Needle felting by Karen from Liongate Farm
Liongate Farm is a 34 acre sheep farm in Southern Oregon that specializes in raising Bluefaced Leicester sheep for the wool that they produce. Karen is the head shepherdess and barn cleaner. Hey Karen; I love your tutorials because you go from start to finish with the entire process. None of the magic is missing. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you friend! 🐑
Beginnings careful about buying wool at places like Walmart. It just doesn’t felt well. Get on line to look up wool and items for felting. Happy Felting!
I was a art major and for some reason never done this so now at 71 years of age felting seems to be my next new creative outlet.
Hi Karen… I had never heard of felting, but I watch Sandi Brock at Sheepishly Me, and she put out some kits… so… of course I jumped right in! However, I couldn’t understand the written directions! Of course I turned to You tube and you were the first channel for felting pumpkins! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Being a Kindergarten teacher for 41 years, I am a very visual and step by step learner. You, my new friend, are a master teacher!!! I can’t wait to get started on my pumpkin kit! Thank you again for taking the time to put out this video to help those of us who are beginners and very felting challenged. You have given me the confidence to jump in and try!!!
You're awesome thank you 😊

Thank you as well 😁
Do I purchase the wools from your Etsy store? I’m not seeing these colors for pumpkins, and I’d so appreciate guidance on how much wool to order? Help!
Super cute! Is wool expensive? Also is there a market for selling these wool creations? I’m wondering what they go for.
Its not very expensive! Yes there is a market for needle felted creations check out my farm store or etsy to get an idea! :)
Thanks! Was just there this morning :) I love this stuff! Thanks for the inspiration.@@LiongateFarm
@@LoveGuruBlaire awesome you’re so welcome. Thanks for watching 😁
How much core wool do I need for the big pumpkin (the green one) and 1 or 2 smaller ones? It's hard to tell how big an ounce of this stuff is. I've only made one little critter, but I think I can manage a pumpkin. I think.
The green pumpkin is about 2 ounces of core wool!
I love them, they are so adorable ❤ What kind of wool do you use for the Colours? I tried using Merino, but mine look so hairy and fuzzy 😂
Oh you literally just told us as I commented that 😂
Thanks for watching!
Feel free to ask anything anytime 🤗
Do you find that these loosely felted pumpkins get pilley? I labored intensely over my first felted pumpkin because I was advised that if it was not felted until hard and smooth that it would not last very long, and that it would get pilley.
