Chris Hemsworth brought the performance of Thor to life in the Thormovies and Avengers and he is brilliant ! :) I love the duality between Thor and Loki .
i only knew thor from norse mythology but what marvel did thor movies was awesome, i like them all. i think he is such a cool and badass character. i love his set of powers and how he wields mijomir(mjolnir) how darcy says. i think chris hemsworth is brilliant as thor, he embodies him psychically and mentally. i love his broken relationship/rivalry with loki. he is vital part of the avengers and they are lucky to have him on their side. what intrigues me about thor is that he is a god and he could rule asgard but he chooses to come to earth and fight on the side of the avengers even though he doesnt have to because he is so powerful. i love him in avengers assemble and earth mightiest heroes.
"He is the God of Thunder. Master of the rain and the Lightning and heir to the throne of legendary Asgard." That's my favorite description during the Jake Olson phase.
Technically the movie does show the banishing, the vague Donald Blake part and his return. It just doesn't show Thors confused subconscious and lost memory. The movies do have a good adaptation to history, if the viewer has a keen ear and passion for the comics.
Interesting how different Thor's origin in the movie is from the original comic books. I feel like the Thor we know in the marvel cinematic universe is kind of like Altair from Assassin's Creed, since he starts off being very arrogant over his position as a warrior but then eventually learns to be more responsible and less selfish in order to regain that title.
I'm a huge fan of Thor. Okay, I just started to read comics last year and primarily focus on the Thor franchise (when I first saw the Thor movie) and directly fell in love with the blend of scifi, mythology and super heroes. I read Thor season 1 yesterday which basically tells the same story but I like this updated version rather than this "invaders from Saturn" stuff. It also explains quite well why he went to norway in the first place instead of having "a strange calling".
If you wanna read some great Thor stories check out the Walt Simonson Volumes of The Mighty Thor, they're collected in 5 volumes and contain pretty much all of the best Thor stories ever written
Daiman-Tv (It's Pronounced like Matt "Damon") Yeah, I bought them recently (the updated version with new coloring/shading). I already read the first volume and I have to say. Before reading them I went from "what is this horse-face fighter?" I saw previously in the planet hulk animated movie to "I love you Beta Ray Bill!" after reading his introduction (and maybe shed a little tear after the transfering of the odin curse). Heck, I even went out and bought an overpriced copy of Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter!
Thor created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber & Jack Kirby. Thor’s other identities were created by the following: Thor (Donald Blake) Created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber & Jack Kirby. Thor (Sigurd Jarlson) created by Walt Simonson. Thor (Eric Masterson) created by Tom DeFalco & Ron Frenz. Thor (Jake Olsen) created by Dan Jurgens & John Romita Jnr. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thor_(Marvel_Comics) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderstrike_(Eric_Masterson)
Now make an origin video about Marvel's version of his grandfather, Bor. Ah know he's kinda obscure and underused but his spotlight appearance is my all-time favorite Marvel moment. Every aspect of that issue contributed in one BAD-ASS plot !!
I've been a big fan of the Marvel Comics Thor since I was a kid and I said to myself if they ever make a movie about him I'd be the first one in line to watch it and when it finally happend I felt left down because the MCU version in my opinion is nothing like his comic book version.
I really like this reboot, of course, they should've put the word "Redux" on there, since this is actually a reboot of the original version from way back then.
One of my favorite Marvel superheroes of all time and of comic books in general.I love the run of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who introduced many of his well known villians such as:The Destroyer,The Absorbing Man,Loki,Hela,The Executioner,The Enchantress and others.
Same here, I love Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's version of Thor the best especially Tale of Asgard where Thor fought guys like Ulik the troll, the Destroyer, Karnilla the Norn Queen, Harokin and his Barbarian horde, Fafnir the Dragon, Magnir, Forsung, and Brona the Enchanters, the Enchantress and the Executioner, and last but not least Loki.
For all of you salty bastards complaining about him being a God that orginated in Scandinivia, this character is BASED off him, no one is implying that all that is shown in the comics is what people used to worship before. This is art, this is literature, this is expression, appreciate comics and how amazing they are.
I do like the avengers! But I'm from Denmark, so it is very strange to see Thor in that way XD when you've heard the Nordic mythology most of life and seen films that stick to Nordic mythology
I would love to see a Superhero Origins on Angela: Asgard Assassin. Her unique history alone from Image Comics debuting in Spawn #9. To her becoming property of Marvel Comics and her reintroduction in Guardians of the Galaxy!
THOR MCU SAGA: THOR THE AVENGERS THOR: THE DARK WORLD AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON DOCTOR STRANGE THOR: RAGNAROK AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR AVENGERS: ENDGAME THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER
What if stan lee created female super heroine version of thor and in that female super heroine version of thor name was thoress and that female super heroine thoress had have a nickname for better known as goddess of thunder just like super hero thor was better known as god of thunder and what if in this video had added another video and in that new video there was Super Hero Origins: Thor with Super Heroine Origins: Thoress and here it name of that new video was Super Hero Origins: Thor and Super Heroine Origins: Thoress
The greatest media interpretation of Thor outside of the comic books will always be the Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes version. Avengers EMH also features the greatest media interpretations of Thor, Odin, Heimdall, SIf, Jane Foster, The Warriors Three, Beta Ray Bill, Balder, Amora the Enchantress, Skurge the Executioner, The Wrecking Crew, Ymir & the Frost Giants, Surter, Ulik, Malekith The Accursed, & especially Loki.
He is protecting the earth, which technically his mother weird as it may be. When he isn't on Midgard he is facing Universal threats like Gorr, Galactus,Surtur, Ego etc...
thesatanic6 it sounds like u cant appreciate comic book stories, so your opinion cant really be taken seriously. u must have heart attacks anytime something CRAZY happens in a comicbook. i fear for your health...
jaypeon you people are so simple minded....he merely brought up the fact why thor of all places landed in america. i feel the same way with how many damn super heroes are in newyork or why does captain america lead the avengers when thor is the more suitable leader.. i dont see why this bashing of people came to be.
I never did like Thor all that much. To his credit, he's one hell of a fighter, he was created as opponent for the Hulk for crying out loud but.....well......just look at him! How can anyone take this guys seriously?
Thor struggles to outrun street level characters lol.Thor admitted wolverine was faster than him lmao in combat speed and reflexes lool Thor is a overrated slow bag captain America is more interesting than his op ass.
I don't know Thor nor the avenger, only thru the movies... at the beginning of this video, I didn't make any sence to me then after :"Thor ask Odin for his true identity" all cloud is clear to me now
Fun fact: In the first Thor movie, when they pretend to hide Thor's identity to protect him from SHIELD, they use the alias Donald Blake
Thor has been my favorite since I saw him in the movies, he's so adorable and funny XD
he's been mine since Jorney into mystery #1
Hipster
***** I feel that Hemsworth has been doing a great job playing that role

