- Plumbers plumbing must haves are far and wise....but this is something i think every plumber has....up and down the country who have a plumbing business
We drop in on a bathroom for my good friend Dave Bishop the carpenter....he just needs a little push on with a few bits.
Also we have a few hours to kill so we poop and get rid of some copper pipe

One of my kids just bought a house with a very old f&e system. Got £470 for the scrap, couldn't believe it. Old copper is considerably heavier.
Nice work
Mate I think we're all the same with our lockups/storage! Just never ending ha! Great vid man
Always mate…. It’s the plumbing law 🤣🤣
Absolutely, nice job Dave.
Cheers Pal, all the best.
Cheers pal
I love your lock up vids each January, makes me feel better about the mess I make when leaving bits and bobs in the garage after doing work on my house😂😂.
Doesn't take long😂
Hahahaha love that you love them mate
Pay tax on that 😂 love it 👍
😉😉
Nice work Mark
Thanks 👍
Its funny how people feel the need to justify why they've used plastic on a job 🤣 as long as it's fitted correctly then it will be fine 👌 whatever works under the circumstances. Good work mate
Finally someone who understands 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Nice one Mark
Thanks 👍
Hi Mark, my scrap guess was £255.00 so not the best guess, but a nice bit of holiday spends.
Another great film, the bathroom looked great when finished, a nice job for the press gun there.
Have a great holiday I hope you are going to the sun 🌞, I look forward to the next film, enjoy your time off.
Take care, regards, Chris. 👍👍👍🍻🌞🍺👍👍👍
Nice one mate…. Very close😉😉
I love my foldable bucket. Bathroom looks great 👍
Great ain’t they
Folding bucket is a life saver, use it all the time.
Mega handy ain’t they
great video love the finished bathroom after the looking at the old boards on the wall amazing what lies underneath the new stuff
👍🏼👍🏼
Good price for the scrap beer money for your holiday have a good one
Indeed buddy
Thanks for that, Mark. It's like the Ghost of RUclips Past in your lockup. Is that your old Titan wet vac that used to star in your cistern changing vids before you got the Milwaukee? A couple of hundred for the scrap is a nice little bonus: always hard-earned it feels like a bit of free money. And with a bit of man-maths you can spend it at least three times!
Hahahaha that’s proper funny
The lock up is in the same state as the van 😂😂😂👍👍👍.
Not a bad bit of pocket money for the scrap .👍👍
Oh I know mate…🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
The best part of the job is the scrap runs 😂😂,
👍👍🤜
Too right
Your lock up looks like a my brother-in-laws lock up, he’s a plumber (heating engineer) as well , you must all get taught to stack your garages like that at plumbing school (college) LOL. I have seen him using a small ice-cream tub under pipe work for draining, might treat him to one of those buckets. Great video content again, thank you Mark.
If you have time to keep the lock up/van tidy you're not a very busy plumber.
Hahahah we all have them🤣🤣
Every chaos has its own order.
How true is that. If may look like a mess to you but I know exactly where everything is.@@Modestas_Gardziu
Maaan, I need to find another scrappy, I'd probably get about £80 for that tops 😬
🤣🤣
Was guessing around £180 - nice haul, enough for a Bevvie or two
👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great work guys but I do a lot of maintenance renewing shower vales & unfortunately as they only have small cover plates hard to change without cutting tiles
In this case I make a Corian plate bigger that way easy maintenance fix plate over
Good shout that mate
Great vid, would like more detail if possible (on the techniques). Brill thanks
Thanks buddy
I came across a house which I had to replace all the copper. It all leaked where the pipeslice was used and not reamed out. I learned a valuable lesson from the job 😊
Everyday is a learning day
@@MJTiffPlumbing Appreciate your videos
Nice bit of Spending money for your holiday.
Indeed buddy
That lockup is going to need tidying before 50k subscribers, it's been like that day since day 1 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Would you not use pressfit on the the pipework to and from shower valve ( it’s soldered )?
You can do I guess…. I prefer soldered on this one
Not a bad payout tbf mate, I did mine on the 9th Jan and got £198 for 46kg copper and £90 for 26kg brass
Not bad buddy
Great job Mark. What is tge tool you used for the copper joints?
Thanks mate…. Novapress gun
You need some rapid racking. Got mine second hand, its life changing
Deffo on the hunt for some for the new lockup
Wet vac is my go to. You never know how much water your going to end up with. What’s your opinion on black fittings. Personally they look really ropey after a couple of years especially in hard water areas.
Yep and mine was in the van 🤣🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Whites Coventry, was in there the other day. need a hi viz jacket. the lady behind the gat weighs it up.
Always go there mate
I’m not a fan of burying pipes in walls . Especially horizontally .
I’ve got a similar job coming up , and told my customer , it would be less mess not having to cut channels in the brick work . And easier to fix some battens and board it . Cost around £70 plus half a day .
A nice flat wall to tile on too .
Sometimes it has to be done…. Done right it’s not an issue
Mad quick question, can you run and outdoor tap from a boiler cold water pipe
Yes mate as long as it has DCV fitted
@@MJTiffPlumbing thank you for reply but what is a DVC sorry for then silly question
VAT when you buy it. CGT/Income Tax when you scrap it. Neither are applied to another metal. Coin of the realm.
Said to the missus, "butter's gone up". She said, "you watching shopping channel?"
"Narr, luv. Last Tango in Paris".
So so bad isn’t it
Chards. Blackpool. Not kidding...For a change.@@MJTiffPlumbing
Hi Mark, make sure you have a waste carrier license there about £20. A few people round my way have been caught out recently and it £2K fine.
Scrap price is always better in Jan than Dec as they know all the tradies take the scrap in December for the xmas party.
In recycling officer…. It’s not waste🤣😜😜
@@MJTiffPlumbing very good point
My mate got €10,000 for the copper and brass he collected over a year 😮
Fair play to him
What is the black tape for?
Just as a bit of protection on the pipes
Wonder if 22mm press would tighten ok on old 3/4 pipe. Great vid again
Apparently it does….
Drives me nuts when there is that much debris in between the joists...Tell the 'chippy' or Carpenter wacuum that how can plumbers work in such a messy space? lol
So true
What’s happened to the wet vac mate?
Not seen it for a while.
Oh mate… that’s a whole other video
@@MJTiffPlumbing don’t leave me hangin 🫣 I’m intrigued now.
What’s with tapping the pipes?
What do you mean??
7min 36
Sorry not a plumber, doesn’t seem to be insulation, just curious
How come you didn’t press the pipework on the shower valve mark? No hate just curious 😂
No reason buddy……. Just the way I did it….🙌🏼🙌🏼
@@MJTiffPlumbing I miss it sometimes haha!
🤘😎🤘
Yes mate 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Why do you tape the pipe? probably a stupid question.
Just to protect it a bit👌🏼👌🏼
Surely im not the only plumber to kick the hose pipe when draining down?
🤣🤣🤣
We all look alike whats up with that? 😂
🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼
Obviously I’m in the wrong business, sounds it was blood money then.
🤣🤣🤣
@@MJTiffPlumbing great videos you make = keeping it real and say it as it is = what you see is what you get = wished more would learn from you, take care nice soul.
£180

