Dr. Joe DeMarco, chiropractor and owner of OcraMed Health, discusses how to stop knee pain in today's video.
Why do you have knee pain? A common cause of knee pain is the result of tightness and restriction in the vastus medialis muscle (also known as the VMO). The vastus medialis is one of the four quadriceps muscles of the anterior part of the upper leg.
The vastus medialis can build up fascial adhesion (commonly referred to as scar tissue). This build up can result in a lost of normal elasticity of the muscle. Decreased elasticity means the vastus lateralis will begin to tug and pull at the knee joint resulting in dysfunction, inflammation and pain.
In today's video, I demonstrate how to perform simple, but effective, fascial release techniques to the VMO. When performed regularly, these techniques can eliminate any existing scar tissue. This will restore normal muscular elasticity and end your knee pain.
Give these techniques a try. Leave me a comment in the comment section down below and let me know how it works for you.
