  • Welcome, if your new here my name is Faye and me and my wee family live in the very far north of Scotland, we spend our free time exploring and taking family adventures
and for those of you who aren’t new, welcome. back. beautiful people.
Today we are going to take with us on our day here in the Scottish highlands on a stunning dog walk and exploring awe inspiring castle ruins where we unexpectedly weren’t allowed in!
It may not feel very summer like at the moment but no matter the weather we like to get out into nature, take a walk and the breath taking views.
The theory of Blue Space Health talks about the positive effect of being near bodies of water.
    Benefits of Blue Spaces believe to affect us in a few different ways including;
    Stimulates Healing
    Promotes Calmness 🫶
    Promotes Better Sleep 💤
Not to mention the physical affects of being more active while out in the great outdoors exploring those natural blue spaces!
After our glorious dog walk we get ready to head out for the day. First stop is a play park meet with friends before heading off to Castle Sinclair Girnigoe.
Castle Sinclair Girnigoe is actually two castle built at different times.
Castle Grinigoe being the earliest built by William Sinclair, 2nd earl of Caithness, sometime between 1476 and 1479
then the expansion was built in 1606 when castle Sinclair was built. Which was connected to the earlier castle by a drawbridge.
It’s a beautiful ruin with such amazing energy I would highly recommend to visit if your ever in the far north of the Scottish Highlands.
As you can see many parts around the castle are very narrow pathed on the cliff edge so please do take care when visiting
but it really is worth the time to explore around the castle and down by the cove where the water laps up around the rocks and feels so powerful when chippy waters crash against the rocks. There is something so captivating about this place.
Here I am talking about the fact there is a very narrow path along the cliff edge down to this area but the wind has really picked up from the start of the day and you couldn’t here me!
After dinner we all just chilled out for the evening reading, watching and then sleeping!
I take this time to catch up on emails, messages and social media work.
I hope you have enjoyed coming along on a day in the life with us in the far north of Scotland. Please do like and subscribe and hit that notification bell so you don’t miss an upload. And comment down below would you visit this castle?
    Does history excite you too?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section as I love chatting to you all there.

How absolutely stunning is the walk to the water and those castles?! I'll have to catch up on the adventures of you in Spain. In Australia we ate finally getting a winter , it seemed like our hot weather started on the first day of Spring and didn't end until winter began. I can't imagine wearing a long sleeve shirt even at night in summer here. You'll probably smile at our winter temps here Lol. The frosty mornings have finally gotten rid of the grubs on our greens in the garden, so I'm happy . It was lovely to come on an adventure walk with you ❤❤

This is the first video I've watched of yours as I actually found your RUclips channel through Sullivan family Instagram where you posted 👍👍. We are actually from the same part of the country lol, you guys are from outside Wick and I'm in Thurso 👍. Not sure if you know much about what's on but I fully recommend the Wick Gala on Saturday and/or the bonfire Saturday week 👍, both would be good events for vlogs though both could be crowded which, by the sounds of the end of this video, your not so keen on.

We may live closer than you think! 🤣 We travel a lot around the Highlands to visit places. As we love to explore around.
Ah I had heard of the Wick Gala but have never been, we are actually wild camping this weekend so wouldn’t be able to unfortunately, but we may consider it next year. We aren’t a huge fan of crowds but if something is worth going to we still would crossed or not. It’s such a beautiful place here isn’t it? So much beauty to explore. Thank you for watching and welcome to the channel xx
