This is so cute your video is amazing thank you for sharing your skills talent it’s so relaxing watching you work I am going to have to try this one xxx
I have wanted to make one of these for a long time and this was exactly what I needed to know how to start and I love to do all the embellishments. I will make it for my friend coming from England who loves tea cups and the fairies! Thank you so much!
I’ve tried using them but I can’t get a feel for the wool with them on. I’ve just learned to be extra careful over the years. Thankfully I’ve never had a serious injury. 😃
I generally like doing felted landscapes but I made some felted flowers to put in a jam jar and decided to look on RUclips to see if anyone was doing similar and come across this video. I am well impressed and this tutorial has given me so many ideas to try out with my old teacups, noodle bowls and little flower pots. Thanks for this.
I love fairy houses/landscapes. I will definitely try this and, as a complete beginner, I hope to creates something that resembles this wonderful project. I couldn't tell but did you use the same needle for everything or did you different needles for different elements? My supplies should be arriving this week and I can't wait to get started. Thank you for the great video.
I use 3 different needles...triangle gauges 36, 38 and 40. The 36 is a coarse needle and will bring your wool together quickly but will leave a lot of pitting. The 38 gauge (the one l use most) will help you shape everything. And the 40 is very fine and will give you a smooth finish. I also use the 36 to attach parts...it really knots the fibers together. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Thanks for watching and happy felting. 😊
@@TheHobbyBird This is so helpful. I'm writing it all down to for future reference and I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. Thank you so much.
Very easy to follow - thank you and the close up shots were very helpful. Loved the little final touches , really made it - definately will be having a go at this :)
That is ADORABLE I absolutely love it!!! Just found you tonight and I’m enjoying seeing everything you make. Of course I have to subscribe. Great videos!!!
I am located in Norway so I purchase carded wool from a sheep farm on the west coast of Norway. As for my needles…I purchase them from www.heidifeathers.com. I use mostly triangle needles in sizes 36, 38 and 40.
Wow it is really very good I don't know that we can make such a thing with needle felting but I cant make because I an not getting this needle nor the wool in my area.
Curious to know where do you purchase your roving and what type did you use for your cute little project? I'm new to needle felting and am intimidated by purchasing the necessary supplies. I'm not clear on how much roving I should consider purchasing of each color. Would appreciate any tips or suggestions you might have to offer. I'd like to make several (3 or 4) of these little tea cup fairy gardens so it would be great to purchase all the roving in one purchase. Also curious what type of roving you used to stuff the cup - is this a lesser quality roving than the pretty colored roving you use to make the detail pieces? Thanks for sharing!
I purchased all of my wool batts from a wool farm on the west coast of Norway. I buy in bulk, assorted colours in 100 gram bags. I simply purchase more of the colours I use most. Where are you located? Try and see if there are any places where you can buy your wool in bulk online. It is much more cost efficient that way. If you are in Norway, I can send you the link to where I purchase mine. 😊 I use the same quality wool batts for everything. I just chose some I had in large supply.
@@TheHobbyBird Thanks for the helpful information. I'm located in the USA (Virginia). I'll start searching for online providers where I can purchase wool batting. I've started doing some research to learn more about wool batting vs. roving. Sounds like batting is the better way to go for needle felting. My local craft stores only sell roving so I'll likely find the batting online. Thanks again - Looking forward to more of your tutorials in the future.
I’ve been felting for many years now but I also started out by making simple shapes and felting them together. Start simple. 😊 I have lots of tutorials here on RUclips where I felt basic shapes together. Check them out and see if something catches your eye. Best wishes and happy felting 😊
Oh, I cringe when watching you jab that needle into the wool you just hold in your hand! Beginner warning: Use your felting pad for safety reasons. Thanks so much for this video…just adorable.

What kind of cottons did you use?
Nyai Emmy it’s not cotton, it’s wool. 😊

How have you not stabbed your self! I’d this was me, my desk would be covered in blood and Band-Aid packets!
😂😂 years of practice and learning not to stab myself.
A tree that's smaller than a mushroom?? You're being silly.
I think that fairies deserve trees too. 😉
