Absolutely love the candy bar idea for wax melts. Very cute. Thanks for the video
I highly recommend taking Jeff's class that he mentioned. Very informative!!
Thank you!!
I use Pro Blend 650 from The Flaming Candle and they come out perfectly hard and shiny. I love that wax! I’ll have to try that fragrance oil, sounds delicious!
What will happen if you use the Pro Blend 650 from The Flaming Candle?
Mine weigh 1.8 oz each. Sometimes I’ll add a contrasting drizzle and it ups it to 2oz
Im so jealous of your creativity w the candy bar look.. so creative!
Thank you!!
Love this idea! From the tarts to the packaging.Thank you for sharing another great idea! Your videos have been so helpful to me .
Really enjoyed your tutorial.
I have the 5 cell bars and they are so addicting. Took weeks to come because the molds are over seas but worth the wait. Now there on Amazon 😆
I was looking at those molds too.
yes please, can you make a video on the labels for these wax melts? Thank you
Absolutely
@@StandleyHandcrafted did you make any label video yet
Thank you so much for all your videos. You are so inspiring and uplifting. I always feel much more positive re my new candle business when I’ve watched one of your videos.
NIce! Raising the Bar
😁
This is a great idea! Absolutely love it
Oooooh I definitely love this Ideal forsure ✨✨
I so appreciate your help with trying to get started. Thank you!
Love the packaging! I thought the label was great!
Super cute!!!
Just subscribed, like this, starting my cosmetic line and want to add wax melts, so Thank You Very Much 😀
Nice...I use that same hotplate for some of my stuff. It's a good one. Takes a but of tuning though to get it just right.
What's the name of the hot plate in the video?
Soooo cute
I made these last weekend! After our class!
Thanks for the video. I have made a few wax melts. I see now did not add enough FO. Thanks
I've been waiting for this! 😀
Can you please make a vid (maybe you have already, ill keep looking) about the most common mistakes when starting a candle business...btw i love how you are for other people starting and successfully building a business. Some people wouldn't want potential competitors ❤
I can absolutely make that video and thank you so much! There is so much opportunity out there that I’m not worried about competition, I would much rather help others and win together. 🙂
They look great!
Thank you!
Hi Stanley I really loved your idea on the candy bar wax melt, also can you do labels do you do labels
Looks yummy and delicious enough to actually eat 😋🕯
Cute! I like these :)
Thank you!
Super nice vid! Here from the Pixel and lens club fam 🤘🏼
Hey thanks for checking it out!
Did you make a label video? I want to know where Do I place the lettering so when I fold it, it's in the right position
Gorgeous melts but imitating food like this in the UK would land you in serious trouble. Particularly the way you have packaged them. 📦
I use this mould but add lots of colour and a little glitter to make it look less edible. Customers in A&E are no joke! X
There are lots of 'dessert candles for sale' on UK sites, maybe they don't know the rules?
Over here we fold the two longer sides and then the top and bottom. They also sell for about €4 here as well.
Hi cool video, suggetion, when you folded the foil it would prob work better long ways first like a real candie bar
nice!!
Loveeeeee that you share with us I had been tryin to find the molds, so thank you.. will you have the template for us to purchase on your website?
Question are the classes free if not how much are the classes?.
Hit! This is off topic, but can you use the 4625 or tw-30 for a candle? I love your creativity!! Keep the videos coming!!! Thank you 😊
Thank youuuuuu🔥🔥🔥
Hi Jeff. I loved this video. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge with us! Just a quick question: Where would you put the warning label on these?
I would add it to the back of the wrapper.
Very nice! What size labels did you use?
What temps did you use with gw 494?
During the intro you mentioned a blend of 464 and 4625, but in the video you said you measured out 444. Which one would you use for the snap bars?
I would choose 464 over 444, it looks better.
They look great! The only thing that would bug me is they can't be sealed back up easily.
I was thinking the same thing and trying to come up with a solution.
You can also package them in a clear, resealable, plastic wrap. So you would have the gorgeous foil, the beautiful label all showing through the clear plastic wrapper that's resealable.
Zip lock bags work well
Well, I might have to try these molds, as buying candle supplies is becoming tricky…clamshell molds have even been challenging to purchase. I know candle science sells them, but they’re a little pricey there compared to where I usually buy them. I’m just really curious to see how you package them…so many choices! Sorry…still in the beginning of this video, so I don’t know if you discuss the packaging yet!
I'm wondering what temp r u pouring?
Do you still stir fragrance oil for 2 minutes? As a rule or overall?
Nope, I stir for maybe 30-40 seconds.
Great video.. Do you have to put a how to use warning on label?
It's always a good idea. Now that they're done I will go through and actually make a real label for these.
How long do you cure the 469?
How do u know what size to use for lables and and where do u get the molds
How long do wax melts need to cure before trying them out?
I tried them, but hated the way they were banged up. I tried shipping to family and they arrived broken and with dents.
