I tested this trap more and find out if you build it on a place like mine, you don't need to land inside the trap because wild wyverns don't fly that low and they get stuck on the pillars and they can't fly through.
This is a great trap, thanks for the video. Once they're in there they're IN, I really like how it keeps them pretty steady in there too, makes tranquing them a breeze.
If you don't use a wyvern to kite them, you could build it 2 wide and add another section on either side, effectively giving you 3 cages for the price of 2. This is useful for the times you don't get the angle quite right, and the wild wyvern tries to fly next to the trap...
It is extremely difficult to get the wyvern to fly straight at this trap, meaning it usually goes around. But once you get it into the trap, it is trapped extremely well.
Hey @KaizerfromCrete ! Great vid, but I couldn't get it to work! Built exactly as described but used an Argent. Also added the two pillars below for smaller mounts
What do you mean by lack of distance? Do you mean to stay on the trap? You can still trap them by just going through the trap, it will just take more time.
So I built basically built this x2 where they share a side....on the outside "arms", I extended the beams out 4-lengths but built outside pillars down from the 3rd beam so you can come in at an angle and go through either bottom and then they will pretty much be trapped inside and instead of placing 2 pillars down for the "gate," I had to place 3 and still could fly my wyvern through.
It works still but not as effective, they will get out pretty quick if they de agro, plus they try to avoid it a lot more, I’m on forglar mod map so it could be where I placed it
I used to fear those wyverns . I use 5 behemoth gates with 2 sets of metal posts that go up the 2nd and 4th gate and across the top . Then posts going down to catch them from leaving . Sometimes they seem to avoid the trap so i stuck a few posts sticking out to the outside and they would get stuck there . Then i would tranq the female For there milk . After that i do not bother with tha trap . I just go to the edge and start with a very good sniper . Then switch to pistol . Usually drop them before they reach me . Then make my way down the cavern and pick off the wyverns one by one taking the talons and any high level eggs . I take out the wyverns first as there are no wyverns to chase me when i take the eggs . There a piece of cake now .

Great work! And you proved that the wyvern will enter and won't be able to escape, you deserve a big thumbs up for this 👍

Works like a charm, thank you for updating your other trap!
You're welcome!
Nice one Kaizer! Very cost efficient too :D
If you use metal to build, it should also work for the alphas
Tested and working as of this post.
As of 11/4/24 the trap still works perfectly fine. Never had an issue. Not sure why people are having such a hard time
I wish I could like this video 1,000x !!! Only Wyvern trap online that seems to work every time with no issue!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!
Thank you, I'm so glad to hear that.

Where did you build it?
@@KaizerfromCrete in the sand, outside the lava pit
best trap iv used
46 pillers without structure pickup
did they removed the timer on pickup?
legend.. ! thank you..

Hey, how it did not work?
@KaizerfromCrete poison wyvern would get caught at the bottom and instead of going up when I flew up, would just walk around the trap
Could it also get trapped by leading on foot or with a land tame? I suppose it might not fly up if you are too low.
Not sure, let me test that.
edit: tried with thyla it does fly up slowly, you just need to stay in front of the trap a second.
@@KaizerfromCrete Thank you!
What if you aggroed poison or lighning wyvern? Lack of distance is lethal, although trap really looks inescapable

Thanks this helped me allot
The trap fell apart after 2 days...i am guessing i need to put it on foundation to prevent the decay?
Nope, I'm not sure if it's a new bug or something but I've never heard that before. Structure decay was on single parts.
Ok i did not add a ladder to both sides. My fault 🤣
Ladders shouldn't affect this. Pillars also snap to each other.
So i added a ladder to both pillars and it no longer decays 👍
Nice one

That sounds good like a good trap, did you build it out of metal?
@KaizerfromCrete I did. For alphas. And added a small platform on the center pillar with ramps to make it easier to get milk rather than use ladders
It works still but not as effective, they will get out pretty quick if they de agro, plus they try to avoid it a lot more, I’m on forglar mod map so it could be where I placed it
Did you build it exactly the same? They could never leave the trap unless I guide them out.
For some reason they can pop out of the bottom
Is it going through?
How do I get milk keep falling off ladders
oh, I haven't tested that actually. Maybe more ladders at the other side or you can just kill the wyvern after it's knocked out.
@@KaizerfromCrete you are right they can't get out
Can this trap alpha wyvern
yes with metal
42 pillars
Highly advised not using this trap the ai is way too smart for it instantly flew away before I could land
I just tested it, and it still works, try not landing and just flying through.
Are you from Crete ?
Yes, but don't live there.
Naze sa les bloque pas
how
Built it and it escaped within seconds. Not the best trap for me personally
Sorry to hear that, was it inside the trap? Getting the wyvern inside is a bit tricky but once it's in there, it couldn't leave.
Yeah it got in there but made a turn to go up and it got out. It’s ok though. I don’t blame you. Maybe the A.I got updated or something.
