I think that this dessert reflects sorted food quite well.... Barry is the praline, he is sharp, sweet and a bit nutty Jamie is the cookie dough, soft and everybody loves him! Mike is the fudge as he is hot and saucey. And finally ben is the ice cream, as it binds them all together, and it is cold much like ben's soul....
Ice Cream makers can be expensive, but SOOO worth it. Ice Cream tastes sooooo good homemade, and that's how you get it so it doesn't have the gritty texture.
For my chocolate class final, I infused a few tea bags of chai into the cream beforehand and made a chai ice cream to go with sugared walnuts, a mango shooter and spice cake. The Chai ice cream was a hit with the savory guys, one tried to "buy" me to make it for him every night xD
I'd probably have to make double the amount of cookie dough if I want any of it to make it into my ice cream. Cookie dough is my weakness. But you also added praline and chocolate fudge sauce! I love pecan praline ice cream as is but now I have to try it with the cookie dough. Great recipe guys! Now I have to go buy an ice cream machine...
You know how in Willy Wonka Mike Teevee is able to take the chocolate out of a tv screen? I wish I could do that right now with this sundae. You should include that feature in your app :)
Hey...I'm not lacking in the desert department! *said as she makes vanilla ice cream in a ziplock bag.* You guys are the best at making everything look delicious!
A little bit more time cooking and that chocolate fudge turns into our famous Brazilian desert: Brigadeiro!! Sure, you'd still have to roll the balls and cover them with chocolate but it's pretty much just condensed milk, chocolate and butter cooked until it doesn't stick to the pan. At this fudge consistency we often call it "Brigadeiro de colher" (Spoon Brigadeiro) because you eat it just like that with a spoon ;)
I was gonna say that when I read your comment: just make "spoon brigadeiro" and you're gold! And I think brigadeiro takes a loooooooooooooooooot less butter from I've seen in the video... that's how I'd make mine :) from one brazilian to another (I assume) :D
Yeah, I think how much butter or chocolate you put in is like custumer's choice. I don't put so much either. But I've seen people put a lot more. Have you ever tried it with white chocolate? It is much sweeter, obviously, but it tastes amazing as well.
Letícia Pavani Pozenato the costumary (I know I spelled that wrong) is 1tbsp... I mean, that's how I was taught and always see... but yes, I did it!!! SO GOOD. I did tons of gourmet brigadeiro flavours I can hardly tell the best one, but I *think* I'm a sucker for the dulche de leche one (it sounds much sweeter than it really is) and the one made with Callebaut's milk chocolate. Heaven!
Ultimate christmassy ice cream mix thing I have is organic vanilla ice cream with crumbled up ginger bread and nutella, with little pieces of honeycomb, the best!
goal appliances for my kitchen are a stand mixer (luckily already got my Kenwood one), a food processor, a waffle machine and an ice cream maker. this looks so glorious!!
Oh god this looks amazing. You guys can't keep doing this to me. You're throwing me off my diet and now I obviously need to make this bc if I don't I'm sure I'll regret it.
Home made ice cream, hot fudge and praline.. I don't think you can get closer to heaven without dying.. Thanks guys, just wish I had watched this before I went to the grocery store :(
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'll be making my boyfriend some of his favorite ice cream (cookie dough) just as soon as I get my ice cream maker back! Ohhhh, I can't wait~ My god, it looks sooo good- I just know he'll love it :D
HELLOOOOO to you too Ben (and Mike!)! Great recipe...even in this freezing cold weather. Don't know why, but I always crave ice cream in the Winter!! Maybe it harks back to our Hunter Gathering days when sugary berries where scarce during the winter months, so we inevitably crave sugar during the winter months even now. Hey.....my body doesn't know its no longer a Hunter Gatherer.....that's my excuse for eating ice cream on a Winters day and I'm sticking to it, teehee. (Spot who studied Archaeology for her degree, lol). Lee xx
Thanks a lot guys, now I'm craving this super yummy-looking ice cream that I am not allowed to have atm because I'm ill :D. But will definitely try out the recipe as soon as I get better. And my friends will probably love me for it :D
Guys, the hot fudge sauce is the exact same thing as the Brazilian brigadeiro. We just leave it reduce a bit more and roll it in little balls, like truffles.
you got me at "Sundae" recipe, it's around 42-45 f****** ºC here in Brazil. I'd eat anything that's cold! (and now I'll actually watch the video). Oh damn... why don't I have an ice cream machine? =/ Ben, would it be necessary to cover the custard with cling film to not form a crust even if it's going to the freezer? That praline is down to perfection, though I'm not surprised :) You guys did it again, that is epic.
