Chris Hemsworth brought the performance of Thor to life in the Thormovies and Avengers and he is brilliant ! :) I love the duality between Thor and Loki .

Thor movie of Thor taught us that a good actor can bring comic superhero alive.
i only knew thor from norse mythology but what marvel did thor movies was awesome, i like them all.
i think he is such a cool and badass character. i love his set of powers and how he wields mijomir(mjolnir) how darcy says.
i think chris hemsworth is brilliant as thor, he embodies him psychically and mentally.
i love his broken relationship/rivalry with loki.
he is vital part of the avengers and they are lucky to have him on their side.
what intrigues me about thor is that he is a god and he could rule asgard but he chooses to come to earth and fight on the side of the avengers even though he doesnt have to because he is so powerful.
i love him in avengers assemble and earth mightiest heroes.

I'm a huge fan of Thor. Okay, I just started to read comics last year and primarily focus on the Thor franchise (when I first saw the Thor movie) and directly fell in love with the blend of scifi, mythology and super heroes. I read Thor season 1 yesterday which basically tells the same story but I like this updated version rather than this "invaders from Saturn" stuff. It also explains quite well why he went to norway in the first place instead of having "a strange calling".

If you wanna read some great Thor stories check out the Walt Simonson Volumes of The Mighty Thor, they're collected in 5 volumes and contain pretty much all of the best Thor stories ever written

Yeah, I bought them recently (the updated version with new coloring/shading). I already read the first volume and I have to say. Before reading them I went from "what is this horse-face fighter?" I saw previously in the planet hulk animated movie to "I love you Beta Ray Bill!" after reading his introduction (and maybe shed a little tear after the transfering of the odin curse). Heck, I even went out and bought an overpriced copy of Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter!

The movie tries to appeal to more than one incarnation of THOR, and does a great job...
Technically the movie does show the banishing, the vague Donald Blake part and his return. It just doesn't show Thors confused subconscious and lost memory. The movies do have a good adaptation to history, if the viewer has a keen ear and passion for the comics.

Interesting how different Thor's origin in the movie is from the original comic books. I feel like the Thor we know in the marvel cinematic universe is kind of like Altair from Assassin's Creed, since he starts off being very arrogant over his position as a warrior but then eventually learns to be more responsible and less selfish in order to regain that title.

Now make an origin video about Marvel's version of his grandfather, Bor. Ah know he's kinda obscure and underused but his spotlight appearance is my all-time favorite Marvel moment. Every aspect of that issue contributed in one BAD-ASS plot !!

My favorite 2nd Marvel character and my favorite Avenger.
One of my favorite Marvel superheroes of all time and of comic books in general.I love the run of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who introduced many of his well known villians such as:The Destroyer,The Absorbing Man,Loki,Hela,The Executioner,The Enchantress and others.
Same here, I love Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's version of Thor the best especially Tale of Asgard where Thor fought guys like Ulik the troll, the Destroyer, Karnilla the Norn Queen, Harokin and his Barbarian horde, Fafnir the Dragon, Magnir, Forsung, and Brona the Enchanters, the Enchantress and the Executioner, and last but not least Loki.

I've been a big fan of the Marvel Comics Thor since I was a kid and I said to myself if they ever make a movie about him I'd be the first one in line to watch it and when it finally happend I felt left down because the MCU version in my opinion is nothing like his comic book version.