Wow i thought i was the only one who liked The Jake Olsen Series
My favorite description is The God of Thunder, Son of Odid, Lord of the Living Lightning, and Heir to the Throne of Asgard!
Thor movie of Thor taught us that a good actor can bring comic superhero alive.
Thor is so awesome
Thor,My Third Favorite Avenger,Asgard's God Of Thunder and Midgard's Mighty Avenger.
Thor is my favorite Marvel superhero ever!
i now have newfound love for planet hulk, avengers animated movie and thor the movie
as a kid growing up in norway, listening to the stories about the norse gods were awsome
You guys should do a superhero origins video on all the Robins from Batman
Technically the movie does show the banishing, the vague Donald Blake part and his return. It just doesn't show Thors confused subconscious and lost memory. The movies do have a good adaptation to history, if the viewer has a keen ear and passion for the comics.
My favorite 2nd Marvel character and my favorite Avenger.
"This drink, i like it. ANOTHER!!" Love that quote! XD
The movie tries to appeal to more than one incarnation of THOR, and does a great job...
I'm a huge fan of Thor. when you've heard the Nordic mythology most of life and seen films that stick to Nordic mythology
There was an ultimate miniseries called Ultimate Comics: Thor
I can't see Thor as a superhero because i've learned about him as a god..
Thanks for the origin. Thor is my fav Avenger but I only knew his origins from myth, but now I know his Marvel origin as well.
I want the Hulk in a more smart less destruction, thinking. Knowing who is good.

Super villain origins: Owlman...or superhero origins: Red Robin
"I better search the streets for telltale signs of danger!" said no one ever
I find this offencive. I am Asetrogen, and I don't like people seeing him as a mortal avenger, but rather as a real god of war.

superbad333 It's true, I praise the Nordic mythology, and I find this very offensive.

Can you do origin of big daddy from bioshock or songbird?
I love all the Mario video games.
Just one question: super hero thor? erm.....he's a god....and why is he protecting america?. when he originated in scandinavia?
The Avengers defend Earth, not just America. Most of Age of Ultron takes place in South Africa, South Korea and Sokovia.
cuz the avengers main base of operations isnt in scandinavia?!?! use your brain now...and he's not just protecting america. the avengers are global
He is protecting the earth, which technically his mother weird as it may be.
