@@uhhhh5750 No. Guns are loud and obnoxious when fired. Suppressors are rare enough as it is. Even then, you will still here it. Gunshots are a thundering boom and you will know when you hear one

I was 12 miles from the Heath high school shooting. 3 people died. I was at western Kentucky university when we had an active shooter. This is real. And this is scary. And this is what my life is. Being scared to go to school.
Sadly nobody ever makes it to the fight option if we're being honest.

Then you are very lucky. The moment the shooter shows his/her gun, cops are already on the way. If the police are across the street. The shooter has 5 minutes at most. As long as you’re in a locked room with the lights off and you’re hiding, you should be safe. My school is small af and I have no idea where the nearest police station is

When I was at college, we had to have a mandatory presentation of "Run. Hide. Tell" for a violent person on campus. Anyone in K building was thoroughly screwed as it was the smallest building on campus with only 2 ways in and out of the building: the front door and the back door. Hell, you could fit my class the other smallest class into one room and still have room. But narrow corridors, so you couldn't really flee for your life if you needed to.

Elementary kids be like ( EVERYONE GET UOUR SCISSORS)
The biggest advantage is to practice good situational awareness at all times. Train yourself to look up and scan 360° every few minutes. Know your environment, your surroundings, take note of exits in whatever area you find yourself, learn to look for behaviors that give off signs of danger or aggression, they are there is your trained to see them.
Lastly and this is almost always unpopular, stop allowing politicians to create target rich environments that must depend on outside agency help in order to protect themselves and the people in them. Schools should have the staff trained to carry and use firearms. Plenty of staff members are x military, plenty more are willing to take the training and stay current, why not let them? The average response time for law enforcement is 5 to 7 minutes in the best case and often much longer.
Countries like Israel have had armed teachers since the 70s. They have yet to expierence a single mass shooting in one of their schools. Teachers carry loaded M4 carbines to the playground. They are trained to use them and one thing all these mass shooters have in common, they are all cowards and bullies. Cowards and bullies don't usually attack targets that stand a good chance of fighting back.
mm yeah, let's stop gun violence in schools by giving people *inside* the schools access to guns! genius! now the students don't even need to bring one from home!
SURVIVAL TIP: ANYTHING CAN BE USED AS A WEAPON, I MEAN *ANYTHING* If you spot a wire use it to choke out the terrorist or tie them down well enough. If you near any furniture use it barricades any doors or to break any windows or perhaps using it as a weapon to them. The same goes for clothing/plants/ETC. Those will be useful and used as a weapon. You can always be aware of setting up traps for the shooter if they attempt to gain entry in the location you are hiding in.
*I REALLY HOPE THESE CAN BE VERY USEFUL IN THE FUTURE!! THEY SOUND IMMATURE OR "FUCKING STUPID" BUT THEY ARE A LIFESAVER*

@Buckraft I'm in canada and luckily we have cameras on the front of every door you can't enter If you aren't a parent student or teacher, If you are a student teacher or parents you can't get In If you have a weapon.
3 tips
1. Dont try to be the hero youll only get yourself killed as an easy target.
2.if you hear gunshots or any screaming from multiple people dont hesitate run or hide or be prepared to fight.
3. Dont trust anyone at the door you might hear a friend a classmate or even your family members it might be tough but you cant trust anyone at that moment they couldve been secretly working with the shooter you never know.

We go over this 6 times a month at my school. We're just in middle school. This is hell. At my little brother's school (he's just a little 8 year old) everyone is being told to buy bulletproof backpacks "just in case". A cop explained to me at an assembly that even if I'm being f-ing killed I can't run home. Or call my mom for help. I just LOVE living in America. I'm not even 13 yet. Not even close to adulthood either. I shouldn't feel so scared to go to school!
