I survived the LA to Singapore route back in 2018 too! It was an unforgettable experience and one that I’ll cherish, being that United discontinued the route. Nice video and continued travels to you!
I’m glad I just came across your channel. Your commentary is great and very informative. Just subscribed, looking forward to seeing more content from you.
Thanks, really appreciated! And if I wasn't trying to survive on that student budget I'd definitely be doing the same, the extra legroom would have made a world of difference
Wow I really love your commentary and general disposition. And great footage, most informative trip report on this flight period. Your channel will def blow up with this quality, keep it up
Your tips are definitely very useful. Nice video and coverage of the overall trip. I am currently planning for my year-end trip with SFO-SIN with UA as my inbound journey and come across your video. Good info and very entertaining.
Good video...that is a rough flight in economy. I'm flying from the US to Singapore in April but I'm going East so I can fly on Qatar. I've subscribed!
Duuudee! I really like the editing you did for this video :) It is so lively and the timings are perfect! Nice review too and looking forward to the return flight review!
In the future -- for every Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft of all airlines (including United Airlines) parked at the gate with 2 jetbridges --, the gate MUST ALWAYS use BOTH jetbridges for passenger loading and unloading to ease the passenger traffic for both boarding and deplaning processes.
Even though it’s from 19 this video is very informative I’m actually looking at when I can return to Australia and it looks like I’m flying from the West Coast Frisco to Singapore Singapore to Perth very good advice very very good advice
I took nonstop flight from Phoenix to Frankfurt on Condor. It’s a very long flight. I sleep on the plane. I was on the inaugural flight. The flight was so successful. Coming home from Frankfurt to Phoenix. It’s took 13 hours flight. I got all 3 empty seat. It wasn’t too much passengers. I flew on the 767-300ER. I was visiting my brother in Basel for a week. When I came back home. I was so extremely tired. I have sleep for most of the day. Because it’s a very long jet legged.
Back in2015 I did Qantas iah to syd...18 hours on the plane...17:22 in the air Binge watching United flights atm....4.5 hours first flight from iah to nrt then on to bkk
Headed out from Toronto for the same flight today, except on the night flight. Very nervous about such a long flight. I also got a great fare one way. Ended up going to premium economy a month ago. United’s website is really easy to use if you want to change seats or upgrade. I was surprised that when I upgraded my service they refunded the original seat booking price. It was only $9.00, but still thought it was nice.
17 inches of pitch sounds rough 😂. Also damn! Toronto to Singapore is quite the journey. Great flight review. Personally I’d be happy to deal with the uncomfortable seat (all 17 inches of it) if it meant flying on a Dreamliner. Bucket list material right there.
Fantastic trip report. I think they should've served more than 2 meals since this is a 16-hour flight. I love UA's IFE, but I'm not a fan of their catering service tbh
It was survivable, but definitely not great - if you have the choice to upgrade to an Economy Plus seat (or go with a different airline altogether) I'd consider that first
I did the same trip…but I connected on a flight from Newark. I did not “survive” I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. In my humble opinion, you started the video off pretty negatively. Of course it was an ordeal if that was the mindset from the very beginning!! My focus was on the vacation and how lucky I was to be able to afford one of any kind. These RUclips travel videos will often make it seem like only business or first class are fit for humans. This is not true. Life is what you make of it and as long as you get there safely and enjoy your destination, Economy class is just fine. If anyone is wondering (or even cares about this opinion) I am indeed a veteran of tons of long distance airline trips. Most of which have been in economy class (when I became an adult, paying my own way). Zero regrets and the experiences were GREAT. PS: After Singapore, I went to Australia which was also the trip of a lifetime…also in economy PPS: your tips and tricks were absolutely correct, in my experience. Never underestimate the benefits of plane yoga too!
United serves Stella Artois beer ? 😝 This is definitely the worst beer on this earth. They should serve Becks or Warsteiner. Belgium beer is used in Germany for cleaning cars and trucks ( no joke ).

