Thanks. I did this to my 06 and worked great. One thing to watch out for is how hot outside it is and what actual pressure it needs to be. You could be looking at going up to the 40-45 range if its Florida weather. Also the Low pressure port on these cars are a pain to get the plug to go on because you have brake lines in the way as well as one of the air intake hoses. You can forgot about testing the high pressure side as you will have to remove the alternator, header assembly, and possibly the AC compressor itself.
Please use professional dual gauges to confirm there is no pressure build up on high pressure side due to blockage at the evaporator.........this is critical.
There is no access to the high pressure port in these cars. You have to remove the headers, AC compressor, and alternator to get to port. Some cares are like this.
Dude you don’t want recirculation on you want the air to blow across the coil from the ambient temperature air. So you get the full charge need. Also you Need to purge the air trapped inside the hose so you don’t put O2 into the system that causes corrosion. Lastly you need to shake the can so you get vapor and liquid if more you get a liquid charge that will not adequately charged the system and wreck the compressor
The directions printed on the can specifically read “start the car, turn the ac on max and set to recirculation” I’m not saying you don’t know what you’re talking about, but could the manufacturer really be misleading everyone who buys there product?
Well a quick Google search depends on if your gauge is red or blue where your psi should be I was unaware there were diff colors and I've done this multiple b times just not on this car
DRO C dear u have any idea to advise me about 2007 Lexus is300ac compressor is basic or variable compressor because I can’t see any clutch engaging and release there thank you.
kenney nguyen elbow grease! haha. not sure. mine wasn’t on incredibly tight. if you’re still having issues, i would try something sort of a wrench with plastic so you don’t crack it. worst case, buy a new cap. they go for a dime a dozen.
@@TheKenney1010Did you end up getting it off? I tried to do that on my is350 today. The cap was so tight and there was not enough room for me to fit my hand down there to apply bigger force. How did you manage to get it off?
Awesome bro big thanks all the way from Cali 🙂

How long did the recharge last until the ac was back to blowing hot air?
Sorry for late reply. The AC lasted me another year...I sold the car and the Air was still blowing cold!
thanks
Supposed to charge between 40 & 45 that's the right pressure for this car, cuz I have the same car, 40 & 45 car will be extremely cold no problem
DRO C thanks for the comment, I called my local lexus dealer to make sure of what psi to charge it to. what year is yours?

How were you able to take the cap off the low pressure port?