£150

Can't believe having just been off at Christmas, you're now off again at a busy time of the year, burst pipes etc, always said plumbers overcharged, the other thing was a few weeks back you bought new wheels and winter tires with the pretence you would need them in the winter months,is it cold in Mexico, learnt to do my own plumbing was never going to pay Doctors rates for semi skilled workers, rant over
What a negative comment and very bitter person you are…
All the best for the future…… as you will be removed from the channel….. it’s not for you😉
The truth hurts I guess, don't worry I have unsubscribed
@@geoffwalmsley3066You’ve deeped a complete strangers life within a few videos you’ve been watching LOL damn you must have had a really shat day or something if you’ve learned to do it it doesn’t actually mean you’ve done it by watching a few RUclips videos… eventually you’ll make a mess and you’ll call a real plumber out and you’ll be asked who did this? You’ll be like my uncle from next door because you know the real plumbers laughing in his head at your work… How much a plumber earns or any trade they earn with pure sweat and hard workmanship if you was in the trade you’d understand… If the man wants to go on a holiday let the man go on a holiday how on earth does it concern you or affect your day to day life that you’ve spent a few mins writing a negative comment like as if it’s going to affect his life LOL JOKER!🤡
“Truth hurts I guess”……. What are you even on about…🤣🤣🤣
In life…… don’t be a “Geoff” 🤣🤣
He runs his own business he is entitled to have as much time off when he wants, if anything it shows he's pretty successful. Dont see what business it is of yours.
No one is forced to pay, the price is the price and it's up to customer to accept. Dont think people such as yourself realise all of the costs in the background.
You just sound like a bitter jealous man who has nothing better to do than post a negative comment.
£18,76p
Nearly 🤣

🙌🏼🙌🏼
one minute intros mate, be gone with them
Why’s that???
