Not exactly craftsman quality, but we've got a run down old fish shack on the frozen water and that's what matters. Follow along on this one as we take possession of a rotten old ice fishing shack well past it's prime and put just enough love into it to get it out on the lake a little past prime pulling season. Join the struggle for the struggle is real. Haha Was it worth it? Time will tell.

You guy's remind of my buddy and I years ago, I am 50 now. lol . I have made about 5 shacks and learned so much. I just built a 6x8 double insulated floor and completely insulated walls and ceiling. All lined with with plastic and insulated barrier. I worked outside my whole life in freezing cold temps and my extremities can't handle cold anymore. Not to bore you but I love my new shack. I can heat it with a lantern to be honest. I was watching you pull it and i had the same problem years ago until i made a v plow in front of shack. Now i own a plow truck and can plow the path as your friend did with four wheeler. You have to do the V plow on the front of these shacks and go with 6x6 for skids with poly on the bottom. Wood burner's no! lol Big buddy all the way. had the wood burner's, takes to long and smoky. I have an ol school one in my deer shack and all good but heat the shack up with the cone 80, 000 btu to get the shack right, construction type from fleet farm. I like the video though and thank you for it.
Sounds pretty sweet man. I'm 43 now so hopefully I'll make some strides in the next few years and get some upgrades going. Thanks for the comments
Great video bud ,next time try putting a a steel bar in between the skids on the end your pulling from n put a pin in each outer end of the bar coming out the side so the skids so u can remove the bar if ya want n pull it tht way it will help pull it n lift the front up alil as its pulled to keep it from diggn in the snow. I've done it with a shed through mud n slush so it should work for you.
Haha. Yeah we need to work on a new skid design for this one which will include a rigid hitch. She needs more clearance and some better shoes for sure, but it'll wait. Thanks for the support as always, Brian.

LOL I've been a long time advocate for 'Work smarter, NOT harder'. The hard way almost always leads you to the smarter way. I have plans for a fold down tarp covered sled type somewhere. Super cheap(ish) reduce reuse recycle project & another fun adventure video!

as for hauling it make it so u tip it on one end get a old light trailer tip it back down on it the way you go..
