Bike packing in November, you're hardcore Dave!! You'll have to change your name to "Dave the deer spotter", looks like you were surrounded by them up there. Cracking video again matey. Look forward to the next one. Cheers, Paul 👍
Cheers Dave, really enjoyed that trip out, some nice country and villages. That cottage was a bit spooky though, don't think I'd have wandered down there! Glad you enjoyed the beer, well deserved after that trip. :-) Alan.
That's some cycle in mind Dave! Hats off to you. And always good to see you back in Kershope - me and Annie were camped up that way 2 weeks ago, other side of river to the bothy. It was miserable that night, and I don't just mean Annie's company 🙄😂 The cake box on your cycle in looked the biz, I'll have to try and remember that place for next time I'm up that way. And it's great to see deer bound across the road / tracks in front of you, they might recognise human footsteps, but they've no idea what bicycles are 😁 Ciao for now atb DVS :)
Cheers Donna, my legs felt it a couple of days later 😂 yes I saw you camped there via IG 👍 cake box is great and only a £1 a cake too , so well worth it your ever passing 👍 atb Dave ⛺️🚲👍
2 hobbies in one dave ⛺🚴 long nights on your own like but the firebox makes a massive difference 🔥 recognised the area at the start.liking the music on your vids.
Nice one Dave really enjoyed that there’s a cracking spot to camp near me train from Carlisle to Dumfries then it’s about 10 miles out Mersehead nature reserve got forest and a beach so really good also they leave bird hides unlocked and they’re out of way could easy bivvy down in one of them and stay dry not camped there yet but spent lots of time down there have a look mate be a great spot ATB Coops 👍🏻🚴🍻
Sounds like a plan coops , but camping on a nature reserve they can get a bit uppity about it ? Well that is if they know lol I’ve come across a few bird hides and yes would make ideal bivi spots . Do you have any os map grid refs ? Atb Dave
@ dg2 8ah post code not sure about grid refs ….camping be fine mate the woods are on the far end of the reserve and both the hides are out the way too it’s lovely you go through the woods brings you out at the beach. There’s a gravel path most the way through the woods too so bike friendly 👍🏻
You should try the Kershope head bothey, it's only a couple of miles from where you were camped, a wood stove & bunks. I know it's not really camping but would make an interesting video?
Thanks yeah , my luck it would be full of folk. Not a big bothy lover as you gan home smelling of smoke for days lol , camped in green bothy over one the kindler side years ago now.
I think Route 72 is probably my favourite cycle route. It's not a challenging route particularly but it's just hard enough to keep you interested. Nice video, cheers. P.S. if you're using the DJI Neo, get yourself the goggles. When you're not using them to fly you can use them to watch films in the tent off an SD card.
Nice one Dave….I too love this season and yes the only downside are the longer darker hours. That scout hut/cottage had lots of crap weather shelter opportunities I noticed…..keep posting mucka One question though …..what are those front bar extensions you’ve got locked onto the handlebars as I’m researching ones for my cockpit. Cheers ….Bessie’s Ron
Thanks Ron, yes plenty of places to shelter if the weather turned really bad. Those bar extensions are just cheap Amazon ones , I have them on both bikes now and they work a treat. Link below ⬇️ Atb Dave www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CS9HD2FH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah sounds good, Kershope Forest looks like it’ll tick all my boxes👌🏻
Yeah kershope forest is on the reivers route, takes you east thru to Kielder then towards Newcadtle 👍
I think that’s a route I’d love to do, that book you sent me is in my ‘toilet book’ stack, I’ll have to reread it in the morning😂👍🏻
Very good Dave as usual some nice trails and locations. Well done. Take care. B. K.

@ so you come in off the main road , turn left past the car park thru the farm then continue to the woods and turn right towards the shore.

Yeah the weather has been the same here (Mid Wales) for weeks. The sun did appear on Tuesday and I almost called the police!
Ha yes we had sunshine on Tuesday too , it was a shock 😎👍
