches and writings and public statements show that he was one of the most loyal defenders of the British Empire. From the start, Gandhi genuinely believed that this Empire was actually a force for the welfare of the world. It was a conviction he held till the end of his life.
Do watch this illuminating episode that fleshes out various eye-opening truths about Gandhi which have been carefully hidden.

The people who truly live “The Gandhian Way” (not how Gandhi lived, but what Gandhi preached) are #RashtriyaSwayamSevak who Congress wants to eliminate.

While teaching George Orwell, I had to do one essay by him 'Reflections on Gandhi ' where he mentions, inter alia, how a Gandhi was possible because the British ruled India! Just imagine if Hitler were ruling India then!!! Furthermore, Orwell informs how at the Westminster the British politicians used to refer to Gandhi quite cynically as "our man in Delhi"!!!

Gandhi's adoring hand-written letter to German Dictator Adolf Hitler began, "...We have no doubt about your bravery or devotion to your fatherland, nor do we believe that you are the monster described by your opponents." -Indeed. And to think that now, Congress is ruled by an Italian implant whose own father reverently kept a collection of Italian Dictator Mussolini's speeches in the family living room!

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's ambulance service for the British Oppressors is so similar to Jawaharlal Nehru sending rice to the People's Liberation Army to help the Chinese colonize Tibet. As a result of Tibet's invasion, and for the first time in history, China now has borders with India, and since at least 1962 China is allied with Pakistan against India. Same obsequious attitude/mentality. India was really cursed with such bad leaders. Hope things will change for the better and that some of these blunders can be mitigated if not reversed.

It is a well known fact that Gopal Krushna Gokhale brought M K Gandhi to Bharat from South Africa. One account says that M K Gandhi was supporting British government over there. What are the chances or probabilities that M K Gandhi was influenced by Britishers themselves throguh Gopal Krushna Gokhale to come to India and take part in congress formed by Britishers? Any material available on this to prove even slightly? The reason being conduct of M K Gandhi after coming to India, his insistance on Neharu, opposition of Subhash Bose, support to Khalifa movement (not khilafat mind it) some of the major decisions influenc3d freedom struggle and supported Britishers. Britishers left india after world war 2 and a resolution passed (mostly in UN) to free all the countires asao. It was not because of congress as claimed. Some attribution can be given to INA and revolt in nevy in 1946.

Gandhi only needed two things to do, ask the Indian soldiers to participate in the two world wars as true "satyagrahees", and to ask the Indians to do whatever it would take to make India free from the invaders. He did just the opposite, to the convenience of the British, sent 1.5 million armed fighters to fight on behalf of the invaders. Then took care of the leadership at home to convert every up rise into some kind of procession and withdraw it as soon as it was inconvenient for the rulers. The culture of corruption and sycophancy that he created and nurtured is still pervading the Indian political arena.

I still dont understand the logic that inspite of knowing fanatic violence in the religion why muslims are allowed to stay in India after they were given seperate nation as per their religion. This is big conspiracy and a worst curse for India. And that violence is already witnessed just begore partition.

I will have to look up the pages where I happened to read it. It will take time, where I got to read it.

The Gandhiji quote is in the past tense. He changed his views and felt later that the British rulers weren't altruistic after all.
Wrong to jump on a quote that Gandhiji meant as belonging to his naive past.

Very nice very informative on Gandhi s life and his work. He was more a loyal fan of the British and in India he became ardent fans and supporter of the Muslim community and his leaders like Nehru and suhurowardi and joined hands with them and was instrumental in the genocide of the innocent Hindus, their women and children. I condemn. such people and hate the good word’s being used for him. The words Mahatma and BAPU are wrongly attributed to the killer the murderer of Hindus and their families. The Indian historian s have distorted the Indian history deliberately and intentionally to please the left liberals and unworthy people like Gandhi and Nehru who have done the greatest harm to the Hindus.when the truth is revealed, they will be looked down upon and thrown asa scrap of history.

Also his Ambulance 🚑 business established by him for British that's too British ruled South Africa? When I myself visited South Africa,I heard this gesture of Ambulance Department carrying injured British soldiers was funded by British Empire itself.Without official blessings of British Rulers how he could be allowed to enter the Warfield of Zulu.People in South Africa he recruited many Indian migrants into British Army as they lost huge number of soldiers in World War,They were badly in need of manpower and without part of Gandhi's help, British would have lost Zulu war which was fully supported by Dutch.
