I've tried these twice now and they really are the best pancakes I've ever made ... I added orange zest and juice and some cinnamon ... omg soft fluffy and crisp just amazing
tip for getting honey/golden syrup/ treacle off a spoon: wipe a little oil on the spoon first and the sticky syrups will slip right out

That looks yummy! I actually made a similar pancake this weekend but it was a ricotta pancake!
I love you Sarah and I do agree that the batter needed just a wee bit more liquid but the flavors look Amazing...Going to try them soon...Maybe I'll use 1/2-3/4 cup more buttermilk...Yummy!

The fact you have mentioned a 🇬🇧🇬🇧 Product Which i didnt think was sold across the pond is amazing!! Golden Syrup is used in most things here,
Pancakes, cereal, cakes, flapjacks, ice cream, over fruit our pancakes are different to yours those, its less thick than yours but thicker than a french crepe.. Maybe as a suggestion start doing some 🇬🇧🇬🇧 Recipes and on Thomas Joe's channel :) our recipes and what we are totally different to you guys :) and we have different words to you. Courgette and Aubergine for example

These looks awesome! I have to bake them! But I have one question: I often heard that eggswhites can be overbeaten, but how does that look like? Could you show us in a future video? Just that I can avoid it 😊
Overbeaten egg whites will look dry and crumbly, whereas if they were beaten correctly the texture is smooth and fluffy. When you scoop up overbeaten egg whites from the bowl, they will break off and look kind of jagged rather than smooth. I hope that makes sense. :)

Is the golden syrup similar to treacle? As in the treacle tart in Harry Potter.
Lyle's Golden Syrup is a type of treacle.
When buying treacle for this recipe, make sure to get the golden syrup, not the black treacle, as that is closer to molasses (delicious, but wrong flavor!)

What happens if you overbeat egg whites?
They start to break apart and go mushy.

Don't you just get so annoyed when the moment you eat it, then you realize the blueberries are sour... Ruins the whole thing.
Always avoid recipes with egg whites .... Way too much work. And now Golden Syrup ... LMAO .... Totally complicated recipe ... Not everyday!
With a mixer, it's not too much work. It's just slightly more complex than an average pancake recipe.
Then again, everyone has a different expectation for their everyday cooking.
I think I read a life hack that if you put some vegetable oil on a spoon you can easily scoop up really thick stuff
