- In this episode, I'm going off the grid to explore an abandoned house decaying in the middle of the woods. This extremely remote abandoned location boats everything from a handmade hot tub to a four story treehouse outfitted with a slide and trampoline. Nearly everything inside this four story off grid house was constructed by a master builder and inventor named Jaimie Mantzel, who vacated the property in 2013 and it has been abandoned ever since.

We’re going WAYYY off grid for this explore! Comment down below your favorite part of the forgotten treehouse, and make sure to check out Jaimie’s documentary in full! Personally, you can’t go wrong with a trampoline :) enjoy and smash that like button please!
@@TheLukeExplores heck yeah brother! Trampolines are the best, be sure to like everyone!!
so much fun bro, thanks for the invite!!!
Thanks for coming man, hope you enjoyed! Let’s get you back on here asap.
You were awesome dude
Ok Luke. I see you. Talk about a different vibe, this was great.
Joey!!! I knew you’d enjoy this one, very different from usual. Mix and matching styles, trying to see what sticks with my audience. Hope you enjoyed, should I post more places like this?
YES! Love this spot!
Enjoy brother! Hope you’ve been well, when we calling?? Definitely a spot you’d personally enjoy Ik that fs.
Always wanted to go here, dope video bro!
Thanks for watching bro, looking forward to our trip in just a few weeks. Glad you enjoyed, definitely need to add this to your list
I had no idea this was even in Vermont. What other crazy things like this are hidden in the woods here? :p
Probably alot lol
Tons of them. I had filmed this spot a few weeks prior but wasn’t happy with the footage. Much, much happier with the footage now. Hope you enjoyed:)
Sweet intro bro...10/10!
I'm glad to see this place is holding up well and I never even knew about the hot tub house...that's insane!!! Then I see the workshop:/
What a weird wacky yet one of kind awesome design...we'll never see anything like it again. From the slide to the trampoline, I'd have been there for hours just having fun as it was intended. Looks like most that visited respected the property which is a rare thing to see these days man.
Keep up the great work bro, looking forward to the next explore!
Trying new things, thanks for the feedback Jeff! I’m pretty happy with the state of this place tbh, locals have done a good job protecting it, however these last few years haven’t been kind to the structure. As amazing as Jaimie is, he probably didn’t build this house with the intention of it lasting 20/30 years. Unfortunately lol. We will most likely not see anything like this until, well someone as crazy and dedicated as Jaimie comes along😂
Thanks for watching and for the comment bro, RUclips do your thing! Back to longer style videos over the next few weeks, with a few bonus explores thrown in! Lots coming on the channel, appreciate you bro.
@@TheLukeExplores Well put and I'm really glad to see that you're trying new things as a lot sticks when you throw it out there!!!
Best video yet!! Love the editing!
Thank you so much, stayed up till 4 am to get this video ready. Such an unorthodox type of abandonment. Thanks for watching :)
Love love this video Luke, one of my favorite locations you've filmed!
Thanks for watching Lex! This is a spot you’d personally love tbh, and one you could pretty easily do. Thanks for the comment I definitely want to do more off grid places!
Wow, Luke! Apparently I never told my wife @ameliadesertsong about this place. I've seen lots of videos about this place on RUclips, as it is well known here in Vermont. I myself have never been here, though I'd be up for going, of course. Another amazing video my friend!
Thanks for the kind words and comment! I’m so glad you enjoyed it, I really wanted to push a longer video out but I thought this was just different. And that’s just what the channel needs right now! Definitely would recommend going here, and if I’m in the area again I would totally take you. Thanks for watching!!!
I hope this video blows up 💯🔥
The history of this place and the guy who built is so fascinating.
Could make a 30 min video on the history alone, hope you enjoyed man! Really neat spot to hang out at, difficult to film but such a fun day.
LET'S GO BROTHER 🔥🏚️🔥
0:34 that intro music goes hard lol
0:54 very true
2:00 bro that's like that house the Teletubbies lived in only smaller!
