Sadly, from what few conversations I've had, the people who play expeditions seem to be, for the most part, the sort of people who play raids in d2 every day. Whales who sink money into cosmetics because they need something to make them feel special. I suspect that's why Bethesda's given them 3 new expeditions that very few other players will run more than once.
You would think the devs paid attention to the lack of players going to the Pitt after the first month. I felt bad for the players who had to grind stamps to earn the Union power armor
In all honesty this is precisely the change Expeditions needed, less of a focus on timed missions and more freedom of movement, more stuff to do, and good lord FINALLY we have some proper minigames! Really hoping the new Pitt missions will have something similar. Would love some kind of metallurgy themed minigame in a retaken Foundry.
Yes mate, I really liked the mini games haha I’m hoping to see the fully fleshed side mission soon. Even from the early state it’s in, it did sound like an interesting set up to me
Since Atlantic City is a major population center, which tends to be where Vault-Tec conducts most of its experiments, there could be a vault or Vault Tec facility nearby where a GECK could be stored. It would also partly explain why the pine barrens have been spreading into the city proper.
@@UraniumFever76 I'm going back and forth in my mind on whether this is either lazy writing, inattentive story-telling, or simply an elaboration of circumstances common to the apocalypse. So, we have the Scorched and the Strangler creatures, already. Now, we have the Overgrown; and they will be the THIRD "mind-control" type bad guy in FO76. On top of that, the Strangler creatures were already the result of a GECK explosion (and underutilized, in my opinion), so if the Overgrown are also GECK-related... well, I'll just be slightly disappointed.
I think the places will be filled out more when the free exploration update comes out. The Pitt also doesnt have many free walking filled out places, but it doesnt need it because of closed off and what a gauntlet it is to go through, at least my one time playing it. And the fact you could leave from one area and go to the next shows that at least it wont be fully closed off maps in exploration.

It's likely been kept rather unfinished on purpose so they can change things that need to be changed more easily. I hope no one interprets this as a hate comment at all, I don't mean to get into an argument or anything. I just think that it's a bit odd to criticize an unfinished build for being unfinished.
Awww dammit I was hoping for something more like the Return of human npc humans update until an update like that I don't think I'll be getting back into the game.

Hmmm... Why are the responders involved again? I fail to see the purpose of this. I appreciate the content and added missions, but how does this relate to anything? So you can take a vacation from Super Mutants and play with new creatures... Seeing new places, good, but where does it connect? Honestly, I would have loved to see the Enclave (insidious as they are) or Vault Tec (somewhat of a sub division of the Enclave) involved... Also, what was Vault 76 purpose? The underlying experiment? We seem to never address it or enjoy finding out how we were manipulated all along into some dastardly scheme. 😂😂😂 Anyways, at least my ideas have a sense of imagination and content continuity... Or why never introduce the ability to purchase more character slots... or make super mutants and ghouls pc... Maybe I am being too rational... I thought that -- if you can play all sorts of races in Elder Scrolls, why not Fallout? Seems like Bethesda wants to make a lot of content that while interesting, lacks depth and cohesiveness. The responders died, yo! Let it go. The whole intro before NPCs made this clear. Scorched ate em up. 😂 I am being an arse, but read all the content again... Maybe a new story with Rose getting involved with the Raiders or a take over. She, as a robot, is far more capable than some woman who needs a noob to show she has traitors in her midst. Forgive me... Ive read too many books and I expect more real writing, and not just pro liberal drivel. 😅
@@Pigness7 Take silos... come on man... how do you push people to take silos when the overseer and leadership is dead? There's no motivator. This is hardly befitting of a vault tec scheme. Radiation experiments, drug experiments, addiction, etc... go resettle the wasteland and some tools is all well and good, but again, no real purpose. If the camp were to attract the attention of the Enclave or something, I would support your claim, but it doesn't. Weak writing.
Another expedition, soon to become an incessantly repetitive and monotonous grind, requiring daily commitment for months to accumulate enough stamps to purchase just a handful of items. It's time to put an end to this lackluster and uninspired gameplay loop and refocus efforts on enhancing Fallout 76. Players eagerly await the Steel Dawn expansion; they yearn for engaging content, not yet another tedious and obligatory daily routine.
