I think he's fearless to explore new ideas. But our madman Arjun spot-on finding best counter attacks. Enjoyed the game a lot.its a treat to watch all these things happening at the rate of knots on board.
That is absolutely insane! Although Eirigasi won after the queen sacrifice Magnus still manage to get an equal position on the endgame. It is just that the white King literally is a lethal weapon for GMs in the endgames.
After @16:18 I just can't see Magnus obtaining a checkmate any longer. The ability of the queen is a huge threat to Magnus's remaining pieces I really love to see Magnus play this out and prove me wrong as he really is the king of the end game. Sadly, this isn't going to happen.
Yes Magnus tried his best, but a checkmate was not realistic. But the best attitude during the game is to think the checkmate is there, and to play on! 👍
@6:13 would long castle be better than simply moving the rook to d8? Why open the king to an open file? It’s just give white a tempo on checking the king with a rook
Long castles in that position is actually very playable, ...0-0-0 followed by ...Kb8 does work according to the engine, but most human players would dismiss that idea over the board as it doesn't feel right opening up the king like that on the queenside. But yes it is quite a good move and very playable!
Great choice of games. keep selecting these interesting games to cover. No need to cover all the latest games that every other channel is already covering. Even if they are "old", doesn't matter if it's an oldie but a goodie.
I will try to do this in the future, I am always trying to find the right balance of showing lots of moves and ideas, but not too many and keeping the game moving. I'll keep improving!
Hi Mike, just to let you know it's called "Elo" (ee-lo, not ee-el-oh) and it's written "Elo" rather than "ELO". It's a guy's surname, so making all the letters caps isn't necessary.
Maybe because if the white rook takes the pawn, the black pawn can threaten the queen, and when the queen moves to the dark square the black bishop can threaten it, meaning the queen can't defend the rook. White would win 2 pawns and a bishop for the rook though, so it's not so bad.
What do you think of Magnus Carlsen's insane queen sac in this game? Is it any good? And let's go Arjun Erigaisi - he just hit 2800 ELO!!!!!!!!
Blunder🎉
To heck with the best players in the world!

Ur commentary made the game very interesting
Thank you so much! It means a lot to me that people are enjoying the videos!
Not only is that a Queen sacrifice, it is a forced Queen sacrifice. White must take.
Haha literally the only move! 👍
Sounds idiotic but sometimes taking the queen can be detrimental.
😂😂
Bro you're a real commentator 😂 I love these videos.
Thank you! I will keep commentating like this!
No one is talling about Arjun erigaise as heve won

@11:27 queen takes rook qXrc4 , bXqc4, gXnf5 Whats wrong with this line ?
Magnus is tripping bro 😂😂😂
Haha Magnus is inventing new ideas that are so crazy, no body else would even dream of playing them in a serious game 😂
Arjun erigaisi's consecutively winning, no matter who's coming in the way.
Plus that queen sac was stupid
Haha be nice to Magnus and his weird queen sac 😂 but Magnus is a monster!

Superb analysis of the game!
at about 13:35 you say the rook gives himself up, as if there was a better move, if so, why not tell the move?

What was Magnus thinking on that last rook move? Even I spotted take the pawn with the king or move to f5!!
I believe it or not.

I understood it after a translation! Thank you for your comment, and let's go Arjun! 👍
It was just overconfidence that did not work the way intended
Yea sometimes overconfidence can backfire!
Great content , pls if possible don't say playes name so frequently. White and black is better . That's only my opinion.god bless
8:52 ?? Why should magnus sacrifice the rook?
Yeah I think the commentator missed that. I thought the same as you.