In America the pralines here aren't like that. While yours is more like almond brittle, we have chewy toffeelike pecan pralines! the best place to get em is at a candy store in Savannah, GA
can i suggest a video? maybe a challenge even. like a full course meal with just only 40 quid or even just one meal for 20 quid? being a college student, there's not much to spend on food, let alone a kitchen for it. there's a stove in my dorm but that's as big as a kitchen we get
I have a recipe for peanut butter mug cake! 3 ingredients! All you need is 1 egg, 1/4 cup peanut butter and 1 tsp plain flour! Mix everything and then microwave for 30-60 seconds (you can use NUTELLA or any creamy spread)
I was trying to be good this week. I really tried. And now I'm craving this ... And I don't know how the cup of mint chip ice cream landed in front of me, I swear. Now I feel pressurised into finishing it before its creamy volumptuousness inevitably melts ... Oh well :/
I think that this dessert reflects sorted food quite well....
Barry is the praline, he is sharp, sweet and a bit nutty
Jamie is the cookie dough, soft and everybody loves him!
Mike is the fudge as he is hot and saucey.
And finally ben is the ice cream, as it binds them all together, and it is cold much like ben's soul....
aww
LOL
I died at "cold much like ben's soul"
Redgum Barry? Sharp? Uwotm8...
And Ben is loved by all.
"Ben and Jerry have nothing on Ben and Mike" Wise words
Could not concentrate on the cooking I was too busy looking into mikes eyes so beautiful! He's like a Disney prince!
I think I'm more excited about the egg-less cookie dough than anything... That looks amazing....
Just tried it, tasted like raw flour. -_-
soniakolluru I did not even get the hint of raw flour when I tasted the cookie dough.
I did :(
Also dont lick the spoon when you have finished spreading the caramel... it hurts.
Ouch!
Oh my gosh! It just happened to me last week and it still hurts like hell!
I don't know what made my mouth water more; the recipe or Ben and Mike.
that 'hello' in the beginning is the best part about the video haha. cant stop repeating it!
This... this is a thing of beauty. So many ingredients from scratch, so many tips, such an amazing dessert!
I'm in culinary school, and the other day I made some cinnamon & praline pecan ice cream. It was divine..and the taste reminded me of the holidays 🎅🎄🎁
Ice Cream makers can be expensive, but SOOO worth it. Ice Cream tastes sooooo good homemade, and that's how you get it so it doesn't have the gritty texture.
I'm sooo happy you shared the reason why we don't stir the sugar - I never knew that! Thank yoU!
For my chocolate class final, I infused a few tea bags of chai into the cream beforehand and made a chai ice cream to go with sugared walnuts, a mango shooter and spice cake. The Chai ice cream was a hit with the savory guys, one tried to "buy" me to make it for him every night xD
Haha That's amazing
I had Earl grey and green tea ice cream before but chai ice cream sounds delicious :) I'll try it the next time
How's that chocolate?
I'd probably have to make double the amount of cookie dough if I want any of it to make it into my ice cream. Cookie dough is my weakness. But you also added praline and chocolate fudge sauce! I love pecan praline ice cream as is but now I have to try it with the cookie dough. Great recipe guys! Now I have to go buy an ice cream machine...
Can i just say how much i flipping love that mini blender. Look at it, its so tiny!!!!
Mike making that puppy dog pouty face at the beginning is probably one of the cutest things ever :)
Mike's sad face just makes me want to hug and squish him. Great video guys, that sundae looked delish! :)
You know how in Willy Wonka Mike Teevee is able to take the chocolate out of a tv screen? I wish I could do that right now with this sundae. You should include that feature in your app :)
I have gained 3 kg since I started watching your videos. Cooking is just so fun with you guys!
Mike is so good at doing that face at the beginning.
Hey...I'm not lacking in the desert department! *said as she makes vanilla ice cream in a ziplock bag.* You guys are the best at making everything look delicious!
this recipe seems to have a bit more steps, but just seems so worth it! you've done it again! I'm drooling as I rewatch this!

Bens "ello" in the beginning was adorable
Oh god this looks amazing. You guys can't keep doing this to me. You're throwing me off my diet and now I obviously need to make this bc if I don't I'm sure I'll regret it.
This is the healthiest thing I've ever seen....love it!
i love how ben always compliments the ingredients
I legitimately just got home from working a shift where all I did was make ice cream, and this is what I find in my subscription box.
Home made ice cream, hot fudge and praline.. I don't think you can get closer to heaven without dying.. Thanks guys, just wish I had watched this before I went to the grocery store :(
I think this is the recipe of the year
i appreciate this channel so much 😭 the greatest
I haven't even watched the video but I've been stuck replaying Ben's adorable "hello" at the start of the video ahahah
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'll be making my boyfriend some of his favorite ice cream (cookie dough) just as soon as I get my ice cream maker back! Ohhhh, I can't wait~ My god, it looks sooo good- I just know he'll love it :D
This channel really makes my day!