Or like the samd houses in star wars
2:27 the inside looks cool, i could picture the hot tob still running
5:45 this is my first time hearing about jamie, but i gotta say his work is really nice, and you can tell he was really passionate about everything he made, well except for the bathroom and kitchen placement 😂
6:43 i like how people are respectful of the place, no vandalism, just signatures from visitors
7:23 ouch!! 🤕 I'd probably do the same thing though 😆 lmao
8:18 that trampoline looks so fun!
That place is amazing brother!! Great explore!!
Welcome to the party Tevin!! I’m rly glad you love the intro, I’d love to do more combos like this involving history and suspense and BEAUTY. Man am I loving this new drone too. You should totally check out his documentary, it’s an hour and forty minutes of insightful advice and determination. Absolutely loved it. I’m also glad no one has really destroyed this place but tbh it’s so remote it would really take some effort getting to. Lastly the trampoline was just out of this world, I mean an abandoned trampoline???!
Thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment bro. Have a great weekend and see you so soon!
@@TheLukeExplores heck yeah brother the intro goes hard, and those would be awesome combos!! I'm sure the fans would love it! And that drone is awesome man, absolutely epic, 😎👍 and he seems like a chill dude I'll have to check him out!
And yeah a abandoned trampoline is like striking Gold 🥇 fr
Anytime brother stay safe out there! See you soon!
@@thehauntingofnorthcarolina296 you’re the best man, RUclips do your thing! Let’s make this video go boom!
@@TheLukeExplores yessir brother you're the best bro fr, let's go RUclips!
I thought this was a big channel when I started watching this video. 3 minutes in and I realized you have 2k, which is great, but you deserve 100k! Great work, keep it up!
Welcome to the family! Those are some really kind words, 100k would be a dream. So glad you loved the video, lots, lots more where that came from. Let’s explore!
This was awesome! You're so lucky to be able to go to these places. Thanks for always taking us along.
Didn't get a notice, I think it's just fucking with me now lol. Great new intro too, onwards and upwards!
Thanks for watching! I purposely didn’t send this vid out to subs again because a wider audience probably would enjoy this one. I announced it in the community a day or two before that I would do that so just make sure to check there going forward maybe? Haha it’s all okay, I’m so glad you loved it. Tried some new stuff and combined the old. Back to longer videos now, thanks for the comment and I hope you enjoyed!!
@@TheLukeExplores Oooh, I didn't know you could do that. Can't blame RUclips this time lol.
I normally watch on my Xbox, and it doesn't show me those things. I'd have to be in my phone, which I normally don't do.
I did enjoy it, it was fun!
Luke, you explore the coolest stuff! I love your diversity! Once again, very great job!!!!
Thank you!!! I’m trying lol, I’m glad you love my content :)
That’s a sick explore. A nice fun watch before I go shoot a six hour music event :)
Glad you loved it Derren! Super different style- have a great time today! Thanks for watching!
Hi.what you called a teapot is actually a coffee percolator. Still used today
Thanks for the insight :)
This is Jamies new channel. The guy who originally built this place. www.youtube.com/@JMEMantzel
Plug the man in! I highly recommend everyone checks out some of Jaimie’s work!
Theres videos on YT of Jamie building this. starnge dude but does crazy builds. Hes atill active on YT.
Absolute crazy dude. I’d love to meet him
@@TheLukeExplores he's one of those insane geniuses. His South American place is crazy the work he's put in.
@atw98 have you seen much of it?
@@TheLukeExplores yeah I used to watch his videos all the time. He's been posting since YT started. He's definitely an engineer at heart.
He has cool solar boats hand built, the built a retaining wall around his Island by hand himself to backfill to make it larger. Dug a channel for his boats by hand. He's made a little battery powered bucket earth mover.
He's pretty amazing 🙂
Looksmore like someone left a bunch of junk in the woods....
You could say Jaimie left his life behind as he knew it 😂
Who was this dude ,i mean sounds like another person that could potentially change the world
Guy was insane, check out his documentary/channel it’s really worth a look! I hope you enjoyed
