It is written, let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, and put away all evil speaking,(Eph.4:29-31).

    • @rogerjohnson833
      @rogerjohnson833 Год назад

Before I got saved on New Years day 1991, my mouth was an open grave. When I got saved at a watch night service, I was literally put in a trance for 2 straight days by God.
I had to work the midnight shift at the NYC General Post Office, but I called the job and told them that I would be late, because I was going to a watch service, by a woman at my job who invited me.
When I got to work that night, my coworkers were saying that I looked like I was glowing.
My coworker who invited me to the watch night service, gave me a brand new Schofield Study Bible at the watch night service.
The Holy Spirit supernaturally guided me through the scriptures during those 2 days, and said to me, don't fear anyone, only fear me, for I am the Lord.
I was extremely weak near the end of the 2 days, and I said, Lord give me strength, and immediately I was back in the Spirit.
After that experience, I couldn't put the Bible down. I studied my Bible 5-10 hours daily, for 2 straight years. God told the prophet that raised me, that he put the word in my mouth. Saints today know me for the scriptures.
I have been an endtime watchman since 2008.God gives me visions and dreams.
I have seen heaven twice in visions, the Lord twice in visions, and Yahweh sitting on his throne. I have also seen angels and demons in visions, among many other visions.
I have seen the 4 horsemen of Revelation .
God revealed back in 2009, that Obama is the Islamic antichrist beast.
I am 70 years old, and I have been healed from heart disease, then stomach cancer, then intestinal cancer, then prostrate cancer, then Lumbar stenosis, all without a doctor, because I obey God.
It is written, no good thing would I
withhold from them who walk upright.
It is written, if my word abides in you, and you abide in me, you can ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.
God is faithful, trustworthy, reliable and dependable. He is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. No greater love than this, a man that layeth down his life for his friends.
He's a friend in need, and a friend
      indeed.
I was preaching on a train in NYC, the same week, after I came out of a trance. I had a zeal, but not according to knowledge, and a thug pulled out a gun and was pointing it at me,and he was shaking violently as he stooped down in a crouch while pointing the gun at me. I got on me knees a few feet from the gun and started worshipping the Lord saying, over and over again, Hallelujah,
Hallelujah Jesus is my Lord,Jesus is my Lord. The thug couldn't shoot.
It is written, the angels of the Lord encampeth round them that fear him and delivers them.
I was tested with my life.
When I got back to church, the prophet said to me, the Lord said be led by his Spirit and don't go on your own. I was too young and a new born babe in Christ, but God protected me.

When I first got filled with the Holy Spirit I was so sensitive to spiritual things I could feel them physically. And one of the first things I did was quit cussing. When people would cuss it felt like being in the presence of sin. And when people would say "Oh my Gosh" (but taking the LORD's name in vain instead) it felt like a sledgehammer hitting me in my chest. So the answer is absolutely not. Even if Paul didn't say to the Ephesians not to have course language, the Holy Spirit said it and that's enough for me. Watch what comes out of your mouth there's a lot more spiritually behind it than you realize!

Yes. Agree. I have been doing better. I feel dirty and unclean when I hear and
cuss myself. I had a moment of weakness last weekend under stressful circumstances which led to F bombs spewing from my mouth due to anger. Anger has been my life demise. Actually holding back tears as i write this. I have (2) broken marriages because of this personality flaw. God has never left me thankfully, but I am alone and currently isolated with a broken heart. I am working with a Christian based therapist who is gracefully helping me through my mental health issues. Please my dear brethren. Beware. Thank you!!! I feel like I needed to hear this today. I have used cuss words my whole life. I was surrounded by it. I am still surrounded by it with family members and some friends. I have found that lately, I've been trying to use other words rather than cuss. I have been making an effort to use better words. Sometimes I slip and a cuss word comes out. Especially when I am cut off in a conversation and in the middle of speaking, or when someone tells me that I know nothing about nothing. I know a lot more than I'm given credit for. I've had a rough life, so a lot of what I do is because it was the way I was brought up. I was even a smoker since I was 17. I finally quit in April of 2019. As of late, I have been being mindful of how speak. Plus, I'm reading the Bible for the 5th time in a year, and I think that's been helping me change my speech. I'm going through the Bible so quick because I have it on CD form and it helps me stay in God's word. I appreciate how you put this in a different perspective. I have more work to do to change my habits. God bless you and your family.

So you are listenning to the bible, not reading it, which is fine but an important distinction in your context. I think addressing the root causes would be better for you. There is a deeper problem than cussing if it enrages you to be cut off or told that you know nothing. The opinions of these people don't matter and you should not validate them by getting emotional. And getting mad about being cut off in speech shows that you are very defensive. Humble yourself, you need not concern yourself with these trivial things. Emotionally rise above them and show them that you serve such a high purpose that these trivial things do not phase you. And pray! Always pray and ask for help. Anger and swearing are things I'm dealing with as well so I'm right there with you.

If you personally don't want to do it then that's your choice but its not a universal requirement to being a believer. All you can do is try your best but to treat every single thing as sinful is to live in constant fear and i doubt God wants that. Just try your best, im sure God would appreciate someone who at least tried as opposed to those who were fanatical about it. Hell I dont even traditionally pray. Thanks for taking this topic on. It's too underrated by top many Christians. A gentle way to approach a person with a foul mouth is not with confrontation, but with compassionate attention: Inquire if the person has too much anger in their life. Let them open up. The next might be if they'd like to be free of anger. A general rule I keep is to avoid "potty language." Sure, these words are often used for mocking, but beneath that is anger.

The challenge I have is that some Christians are obsessed with not swearing, yet will condemn others, gossip or lie, freely and thoughtlessly. For me, it's more about the motivation behind the words than the legalistic obsession with not saying a handful of words (which I what I take away from this message).

In my own experience….I notice cussing comes out with three different situations, anger pain and surprise. When any or all of these happen for me its the f word more then any other sometimes the s word happens too.
Its horrible i notice that i will swear more if i am around those that also swear and less around those that dont.
When it slips and it does theres ALWAYS a kid there. 😑😢 its aggravating.
I found out theres generational curses of cussing and spirits that make one swear. Its horrible.
The words we use to swear are actually the names of demons the f and s word seem to be the worst and most common but the other words are also names.
Cussing is a type of demonic tongues. I say this because just like tongues it does not include the mind. It bypasses entirely ur mind and comes straight outta your mouth. Unlike tongues however it does not bless u or those around u it curses.

    1) cursing and using perverse speech are two different things.
    Ex: damn it = cursing
F• Duck it = using perverse speech.
Both are not to be done by Christians.
    The scripture says:
    Thou shall not Curse
let not any perverse speech proceed out of your mouth.
    Another thing, just FYI:
G.D. is not taking the lord's name in vain. It is calling on God to curse something.
Vain means empty or void of meaning. Taking the LORD's name in vain means to go under his name but act like you have never heard of the scriptures and romaine exactly the lost.
