Simon, you're here at just the right time, with just the right sort of soothing video. Totally needed it. That ended up a really lovely camp spot. Looking forward to part 2.
Thanks so much for your time and effort in the detailed filming, editing, and uploading. Thanks and gratitude to Mrs. In the Woods for loaning you out to us. Another peaceful and tranquil paddle/camp in the hallowed halls of Simon Adventures that I will watch many times over. I would like to see some of your Landy repairs and what you have to do to keep the chariot of the Gods running.
Heh, heh, “Everything now is covered in wine and smells lovely”. Simon, glad you enjoyed your paddle. We did too, thank you…from an old vet, retired in the US foothills of the Smokies.
Coot club (Ransom) was my downfall too! Sailed all kinds of boat . Schooners, Pilot cutters, Mediterranean gin palaces But never happier than a Canadian Canoe on Martham Broad ….. Copacetic!
My 1st bushcrafter to watch was Greg Ovens Rocky MT..Bushcraft, followed shortly by Bertram in the woods, Swedwoods, Corporal's Corner, Exploring with Marlo C who just got going not long ago & Simon, more or less in order of appearance. I'd be hard pressed to say who has better locations between Simon & Swedwoods, maybe followed closely by Greg Ovens & sometimes, Camping With Steve. Marlo's been getting some cool places out & around "Cow Hampshire" ( NH) recently so she's in the running!
It’s been awhile since the passing of Maggie now and I know you probably still ache but is there a chance of a new pup for your home and adventures? Stay healthy and humble Simon….that’s what we love about you.
@@simonablokeinthewoods Hey Simon! Another cool adventure! I knew you were tall but man, that small bridge you went under around 12:09 - ish almost had you lose your hat!! Not much going on across the pond here in the US besides T rump winning for better or worse although, my area is going through Indian Summer part 3! Lol! I forget when In October, ( I think it was the 1st week?) but we had the 1st frost & then, 3 to almost 5 days of high 70 to 80 degree F days. It happened again before Halloween & on Halloween, it was @ least 70 degrees F outside. Another drop with frost & wouldn't you know it, it pushed close to 80 degrees here in the wacky world of Western Massachusetts as of today, 11/5/24. No idea how long this'll last but, trying to enjoy it! Hoping some of this warmth blew its way over towards you too! Happy up & coming Turkey or whatever you folks have for Thanksgiving?
So glad you are back Simon! You have provided us with another great video! As an American I find your videos very interesting, especially the scenic ones!
Oh Simon, I haven't even watched your video yet, but I'm so thankful you posted one today. It's a relief for this very sad American. Time now to tuck in and watch my favorite RUclipsr.
And remember the wonderful music. Simon makes the most pleasant videos on RUclips because he gives great attention to details, a variety of skills, adventures, great meals and…wonderful music. Thank you, precisely, just what we needed, Simon…from an old vet, in the US foothills of the Smokies.
Simon, your video shows the joy of being outdoors in the "off season". I find my favourite evening walks are in the dead of winter, during a snowfall, when most others are squirreled away. The streets are hushed and and the snow makes everything look pleasant! The Norfolk Broads are a treasure! Thanks for the video!
Simon, you and your videos are very delightful. I always try to stop what I'm doing at the moment to watch you. It's like a little vacation. Thank you and stay safe 🙏
Well, you know people that finds treasure along the way they walk too are from. Why, thats because they do good things in their life. Plant good seed you will get good crops. You're the man Simon thanks for the video can't wait for part two.
This is wonderful, thank you! Just what I think we all needed right now. I am struggling with joint and back issues at present and have not been out in my canoe or camping for months! Getting desperate for some outdoors peace and quiet. I think I may be planning a trip to the Broads before too long!! (I loved the moment when we overheard some people recognising you!! Brilliant....fame at last!!) 😊
Watching this wonderful video whilst sipping on a glass of wine only to see you doing the same thing. Love your work Simon! You are touching a lot of folks when you share your outdoor adventures. Thanks so much and love ya man!
Great to see you out on the water. Beautiful vid. Smooth reflective water and a good history lesson. Good eats. Love the waterfront. Only one way to see it. Can't wait til next time. All good from east Kentucky USA
Part 2 looks absolutely stunning, that windmill would not be out of place in a Lord Of The Rings film 😊. It's really nice to see you out in the canoe Simon. It's what initially attracted me to your videos 😊😊
My last 2 trips to England, over 20 years ago, were both to Norfolk. Loved it there. Stayed with friends in Cromer, second trip was in a caravan on the beach at Bacton. Was at the Hickling Broads, because, at the time, my boss's last name was Hickling, so had to get a photo for her. I have to say, the morning shots of the sunrise in the mist, were breathtaking! Looking forward to part2!!
❤ so nice to see you on a canoe trip again ❣️ and that’s exactly where we were sailing 2 years ago from Eastwood Whelpton/Upton on a long weekend holiday trip ☺️
Great trip. I can only apologise for our fleet of rescue boats and Sea Scouts nearly sinking you at the end of the Bure. We had motored up from past Breydon. Wasn't it glorious weather for October. I only realised it was you after we had gone past. I've found a small dinghy is just great for the broads as you can then just camp aboard in many of the small dykes. Good stuff
Simon, thank you for starting another canoe trip adventure series. I appreciate seeing the sites, your cooking and you keeping us up to date on happenings in and around the northern broad. I trust your trip was as fun and recreational as it seemed.
Very nice video, Simon. Beautiful scenery and terrific weather. That was a truly nice leg of the trip. Anxiously waiting the remainder of the trip. Even with the near tragedy of losing your wine, almost reason to cancel the trip, almost. Best wishes on the weather for remainder of your trip. God bless my friend and stay safe on the remainder of your trip.
Well this was perfectly timed, needed this today. Really looking forward to part 2.
Dear Simon you don't no how much I enjoy your videos thank you for all your hard work x
You have a knack for making the calmest, most soothing videos - particularly needed today - thank you.
You know it's unwind time when Simon is on....🤗
Yes!
Haven't watched yet but a thumbs up for Simon already 🫡
Aaand exhale......The canoe videos are my absolute favourites. Bliss.
Simon, you're here at just the right time, with just the right sort of soothing video. Totally needed it. That ended up a really lovely camp spot. Looking forward to part 2.
You're correct. I had a day. Not bad, not good, it was just a day. I needed this too
Fantastic video. You produce some of the best content, thanks.
Thanks so much for your time and effort in the detailed filming, editing, and uploading. Thanks and gratitude to Mrs. In the Woods for loaning you out to us.