So about 30 minutes of gameplay for one year of work on another weak so called dlc. It's not the game that's bad it's the people working on the game. I'm sure the Atlantic City will be cool but they are lacking so badly in content unless it's Atom Shop. But it just seems like copy paste no effort from the team.
idk my biggest gripes are defo the fact that the overgrowns are just reskinned super mutants and ghouls ( kind like the once in a blue moon creatures ) and that is just lazy. Also they need to make the showmen junkies or something, like I get fo76 isnt as dark as other fallouts but cmon they be a goofy elder scrolls faction straight up ( Also you like shoot them two twins at the end and they just fall on their knees so at least impling you got drugged would make it kinda more believable )
@@Pigness7 read my comment, condescending pee brain, I said where is our expansion, starting we don't need another expedition not what an expansion is😒
Do you mean like a expansion of Appalachia or a new area to explore? Because they already confirmed the latter. And every expedition from now on will have a new free roam area
The number one thing that bugs me is the fact that the Casino Quarter just looks an awful lot like a plant-infested Watoga. Like I get it, and i suppose it sorta makes sense, but if they needed to reuse the same building assets I kinda wish they would have at least changed the colors a bit to make it more distinct. I'm no game dev so I have no idea how quick or simple that is, but idk, I just feel like at least a palette swap to like blues and cyans instead of reds and oranges wouldve worked a lot better for a coastal locale and helped differentiate the two areas.

@@jarnokorhonen3840 I do wish there was more players per server as well. I did have the chance to play both Atlantic City expeditions today and they were alright.
I haven't got 76
I was under the impression that you have to pay a monthly subscription
But I have this guy mocking me saying that he don't pay for it
Can someone please enlighten me please
What? Been playing 76 for years and I never once payed a single cent for fallout 1st membership a simple Google search would've answered your question
@@pieck5460 I've tried a get conflicting information
What do you mean fallout 1st
What's the subscription for if it's not mandatory?
I'm new to it that's all 🙄
@@stickykitty You get specific benifits like a private server and exclusive cosmetics, its not required to play the game
@@Pigness7 thank you for taking the time to explain
@@stickykittyYeah it's free to play but you can choose to pay a subscription for extra benefits. It's not a big deal at all but I would recommend paying the subscription because it pays the equivalent amount in premium currency other than that the game has an mind boggling amount of content and EVERYTHING is F2P accessible you can even unlock premium a good amount of premium currency in game
This game is on life support. I can't see MS keeping this up and running in a year or two.
Its definitely not. It was recently on ps plus. The show coming out soon will give it another injection of players and the game has been making them good enough money that there's no reason For them to shut it down anytime soon
I have a question is this dlc a new Map expansion or more boring Expedition junk
The latter.
Bring back raids!
76's purpose was to secure the nuclear silos in Appalachia for vault tec
Boooo we want a new map. They cant fix this game :(
idk my biggest gripes are defo the fact that the overgrowns are just reskinned super mutants and ghouls ( kind like the once in a blue moon creatures ) and that is just lazy.
They did the same thing in FZnV and it was fine I see no problem with adding a bit more enemies
@@infernaldaedra I think its cool they are adding new shit im just sayin it doesnt feel unique ( also what is FZnE )
Great give us another expedition even though every player kept screaming no we've only asked for one thing a actual dlc
Great, another pitt mission😒 where is our expansion.
its called an expedition, not an expansion
@@Pigness7 read my comment, condescending pee brain, I said where is our expansion, starting we don't need another expedition not what an expansion is😒
ok hear me out but i wish they could make Atlantic city a hub area for players to chill in
They did an amazing job with creating the locations, but sadly nothing new gameplay wise. Disappointing....
A lot riding on part 2
Pretty vague complaint but wouldn't expect nothing less for a 76 fan
I hope we get a expansion to the map that would be cool
Also we need a camp budget increase
All that will ever happen is new daily ops 2.0
This Atlantic City is going to be one building and nothing else
@@FP194are you this depressing in person? Go cry
Foreal go get ur d s’d
Do you mean like a expansion of Appalachia or a new area to explore? Because they already confirmed the latter. And every expedition from now on will have a new free roam area
@@mike_3613no that's just the reality of 76 you don't need to get worked up over something you know will never happen.
I was expecting a New Vegas Strip style for it honestly. I don't mind the Last of Us feel, but perhaps for an inner city location and not for this.
@@UraniumFever76 Yeah I can see that. It does seem a tad strange for a city that's actively promoting tourism and has functioning casinos to have said gambling dens be located in a reclaimed-by-nature section of the city with an active mutant problem
I'm sooo sure that most of the 76 subreddit and some players are gonna be pissed that there's the 5STR requirement for the slot machine
I hate they want the game to be a easy mode shit or almost creative mode experience with everything handed to them
You think so? I only couldn't because my pts character is a fresh dweller, I don't think 5STR is too high.
