My mom god me a needle felt starter kit, we craft every Saturday and she always gets me random new crafts to try, but I have adhd and a hard time focusing on a craft if it’s too intricate. It depends where you live, because some countries import their wool. I would say this will get pricy is you are making large amounts, but small things like this you can easily get it for under $10. I am now planning to sell them in my shop, it will be cheaper because I will get them directly from the supplier here in New Zealand (where most of the wools are from).- Lisa ^_^

I've had a try using a kit and can see now how much denser it needs to be. I 've bought myself some gorgeous yarn fluff (Amazon UK) so now I can have a better attempt. Some of the life-like felted animals on Google are amazing...aspirational definitely!

I can't wait to get the materials and start to make this. Thank you so much for sharing. xx
For anyone who can’t make a good shape you can try to use a tablespoon (circular one) and poke it continually. It’s sort of hard at the start especially if your used to the beginner foam pad (like me) but in the end it gets an overall nice shape!

Now that I see my favorite polymer clay person doing it, I think I'm gonna try it out!!! :) please do more, and if others don't agree, then they wouldn't have to watch it... OMG this mushroom is adorable!!! Thank you for inspiring me not only in clay but in felting too! :D. ^___^

Thanks for a GREAT tut .. I'm finding it very hard to get a firmly felted object .. I mean for just the cap of that using a single needle I would have to work it for an hour for it to be as firm as yours .. maybe more like 45mins .. any tips on using the needle & how to get it firmer please? I will be making one in the next week, if it works out & I post on social M I'll link back to here :)) Thankyou again for your time effort & sharing your talent with the world👍🏼😁

You would need a felting needle to be effective. It has tiny grooves cut in opposite directions along the needle, which pushes and pulls the fibers.

@LolipopRok the little hooks on the needle make the fibers tangle together thus making it stiffer ;)