Finally a cookie dough icecream where the cookie dough doesn't have eggs. Thanks guys! :D
I usually put the seeds in the custard and put the leftover bean in a jar with some white sugar to give a gentle vanilla flavour to the sugar.
Never thought of that 😱
Excellent! You guys make me happy just watching. Thank you from the Demo Dude. That's me, Steve.
I am definitely trying this! Thank you and I love your videos!
Ben, you are a great chef! excellent!!!!
"Ben&Mike" rockssss!!!! :D
That seems like a very easy fudge to make! And I wanna make the cookie dough too!
I made this sundae and omg I'm soooo in love with the cookie dough so delish
How do you lads not weigh 400 pounds each, with all the marvelous food you dish up?!
DrDespicable because if you eat proper serving sizes and don't eat rich sugary foods everyday or all the time, you can maintain proper weight.
"Don't eat too much."
Oh jeez! That's so sweet!
HELLOOOOO to you too Ben (and Mike!)! Great recipe...even in this freezing cold weather. Don't know why, but I always crave ice cream in the Winter!! I know what I'm doing with my summer now, making loads of these!
Aaaaahhhh this is amazing! God bless all of you x
I always wondered about cookie dough in ice cream because of the raw eggs. Good to know.
Probably one of my favorite Sorted quotes ever is not from this video, but it definitely applies. "It's going to rain diabetes." - Mike
Idk what it is, but I definitely prefer their videos in this style!
WOW. Since it is summer where I live, this is perfect!
I know the button says "I like this" but really, I LOVE this!
You Guys are killing me here!!! Ben and Mike's!
i can never watch Sorted videos without going hungry :(
and cookie dough is my favourite from ben jerry!:')
Uhhh, cookie dough!!? This is my life's desire. I could live off of this!
"Ben and Jerry have nothing on Ben and Mike"... omg XD that's amazing lmfao!
If you made the ice cream with Barry it would be Ben & Barry
Heaven on earth!
I hope Ben opens a restaurant soon... I will fly from US to UK to eat EVERYTHING ON THE MENU
Thanks a lot guys, now I'm craving this super yummy-looking ice cream that I am not allowed to have atm because I'm ill :D. But will definitely try out the recipe as soon as I get better. And my friends will probably love me for it :D
Damnnn, now im hungry! Looks delicious!
looks like heaven omg
i winced when i saw how much sweet condensed milk needed to make the fudge...but i am SO gonna make this!!
Best recipe ever! Yum!
Mike looked so excited as Ben was saying the name.
i need this in my life...like right now
Guys, the hot fudge sauce is the exact same thing as the Brazilian brigadeiro. We just leave it reduce a bit more and roll it in little balls, like truffles.
Looks so good! Can't wait to try it!
Hot chocolate please! It would be perfect for the holidays!
ughhhhh this looks so good
Oh my...This is the best ice cream I've ever seen..
Oh. my. gosh. I need this now.
Can you guys try to make jollof rice, it's a traditional west African dish and I'd really love to see your take on it!
mike's face at the beginning of these videos makes me laugh every time. looks like he just got put in timeout
What the what! This looks amazing! :D
I. Need. This. Right. Now.
heaven. thanks, guys
I think I fell in love with an ice cream 😂
thank you . Something to make with my boys..
that hello in the beginning made me laugh haha
Well that was just beautiful
you got me at "Sundae" recipe, it's around 42-45 f****** ºC here in Brazil. I'd eat anything that's cold! (and now I'll actually watch the video).

I usually add a little bit of vinegar or lemon juice to prevent the sugar crystallization when making caramel :D
Why do I watch your videos in the middle of the night..
Here you are making amazing ice cream, and here I am eating plain chocolate chips and peanut butter.
Ben and Mike's ice cream :D
You guys should do a mini series, "Ben and Mike Ice Cream"! I can imagine all sort of creative and fun flavors you'd come up with >>> burgers. heh.
'Tis a beautious sight to behold! It brings a teardrop to my eyeball! (only the right one though, what's up with that?)
pure perfection
*reaches into screen and grabs sundae

heartbreak food...could of done with this last night x
I have got the same ice cream maker! I guess I have got the very best!
could you guys do a frozen yoghurt recipe?
umm just wondering if whipping cream could be used for this recipie?
I was trying to be good this week.
I really tried.
And now I'm craving this ... And I don't know how the cup of mint chip ice cream landed in front of me, I swear. Now I feel pressurised into finishing it before its creamy volumptuousness inevitably melts ... Oh well :/
