It's 2024. I still get goose bumps every time I hear Thin Lizzy. Undeniable greatness. One of the best bands in rock and roll history. A total travesty that more people don't realize this, especially those idiots in charge of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
me too i miss so much the music they made a sound unlike any and none since phil had a sound that will never be matched long live the fans off thin lizzy
+FreedomZealot me too. They had so many good songs, but this one is my favorite among favorites. The Gary Moore tribute was also damn good. RIP Phil and Gary! We won't see their likes again anytime soon.
Together with Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy is top notch Irish Music Export to the World! Both one of my favorites ☘️ Sláinte Mhaith! I miss both: protagonists of my dense and accelerated youth.
There goes that insipid and infuriating underfuckinrated criminally underated everywhere word. I've even seen it describing Iron Maiden and Prince ffs. Even Brian May😂. Stick it up you're arse and do NOT REFER THIS DESCRIPTION TO THIN LIZZY.
Scott Gorman has got to be one of the most underrated guitarists. what a great band Lizzy were. check out Black Star Riders if you want to hear Scott's current work, still rockin' after all these years
I listen to this song at least 5 times a day. The tune alone makes my day go smooth and yes that saxophone makes my day. Wish there were more bands of this type in this day and age.
LOOOOVE this song! First bass line I ever learned. Phil Lynott--brilliant poet, tortured soul, incredible inimitable musician, demigod--there simply is no one that compares.
Nice! Try these two on for size. One of my favourite Thin Lizzy songs and one of my favourite covers! ruclips.net/video/nQQnuF0Z8-w/видео.html ruclips.net/video/gVISC52zu0A/видео.html
Wow, Live and Dangerous is one of the best live albums ever, I've had vinyl copies...even had an 8-track back inthe day (as they say). Never knew there was video. Will have to see if I can find it to purchase somewhere. Long live the singing screaming Les Paul!
One of the great rock tragedies losing Phil so young. Never mind the musical talent in spades but just the personification of charisma and cool. He had so many years ahead to entertain us. :(
Thin Lizzy is hands down one of the greatest band ever. Especially live. Remember when I was like 7-8 yrs old and my dad put this record on in the car. Ever since then I was blessed by the grace of Phil Lynott.
legendary "Live and Dangerous" Album.... Oh my god, they banged the stage at this gig , THIS is live music. Such a talentated, so much underrated crew, its a shame since of today. They deseverved MUCHO more respect!!
Had pleasure of meetin John Earle in Slatterys in Rathmines many yrs ago....wot a character he was... Lovely notebook of all sessions he had played on.....xxxxxxxxx
Saw them on the 4th of July 1979 in Oakland CA at the "Day on the Green" concert. Awesome band, they rocked and I still remember it like it was yesterday!
Makes me smile every time. And the Sax is awesome. I love the way Phil motions for the Sax player to GET IN THE SPOTLIGHT. Phil was always doing that for the band. Gary Moore plays the best solos.
PUT THIN LIZZY IN THE HALL OF FAME!!!!

Proper band. Heavy duty skill
46 dislikes? Fucked up world we live in man, how can someone dislike this masterpiece
+David Corona, because some people just don't know what great music is.
+David Corona They def have never have had a good time in life
+David Corona karma has a way
Those 46 people must've gotten chocolate stains on their pants
Must be an error. Nobody could be stupid enough to dislike this
Love how Phils voice and Rory Gallaghers are the smoothes coolest voices out there. PROUD TO BE IRISH.
I miss this guy every damn day.
+FreedomZealot me too
+FreedomZealot We all do, RIP Phil!

The greatest most under rated band of its time!
*of all time

Not underrated

*Gorham. 😉
Brian Roberson was just so much better
Snowy White was good And Gary Moore the best
The band of my teenage years, especially as I had a girlfriend called Liz at the time, she not the dust but I've always followed them!
I listen to this song at least 5 times a day. The tune alone makes my day go smooth and yes that saxophone makes my day. Wish there were more bands of this type in this day and age.
It is a killer sax piece
Seems you also have ADD. Lol
5 times a day ? Great song but seems a bit excessive
Same here :-D One of the greatest :-D The groove, the feel, and the timing is absolute stunning :-D
I just wish I could time travel so that I could watch them play live. Phil seriously was the definition of cool.
Saw them in 78 and 80
Ikr? He just has this style/aura about him. Naturally charismatic I suppose
Hammersmith Odeon 1978. The Live and Dangerous LP is still the best around.
Stunning performance. Untouchable tune.
LOOOOVE this song! First bass line I ever learned.
Phil Lynott--brilliant poet, tortured soul, incredible inimitable musician, demigod--there simply is no one that compares.
Keith Richards once said: "There's too much of the rock and not enough of the roll."
Thin Lizzy had all the roll any band could ever hope for.
Amen sister!
What an absolutely wonderful encapsulation of Phil/Lizzy and the rest of rock. Hope you're living your best life.
Calling all the boys back to town to give this gem another listen. I hope this song finds you well and lifts your spirits. Take it easy lemon sqeezies
right back at ya 😀
Peak Thin Lizzy!! What a line up and we are truly being gifted a once in a life time act
I just discovered Thin Lizzy and I am listening to Metal and Hard rock for many years. Pretty amazing.
Imagine growing up with Lizzy.

1976 four guys screaming down a road in 67 chevy singing and living this song to the fullest, beautiful
Sensational album. Played the whole thing at the gym tonight.
One all time fabulous band....and so glad i got to see them live!
Smooth, soulful ambience.
that guitar solo is one the greatest I've ever heard
One of the great rock tragedies losing Phil so young. Never mind the musical talent in spades but just the personification of charisma and cool. He had so many years ahead to entertain us. :(
doesn't get any better than this!!! the last ten seconds wow no words can describe it.
+Brian Moore ikr?! such an awesome riff to go out on :D
I saw Thin Lizzy open up for Queen for my first concert and they were spectacular.
How Awesome!
Your FIRST gig was Queen supported by Thin Lizzy?????
@@tashaclaire7258 Yes I was 15 years old and it was an amazing concert, January 1977, I still remember it very vividly.
@C Orosz wow!! So glad you appreciate having that experience! Nice one dude!
You peaked so soon, haha 🤘🏻😎
Thin Lizzy is hands down one of the greatest band ever. Especially live. Remember when I was like 7-8 yrs old and my dad put this record on in the car. Ever since then I was blessed by the grace of Phil Lynott.
Wow, summer of 78 living but not loving in London, TL in the charts and on the radio, oh tender years won't you wipe away my tears...
One of the bands that inspired me to play rock n roll. Great song and will always remember Thin Lizzy
Thin Lizzy....going back to my childhood.
What a band!
truer words have never been spoken and may I say you are truly blessed to have seen them both
Awesome musicians and guitarist!😊✌
Gosh, those summer days in the seventies, driving down to the road with the guys, drinkin' n smoking and listening to Lizzy.
I love thin lizzy, it was one of the best rock bands ever in the 70th.
true bummer that moments in rock n roll like this will never happen again.
What an amazing vibe at this gig.
legendary "Live and Dangerous" Album....
Oh my god, they banged the stage at this gig , THIS is live music.

Amazing! Sounds like studio recording, so freaking tight play.
Dude when you think about it this (and a whole bunch of other great thin lizzy songs) were made in the 70's and they're still damn good