Karen Morland at Edens Secret will show you how to make the perfect chocolate bar wax melt wrap. She even makes her own label wraps
what size are the labels?
will the scent leech out if wrapped in foil?
What was the temperature before you poured the fragrance
Usually around 175-180°
@@StandleyHandcrafted oh ok thanks
aww man i wanted to here the snap
How much of the 4625 did you use with the 444
Maybe 10-15%
So you were able to add 2oz of FO to your wax??? I've been pulling my hair out because I can't get a strong hot throw due to the fact of the waxes saying to add only 1oz of FO per pound of wax.
😭😭😭
I only add that much oil to melts and only to certain waxes. Some melt waxes will only hold around 1oz of oil.
For candles I add 8% oil
@@StandleyHandcrafted Thank you! 😎
Hello Jeff; you've done it again w with your creativity.....love it
where did you get the wrappers?
What’s the scale?
That is so cool:) sorry I must have missed it. What percent fragrance load are you using? And can I use pure soy for wax melts?
He said 16 oz wax and 2 oz of oil
Wondering if I could use igi 6006 for melts?
Hi Jeff. Love this. You’re so creative! How do you store the wax bars to prevent them from melting in the packaging?
Thank you, :)
Adding a little harder wax will help quite a bit in hotter temps.
@@StandleyHandcrafted thank you!
Is there ever a issue about it looking like a food probduct??
hi jeff sorry I did not understand what are the forms of chocolate with wax for what purpose are they used?
What was the percentage for 444 and 4625? Also % fo
90% 444 and 10% 4625
Then how is the bar use after ? What are we gonna do with that ?
You snap a piece off and put it in your melter
I have these molds and I find that they get residue on them after cleaning and are impossible to get the residue off. Then, my wax melts are foggy which is ugly... how do you clean these?
Sydney I wash with warm soapy water and once dry I wipe them out with rubbing alcohol or Vodka. Actually prefer Vodka - lol - but it really helps.
Jeff where did you get the moulds from? I'm in Australia so hoping they are available.
In Australia sud off sell them
Oofs. Id imagine these would be a nightmare for summer time shipping.
Adding some 4625 would help that a lot
@@StandleyHandcrafted how much should I add?
@@JenaHuffman when I do melts like these I use about 20-25% 4625 hardens up very nice.
@@JenaHuffman I add around 10-15%
Are you on Patreon
I set it up but haven’t officially launched it yet. I do have subscriptions on the RUclips channel though for now. 🙂
Ok I am also in Patreon
Do you except orders for making labes
Sadly not allowed to be done in the uk due to the food imitation act as a child could mistake and eat
You should check out edens secret.
hey jeff , i’m a beginner candle maker. i purchase from midwest fragrance frequently. do you know any coupons that would reduce the price a tad bit ?
This is just wonderful I'm so so gutted I can't do this for my wax melts - UK laws won't allow anything that looks like food CRYING RIGHT NOW - I LOVE. Great job dude.
There are lots of 'dessert candles' on UK websites, are they not supposed to be doing that?
UK is always left out of everything
Hi Jeff! How did you like using the foil for the wax melts? Did you experience any negative side effects from using it? I’m thinking of using foil for wax melts and then wrapping it all in a cellophane bag just in case? So I can put the label on the cello bag so customers have a spot to store the wax bar after they open it?
Let me bite some nom nom!
✨✨🖤✨✨🖤✨✨🖤✨✨🖤👍🤗👋
Ive been making these choclate bar moulds for 3 years so its nothing new and in perfect packaging using high quality soy wax
They have been around a long time.
If you were making chocolate bar wax melts, why didnt you use chocolate scents?
that was my reason for watching!
Sorry just saw this, most chocolate scents I've tried smell terrible
I think it's wrong and unsafe to wrap it to look like a chocolate bar as children couls very essilg mistake it for chocolate. America really need some appeopiate food imitation laws
Kids eat things regardless if they’re shaped like food or not.. it’s the parent’s responsibility to keep unsafe items out of a child’s reach and to watch them.
Americas food imitation laws work just fine. In our country it’s common practice and common sense to teach our children not to eat non-food items. If you don’t agree with how the wax melts look, don’t make them. No need to ridicule a whole country because something doesn’t work for you.
Calling these "chocolate" bar is very misleading. I'd never put that on a label. Candy scent bar would be more accurate.
It’s not on the label
They look like white chocolate Bars
I'm sure somewhere on the labels it states not for consumption keep out of reach of children and pets.
Classes for $100.00 really! Way too much considering every candle supply company has tutorials & instructions free. There’s even small businesses teaching here for free. I’m smelling a rip off. I’ve been making candles for 50 years & am willing to share my knowledge free.
You don't need to buy my class, I also teach everything for free and I always let people know this.
This class is a four hour long coaching session that gets to the point for people who dont want to filter through weeks or even months of content for the same information. Some people want to get in and learn it all in one sitting and ask all sorts of questions, otherwise I teach all of this in my videos and in the facebook group.
