I have found that the Mx Mcdonalds I've visited have the original apple pies: the ones that look fried and not baked. They used to be common in California until 30 something years ago when they switched to the baked version. Also, just from my experience, the staff at McD are so attentive during indoor dining as it is probably due to their prices being equivalent to US prices while other local places offer more food for less mxn.
They are attentive because is in our culture (and they make them haha), but actually Mcdonalds is the cheapest one of the american chains in Mexico. We usually think about mcdonals as trash food. In other hand, chains like Carls Jr (Hardee's) or KFC are really loved in Mexico.

I have eaten at many McDonald's in Mexico; and my favorite item is the Cajeta (dulce de leche made from goat's milk) flavored Milkshake. The Choco Roles McFlurry was also special. I loved the different flavor of soda options like limonetta, manzetta, and jamaica. You are doing this post-pandemic; so I do not know if they had big mac sauce laid out so you can put it on any McDonald's item you wanted. The quality of the queso (cheese) pie varied depending on the location. I had great queso pies and poor ones. They have pina pies; which you can also find in every McDonald's Central American country. Mexico is not really Central America, but it is the gateway or crossroads to Central America. I love Mexico; and I cannot wait to live there again. The burgers and breakfast items did not really impress me. I had every menu time you had; but you pointed out observations I did not notice at the time --- thank you for that. However, you really missed the highlights of Mexican McDonald's by not getting their phenomenal deserts (or playing with their soda machine unique flavors).

Wow I wish we had this menu in the US. Currently the only items I like on the US menu are the breakfast items. McDonalds burgers are very mediocre they are literally just bread meat and cheese with nothing else, but these burgers look really good and flavorful.

They still have it, Pay de Queso, really nice.

I went to Monterey Mexico when I was a kid and the McDonald's there had an apple pop I really liked.
@Luis Tejeda most US states? I have never seen or heard of it. To be fair, I wasn't looking.
@Luis Tejeda McDonalds offers Coca-Cola products, so I doubt it was a Manzanita Sol.
It probably was Joya Manzana, a local Monterrey soda brand (owned by Coca-Cola, but just sold in the Monterrey area). You might find it in Texas since there's a bit Monterrey community there, but who knows.
Apple flavored drinks are popular in a number of countries just not the US sadly.

Fun video. Looks like you had a good time. I grew up in Calexico and I love putting refried beans on as many kinds of dishes possible. I think of them as just another Veggie.
Heck. Refried beans are 🔥! I’m from Pennsylvania in the US and I put them on anything and everything I can as well. 😁🥰
P.S. I just went to this New Mexican restaurant where I live and insisted on having them in my chimichanga. The chef was like…”they don’t do well with deep frying”. And I was like, “suck it up buttercup because I gots to have me some beans!!!” 😂😂
Refried beans are the best. Breakfast tacos were a revelation to me because of them.

Thanks for the video! Would love to see more fast food places reviewed when you travel - it's nice to see the subtle ways in which they vary from the US/Canada versions :)
Even Canada offers so many different foods than the US McDonald’s. Last time I was up to visit I had the poutine from McDonald’s. It wasn’t bad. Better than any you can get where I live, unless you make it yourself. 🙏🏻🙂
having been in Japan for a few years, McDonald's has surprised me a bit. Cool to see what they offer around the world
I’ll always miss the Japanese Big Macs 😮💨

When I was in Italy I thoroughly enjoyed the varied menu at McDonald’s, and I don’t like McDonald’s in the US. I usually just go there for drinks, apple pies and ice cream. Or I’ll hit up the drive through to buy my dog a plain hamburger. 😁😅
Always great entertainment.!
Their burgers look exactly how the pictures look here in the US, but are never what we actually receive. I try not to eat fast food, but the beefy burger-y goodness was tempting. :)
Beef is in great abundance in mexico ground beef is literally 3 dollars per kilo which is 2.2lbs 60 pesos in mexico money....so beef burgers are veeery big and filling

Come to Europe if you want fried apple pies! We say Non! to baking them.

I love the McDonald’s breakfast burritos in the US & their pinjcantè sauce is the BEST. Wish I could buy McDonald’s pinjcantè sauce in jars at the store. 🥰 I could literally just eat it straight out of the little packet…it’s that tasty.
On the other hand, stay far away from BK’s breakfast burritos….they are nasty. 🤣
*Edit: if you get a packet of jam (grape or strawberry), you can put it on the sausage patty and it is so freaking delicious!!!! I find interesting the differences of each country's fast foods chains. And finding out that Mexico's Mcdonalds has a lot of meaty hamburguers makes me want to try them ;;; In comparison to where I live, here the hamburguers patties are very dry :C, can't say is better or worst to me neither because I never tried Mexico's Mcdonalds but I'm deffinetly curious

Wow I wish we had this menu in the US. Currently the only items I like on the US menu are the breakfast items. McDonalds burgers are very mediocre they are literally just bread meat and cheese with nothing else, but these burgers look really good and flavorful.
I agree! I despise the lunch/dinner menu but the breakfast is actually decent.
Bread meat and cheese. You just described a cheeseburger.
You forgot soy. All of their burgers except the Quarter Pounder contain soy. I cannot eat their burgers, because I have a very bad reaction to processed soy filler. When they had the Angus burgers I could eat them w/out a reaction, but I didn’t like them. I don’t like the fried burgers. BK is my go to fast food burger choice. No soy fillers and they are char broiled. I even have a bad reaction to Wendy’s burgers…so I’m thinking they do contain soy even though Wendy’s says no.
