Honestly, I feel like this is one of those series that has grown with it's audience. There are plenty of things to keep the younger audiences entertained but there I defiantly themes in these books that 7 year old me just never caught on to.

The mission was to tell Ashfur that Squirrelflight doesn't like him.
That was it.
The end.
Then Ashfur kills him.

@@giant-enemy-spider uh basically because he was training in the dark forest and died there he kinda just got stuck there. He fought in the great battle against the clans so he was kinda just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's not really a testament to his character being good or bad it's just what happened. If Ivypool had died there while she was still a spy the same would've happened dispite her original intentions.

Wasn’t he an ancient Shadowclan warrior and joined the Dark Forest when he died and trained cats in the Dark Forest instead?
I say Ancient because I think Brokenstar and Tallstar or even Goosefeather weren’t alive when he died

Wow, the" This is love love-" "Shut up!" "This is love." Is just my absolute favorite! Love the expressions on both Squilf and Ashfur, just so great! And the staticy effect is such a cool idea! This arc seems to be going all over the place, I just love it!

from what i gather ashfur can control ghosts and has a ghost army these books are off the walls bonkers
The newest series is amazing and I suggest reading them but basically in this pmv Bristlefrost, Rootspring and Shadowsight enter the dark forest to save Squirrelflight and Bramblestar who are being imprisoned there by Ashfur. Ashfur can control cats who are deceased since he cut off the clans connection with Starclan. So in the pmv Ashfur hold control over both Bramblestar and Willowshine

The plot was great (though the beginning felt a little drawn out to me). The book in general felt kind of boring to me because I have no emotional attachment to the characters, but the animatic is amazing!

Hits hard after her death. Sure she'll somehow possess and become a reincarnation of spotfurs kits or Frostpaw: frostpaw more likely, she's the next protagonist, same pelt color, same eyes, same name 'unique connection with starclan', cmon! They couldn't have made it more obvious.