Thank you mate! 🙏🏻
Lovely to see the cedar strip canoe out on the water again. Always a thing of beauty.
Heh, heh, “Everything now is covered in wine and smells lovely”. Simon, glad you enjoyed your paddle. We did too, thank you…from an old vet, retired in the US foothills of the Smokies.
I love seeing the artifacts of architecture you feature. The peacefulness of your videos is so wonderful.
Norfolk, misty and wonderful.
Yes - a beautifully eerie county especially over the Autumn and winter months.
Thanks Simon. I needed this today.
Thank you can’t wait to watch. 👌
Thank you or showing us the Abby and so many parts of your country. Most of us will never have the opportunity to visit these places.
I adore Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazons books, including the stories set on the Broads. So fun to see these locations from your point of view!
Came here to say the same! Lovely to see the bridge at Potter Higham and imagine the members of the Coot Club easing their boat under it.
Coot club (Ransom) was my downfall too! Sailed all kinds of boat . Schooners, Pilot cutters, Mediterranean gin palaces
But never happier than a Canadian Canoe on Martham Broad ….. Copacetic!
Such a great thing to read all the comments and notice what an excellent community the wild campers and fans of bushcraft/camping are. Thanks Simon!

Maybe one day 🙂👍
Good to see you again Simon, was getting worried we hadn’t seen you in a while! Cheers!
I’ve always seen Simon with a little Jack Russell following him around and sitting in the canoe spotting for birds.

Especially love your canoe videos Simon, thanks so much for sharing this adventure with us. 😊🛶
That sunrise. With the early morning mist and the river like glass. Spectacular sight. Would make for a fantastic painting.
I agree & it's too bad somebody like Bob Ross isn't around to maybe try & recreate it as a painting
Hi dear friend. I'm glad to see you again. Your videos are beautiful as usual
Nature , canoeing and a beautiful campsite, nothing beats that !❤️

Thank you! I totally agree, the quietest times of year when nobody else is about are the best 👍
Good to see the cedar strip canoe repaired and out on the water again. No rapids in the Broads!
Simon, you and your videos are very delightful. I always try to stop what I'm doing at the moment to watch you. It's like a little vacation. Thank you and stay safe 🙏
