- i've been waiting for snowtuft to be a character with a personality for years. FINALLY happened.

I love how their scars/ injures that killed them are just chunks taken out of them instead of scars or forever bleeding wounds.
Yeah I like the idea that the injury that killed them/ injuries they got after death are like that
agreed! It's like they're missing a piece of their soul, because they technically dont have bodies anymore
Yeah! I wanted to play around with that, or just make them like... holes(?) in their body? If that makes sense

im so glad they gave him actual character, and im REALLY happy to have a Dark Forest cat who regrets their actions (or at least understands that they did something to deserve being there) and wants to do something good.

Juniperclaw did too, and because of that, he decided to keep dark forest cats out of starclan, gaining his respect only a little.
I really hope they don't kill Snowtuft off he really deserves to go to starclan for his actions 🥺
EDIT: thank you for all the likes! I'm glad others agree with me! I'd like to think the Erin's have noticed the readers being interested in Snowtuft and deciding to do something with him but idk if that's the case or not 💜
EDIT #2: bold of me to assume the Erin's would do something good and interesting for the plot/story. Past me was so naive 😔
Same!! I think he’d be the first cat (as far as I know) to go to the dark forest originally and then get to go to StarClan. It would be a nice concept that these cats don’t have to suffer for their whole existence if they truly regret what happened. Snowtuft himself seems like his memories of what he did are foggy. I hope he gets to be the first example of a cat getting to go to StarClan after being sent to the dark forest.
@@nathanielmandrake1500 I think he will, and if/when it happens it can establish cats being able to change their final resting place after they die, which would probably result in Ashfur going to cat hell and Snowtuft going to starclan.

I’ve always been bothered how the Dark Forest is just damning cats to hell for eternity- sure, bad cats should 100% go there, and cats like Mapleshade who didn’t regret their actions in life can stay and rot there. But there has to have been cats who have regretted what they did and want to make up for it/seek forgiveness, but they’re left to rot with those who don’t care about their actions. It would really be nice for Snowtuft to be the first cat in all these books to establish that cats shouldn’t be stuck where they’re at. It would be a nice dynamic for cats to be able to change their resting places.

I really like the effects you used for Snowtuft. Given his iconic scar, he truly DOES look undead with so much of him missing. Plus I like the red 'eye' he has. As well, you expression work is really good, lot of wordless scenes are clear through how you depict them.
I haven't read anything past the Last Hope but I am VIBING with the snowtuft content and his character development

I feel like him and Brightflower would be friends. He doesn't even remember what he did but he regrets it, and Brightflower just tried to stand up against Brokenstar (who also ended up there)
After he was given an actual fleshed out character, his death is really tragic
the dark forest designs!!! with the chunks taken out of them and the like smokiness of the pelts and wowowowow its such a cool effect!! really love ashfur's glitch effect too and how you visualized the story (tigerstar 1 vs tigerstar 2, speech bubbles, etc)!!

I wonder if they don’t let him join starclan as he is now or if he dies if he will be reborn? So they can give him a new life to see if he is actually worthy of being in starclan if he can reprove himself in a different life? Maybe have it as a plot line if Bristlefrost and Rootspring have kits (they might since well it’s the Erins) or have it be Twigbranch and Finleap’s kit or possibly be Spotfur and Stemleaf’s kit? Not sure but it would be an interesting concept and we can learn more about him as a different character in the series. Possibly have moments where it’s his view point? So we can figure out what is on his mind and how he feels? Not sure but an idea I thought of.
I just finished the book today and it was really good, I love Snowtuft and I think he deserves to go to StarClan now, no one can change my mind 😌💙

I was such a fan of snowtuft like even before I read up to broken code, mainly because of the scar and how his design looked absolutely SICK, and when I was actually introduced to him in the books I was so happy I love this cat man

i love how it all matches up with the book events, from snowtuft first meeting shadowsight and their interactions + suspicions on ashfur, to meeting rootspring, rescuing bramblestar and squirrelflight, etc etc in correct event order!!
everything matches so well with the song and i personally think you did amazing with nailing the theme.
