Love this! Will be making some! I learned this trick to make your own curly wool: wet thin strips of wool with hot water, wrap around a stick, steam to set the curls and let dry in the sun or use a blow dryer. This way you can make your curls any color you want.
Have to say your gnomes are the cutest I have seen and the instructions are so very clear and easy to follow! I have a friend I am introducing to needle felting and this will provide a perfect project for us to do! Thank you!
I just took a gnome felting class but completely forgot how to make the hat. There weren’t any step by step instructions so your video is a gnome-saver! Thanks for your time!
I am a new subscriber and just started felting yesterday. I love it and I really love your video! I am getting special finger gloves after I stabbed myself 4x! Woah, that's some pain!🤣
I was scared the whole time seeing your fingers under the needle, without special thimbles, about to prick them. I loved your job but I was so nervous... 😬 💗💗💗💓💓💗💗💓💗💓💗
The cutest gnomes I've seen, the eyes showing make the biggest difference!
I totally agree! I love the eyes/cheeks aspect. It gives them much more personality.
I love your gnomes and you’re an excellent teacher

Amazing tip, Cynthia! I will have to try this. Locks can be hard to source so this is really helpful. Thank you for sharing!

I'm so glad! Thanks for letting me know. :)
Cute! I'm new to needle felting & gnomes are definitely on my list!
You should make one! My #1 fun thing to make. :)
I have used normal knitting wool combed out with a wire brush for beard and hair. It has a crinkle effect if crinkled tops are not available.
Such a good idea! I will share this with future workshop students. Thanks for sharing with me. :)
Great tutorial! Can't wait to try this!
Brilliant..love it..Thank You.I want to make one for my Austrian friend in Vienna❤
Go for it! Let me know how it goes! :)

Such a good tut. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice!
Carinissimi!!! Anche la lana mi piace molto. Se posso chiedere, che lana è?
I used carded sheep's wool. Carded wool bats or roving work best!
Muy lindos ...gracias...Chile
Yay! It makes me so happy to see that this was helpful for you! Would love to see your gnome pics someday. :)
I am thinking about making marionette puppets with a felted head, and I wonder if I could felt onto a styrofoam cone to make it more sturdy??
You definitely could! My only hesitation is that the needle sometimes gets jammed in the styrofoam and breaks. So stab gently!
I was scared the whole time seeing your fingers under the needle, without special thimbles, about to prick them.
I loved your job but I was so nervous... 😬
💗💗💗💓💓💗💗💓💗💓💗
It's not as scary as it looks! Plus I include a band-aid in every kit. :)
Where do I buy all the materials?
How do I purchase your needle holder? Looks comfy!
Hi there, yes it really is the best!
