I remember the symphonic orchestra Doctor Who concert with Peter Davison, it was a defining moment of my childhood and a day I will never forget. With Murray's return I hope they bring these back so I can experience this one more time
One thing that should be noted is that Deliah Derbyshire didn't use musical instruments to realize the Doctor Who theme. Her realization is the only tv theme to not use musical instruments.
I was at the last one of these in Glasgow. I was so happy that they had included the Eighth Dr in the sequence. It made me feel like he was finally part of the cannon.
The original “Symphonic Spectacular” was the Australian response to/version of the BBC Proms 50 years celebration of “Doctor Who”, then it went on world tour - I saw it in the UK about 7-8 years ago. So you never know, it might get restaged in Australia some day…..
Wow what? I remember seeing the first Dr Who episode in 1963. As an 11 year old it was truly awesome. That theme tune really grabbed me.
This feels like a combination of the 2008 and 2013 themes
It does, I heard the saxophones 😉
And the piano
There's something so epic to me about seeing the old title sequences combined with the modern theme. 1:20 goes hard

The Hartnell Theme always get me.
The 60s theme tune was the best he was the best doctor who too
I can’t imagine what this was like in person. I live in Australia so I likely won’t ever get to experience this.

I remember going to see this when it was in Perth! It was soooo good!!! If this was RAC Arena i was there!
Thanks brought back memories being there!!
I was there, I was there!!!
You were there!
Were you one of the Oods?
@@Bucking_Fastard no, I was the Dalek that showed up on the stage. EXTERMINATE!
ALL HAIL THE DALEKS! THE SUPREME BEINGS IN THE UNIVERSE! DALEKS CONQUER AND DESTROY!
Absolutely Fantastic!! I can only dream of being there in person
1:54 i just realised, they skipped out the storm title sequence, why?
My guess is they were just doing one title sequence per Doctor. They merged Pertwee's and Baker's, and Davison and C. Baker's.
For some reason they used Pertwee's second intro and not Tom Bakers first intro
@@mrmister3782I think they paid a homage to the unused titles for Tom
2023 theme will be biggest similar 2013 theme
nice share
The SSE was this in Belfast
Hello bro! Will you upload "The Time of the Doctor? Symphonic spectacular" , if you have it.. please

Ah the days when Dr Who was fun and not loaded with a sinister agenda.
Doctor who was always political.
Have you ever watched Doctor Who before? It's literally always been political.