I wish they would do a daytime flight from SFO/LAX to Sydney, because I just can’t stand overnight flights/sleeping on planes.
Same here, I really love being able to see out the window

Apologies for the late reply here, but thank you so much! Really means a lot :)
Awesome review!! I fly this flight regularly every so couple months. Upgrading the seat to premium economy is a must for me.
Thanks, really appreciated! And if I wasn't trying to survive on that student budget I'd definitely be doing the same, the extra legroom would have made a world of difference

Thank you so much! That's really appreciated
Awesome video and production. I did the Toronto>Singapore>Toronto trip 4 times with United last year, so this video brought back some memories!
No way! Kudos for you for surviving all those long rides. Happy you enjoyed the vid :)
The wing flex on this plane is CRAZY!!
Your tips are definitely very useful. Nice video and coverage of the overall trip. I am currently planning for my year-end trip with SFO-SIN with UA as my inbound journey and come across your video. Good info and very entertaining.
Great Video!!! United and SFO are by far the two best things lol

You're a HERO thanks so much man! Really appreciated. Trying to crack out the next few as soon as school dies down haha

Great advice and nice editing. I’m going on a 12 hour flight on United going to Tokyo
Thanks, really appreciated! Hope it was a good trip
Good music, footage and info. Enjoyed it.
Awesome video man I loved it
Thanks so much!

How was the flight? Hope it went well!

Was definitely worth it in the long run, honestly a lot less bad than I was worried it would be. Hope ya get the chance sometime!
Very interesting. It will help make me think that my flights to and from Nova Scotia are just a local hop, although even 6 hours sucks!
Definitely feel that!
Nice to know you👍
I have a 17 hour 45 minute flight coming up Houston to Sydney. I can only hope I can find some knockout drops.
Lol, I'm flying this exact plane, registration checked, and this seat is a few rows behind me.
My route is ORD-DEL.
Flew on the return trip and it was better than expected! 15 hour flight but felt more like 3 hours. 🤣
Great video my friend keep up the good work 😁 also i love the 787.
Your voice is pure ASMR

I took the same flight and posted a vlog about it on my channel! Great video btw!
Awesome, I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks!
I was on that flight, but it was Singapore to San Francisco on the 777-300ER
no 777-300ER fly SIN-SFO nonstop, you were likely flying one stop SIN-HKG-SFO
United!!!!!! 😅bless your heart, honey
Nice shooting , are you staff in airport?
Thanks! I am indeed, but in Vancouver haha
At 00:59 you show a card with B767-300. So how is this titled 787?
1:00 what 767-300!! someone misplaced that you wouldnt have made it LOL!
That tomato was bigger then the meal LOL ...
That 757 at 2:42 I was in that plane.
when?
didn't united tell its flight attendants to not lock the windows for passengers? why do they keep doing it?
You should try SQ32 next, SIN-SFO. And compare the differences
Would LOVE to someday - flew the Singapore A350 from Barcelona last year and it was great
How was the legroom ?
It was survivable, but definitely not great - if you have the choice to upgrade to an Economy Plus seat (or go with a different airline altogether) I'd consider that first
AA has better legroom imo
It's very fortunate that I purchased Premium Econ because of my very long legs.
@13:30 whoa MH A380 at Singapore??
11:58 isn’t that the Penang Bridge?

9:00 whaaat? OMG 😂😂
Where is the UA 747-400? I don't see any of them.
Stradivarius Strad they retired in 2017
DO NOT SIT IN YOUR SEAT THE WHOLE TIME BECAUSE WHEN YOU STAND YOUR LEGS WILL BE MESSED UP and it might lead to issues with your health.
United serves Stella Artois beer ? 😝
This is definitely the worst beer on this earth. They should serve Becks or Warsteiner. Belgium beer is used in Germany for cleaning cars and trucks ( no joke ).
Lol boeing 767 safety card even tho your in the 787 aircraft
Was hoping someone would notice that lol
@@dmairplane did you fly on Singapore Airlines A350 from SIN-SFO?
Memasuki wilayah Indonesia
With lots o’ Sleeping pills & alcohols 😂😂
Why would anyone want to torture themselves flying United for that long? Should have flown a real airline like Singapore.
Pretty sure you missed a key tip in this whole thing... Take a couple Xanax!
It never hurts to bring chocolate treats for flight staff. It helps with extras!
Was going to! But unfortunately only had a 30 minute connection
