bro its the only true offroad bike among these ive always dreamt of owning a motorcross lvl bike hero is the only one that come close to that segment toni bou will choose xpulse anyday over these.
Hero xpulse is the only true offroader here. But little underpowered. As a tourer I dislike it for its grasshopper like look. Other three are much good looking. To me appearance is also important. Sujuki's vstorm 250 is also a great tourer
If i got a ruppee for everytime i heard "going the distance" i would be able to afford to service the bmw

Yes bro and I own a Xpulse, it has a sensor to detect side stand. Once detected it will kill the engine. Not allowing you to ride further

Himalayan is complete package, great suspension setup, low end is superb, seat foaming is best in all these 4
The only thing i miss is little bit more power, but still it's great performer at 100-110kmph
Tube tyre is the only problem on Himalayan

If its pure adventure then Xpulse. Its lighter and cheaper to service, with Xpulse you have a freedom to take the bike to the extreme as your mind is not thinking of hefty service cost if you ever crash.

Xpulse makes most sense. you can save a lot of money and buy riding gears, bags etc..
Consider service intervals while comparing service cost. BMW 10000 Km once, KTM 7500 KM once, Himalayan 5000-6000 KM once, Xpulse 3000 Km once.
KTM threw the towel by downgrading their bikes to previous iteration. Something that was so unexpected from them

@motobeam - Problem with BMW GS 310 even though price has reduced, dealers are charging additional fees for logistics,registration + insurance(seems high as well) etc that eventually pushes price to 3.55L close to KTM 390
Insurance covers all parts of the motorcycle is what I understand. Including panels. Its an insurance product specifically made for BMW. So the premium cost is justified I guess. Keep me posted if my data is wrong.
Xpulse needs at least 300cc engine. Then it ll be the king of this segment.
Yeah atleast a 250CC engine should've been provided.
Exhaust looks horrendous, and the seat can only fit half of your ass.
Every review misses the most important point .
I want to bring to your attention that no matter how experienced the rider is he is bound to face an accident ( every biker has once met with one.)
Most accidents are due to inability to control at high speeds( more than 100kmph)
So I have made myself committed to not buy a speedy motorcycle. I wanna enjoy the ride and not become a ktm chapri.
100kmph is too much and enough on a highway
Even if accident occurs I wont get injured that much (given the speed is below 100 .)

Himalayan lives up to its name. Thanks to RE for the legend. Simplicity at its best. It may not be having all electrical gadgets however it does get sufficient things you require and explore nature peacefully. Adventure is not a race, it gives thrills, excitement, purpose and this machine does it job well if you willing to go . No bike is perfect you get what you paid for and your bike ride style. KTM for fast agile , bmw for comfort and fast enough but comes at a price and ownership cost . xpulse mini himalayan if you have budget constraint and not able to go for himalayan . Himalayan hits at the sweet spot .

Dominar isn't an adv bike.. It's a touring bike..

That was a great video, good analysis and I liked the very last part where you explained the main purpose for each of them. I have to say that most videos for these entry level adv bikes are from India, so I had a little bit of a problem understanding the accent at the beginning, but now i am used to it and I can enjoy your reviews and those from other Indian channels as well. I do my adventure trips on my Hero Bicycle gives me more milage than anything else and keeps me healthy btw ican't afford to fill up tank for Rs.100/lit

if i were to choose from this 4.. regardless of the price I'll definitely go for ktm adv 250..
I would go for KTM 390 adv. 80% highway touring and 20% offroad is perfect combo.
Xpulse.. Easy n cheap maintain nothing bulky to breakdown. Will take you anywhere everywhere. I want better light and breaks.. Little bit of mods and you are ready to go.

Fuel tank capacity isn't the final factor in deciding how far a motorcycle can "go the distance". We have to consider the mileage too. If you have less mileage then some 2-3 extra litres does not make a lot of difference. In my opinion.
Bmw g310 gs is the best when it comes to comfort and the feel....

Service cost of BMW GS is overblown when you can easily get it done by your local mechanic. Its not complex motorcycle.
Hero Xpulse Problems:
1) No double stand
2) No Halogen headlamp
3) Poor quality seat( Less width)
4) Poor Postion of Exhaust Node
5) No Place for dicky/ side box
6) No Tubeless tyres
7) No Phone charger....

Himalayan pros : Low down torque, suspension, service coverage, fuel tank
Himalayan cons : Brakes, stock tires, Halogen lights, Tube tires (punctures), top speed 120kmph, no 6th gear, no slipper clutch, air cooled, weight, chassis broke in previous models
Recommended mods : EBC brake pads, Apollo tires, tubeless conversion kit, after market LED, powertronic ECU

RE Himalayan would-be a better option in all the ways, budget maintenance and services available every where for a serious adventurer..
Full metal bash plate ?? Say what my gs310 came with flimsy plastic ones. The one in this particular bike are some 10-15k option.

Cone set is still issue in RE himalayan and fit finish is not at all good in Himalayan and vibes don't know when it will go
And the service for Himalayan is 4000 where KTM has 7500 BMW 10000 and xpulse 3000 now compare

BMW nd KTM are not true off-road machines. I was also confused between Himalayan and Xpulse..my search ended with Xpulse and indeed it is far better than the competition while off-roading (Worst for Highway Touring among all). If you need a tourer, go for KTM...If you need comfort, go for GS.. Himalayan is badly priced, it should be tagged somewhere around 1.80 - 1.85 lakh on road...2.50 lakh for Himalayan is just too much, however it is a good offroader after Xpulse.
You guys need lots of improvement I think. All the best and keep it up 👍🏻
If I m buying any bike at 2 lakh cost range then I will put my hard earned money only if the manufacturer gives me
1) Very Comfortable Seat and seating Posture
2) Very comfortable Suspension
3) Decent Power, Torque, Average which is at par with competition of similar segment
4) Safety with Dual Channel ABS
5) Very good tyres with good grip on roads during all seasons.
6) Liquid Cool FI Engine
7) No Vibrations
8) Looks and Features would be only an added advantage
Then you might aswell build the bike yourself .