Yeah, like on other PTSs there's WIP stuff, I remember playing the wastelanders PTS with TTS voices and missing outfits. Pretty normal.
Yeah, that's why I think we shouldn't be too quick to right anything off just yet. They've got time to iron some things out.
They just lost a lot of hype from me 😢
I thought it was an addition to the base map
Sadly no!
WOW 2 whole missions after pretty much no significant content in a year. They are really spoiling us.
I don’t disagree, but originally this was all going to be next year. Im glad there’s something new at least, although this update definitely needs work still.
@@UraniumFever76this hardly seems new with no new weapons or actual new enemies just reskinned mutants and other enemies just named something else
@@UraniumFever76 Not being rude but he's right, BSG have produced complete Tat this entire year, even if this was next year's content it'd still be laughably poor, I dont think anyone wanted more expeditions compared to story missions or a main map expansion and the fact they push what is essentially copy and pasted daily ops with a fancier title is getting insulting.
@@jackbascom2572idk if you noticed but they kinda had to finish up and ship a whole new fucking game
@@Pigness7 well they have different teams for 76 don't they? It's sad they don't have many people working on 76 it could easily have so much more. Something as big as the settlers update would be amazing, I'd personally rather they work on adding to the base map instead of another separate area with some side content without anything to actually work towards
So basically be pointless after doing it once or twice like the pitt
I hope that overgrown AR becomes a skin we can use.
It is a skin you can buy with stamps.
I really loved the Aquarium part of Atlantic City as I got serious Bioshock vibes from that location. I also liked the Boardwalk part of Atlantic City as well minus the plus 87 rads a second in the ocean.
Yeah don't go swimming lol!
Only $49.99 to play this update. How could i get so lucky thats so cheap. Im so lucky 76 lets me pay all that money for a bunch of shit
As a Big fan of Fallout who lives 10 minutes outside Atlantic City this has me pretty psyched haha.
New stuff looks really dope
1200 slot space in my stash box is not too good, Al. At lv71 I have to rely on carry boosters and Buff to fast travel again. There was all these new weapons and armor in the Halloween update you can get from the event enemies that I can't fit enough in my stash. Please, up the stash count from 1200 to 1500 or more at least so I can travel somewhat light again.
Buy fallout 1st or make an alternative character to stash your stuff
You can get a different mission if you kill the showman at the beginning of tax evasion
Il try that next time I'm on!
@UraniumFever76 fair just happen to see another person try it on accident wanted to let you know
This is a terrible terrible dlc. Crap story, dialogue.. nothing interesting. First of all, Taxes? things you’re supposed to collect aren’t there. My pip and lock pick don’t work properly on my controller while here but work fine in the wasteland . Just horrible but I’ll give it another try.
Great job on the video is always but the content and self looks like crap it looks more of the same old same old boring crap that unless there's achievements, I'm probably just going to pass all the way around
i don't think this team is capable, willing or even allowed to do the new area justice. i mean crossdressing clowns and circus sideshow freaks are a faction? i'm not asking for blood meridian here just a little bit of a tone check that isn't just family friendly goofy zany wacky all the time.
hairstyles or hairstyle shop in white springs ..
we need expansions like eso and dlc .. that is maps and campig areas to build not quest only maps ..
a pet to follow us around the map please like a companion we have them in eso so why not here such as cat dog or monster
Are the new missions actually able to be completed? Unlike the stupid defend section in the Pitt?
Bethesda, once again phoning it in with the Fallout content.
I played it. Both. The Pitt is better. Trust me
I'm going to hold my tongue till the public release is out, the lack of NPC's is concerning however this is the public test server meaning its not 100% I think they are just showing the quests and some background for now while they work out bugs and stuff, I will admit the maps do seems small but maybe there is more they haven't shown yet because again its a PTS and this is part 1 of 2 so we'll just have to wait and see, so far I like what I see and I'm very excited to dive down into the lore that made atlantic city what it is!
What’s the saying you can’t polish a turd?.
I won't expect Bethesda to change any of this really lol.
Remeber when we saw the Blue Devil and Ogua in the PTS and thought "Huh, maybe the lack of unique animations is gonna get changed"? Well here we are, with a retextured Deathclaw and a brown Megasloth with a shell
So when are they going to add Nuka world?
