- The 49ers fans celebrate in the streets. After the 49ers win the NFC championship game. They climbed out of a 17-point halftime hole to stun the Detroit Lions and take the 34-31 win which secured their spot in the Super Bowl.
Fans made an impromptu parade in the Mission District of San Francisco near 24th St and Folsom Street. Police presence and road closures tried to contain it.

I lived at 29th and Mission from 1981-2000, after the first super bowl win the city went wild. Me and my friends drove down to union street and let lose. I was the first one to stop a 41union bus and climbed on top of it, a couple of my buddies climbed onto a fire truck and promptly got "detained" because the cops weren't arresting people yet. I may have to take a trip to the city for this coming SB.
I left the bay area for Missouri during covid and I dont regret it. I did bring my niners nation with me tho and its funny seeing the reaction from all the kc fans when I wear my gear. On another note if CA could get its shit together and vote conservative maybe people would stop leaving.
