  • Vanlife adventures in Scotland. This week we're off to the stunning seaside village of St Monan's with its historic harbour, auld kirk and brooding cliff top ruins of Newark Castle.
Oh, and is that an actual windmill we see ?
Yep, it's another one of Scotland's most beautiful villages.
We also find out that people who live in nice houses aren't always too keen on having them photographed. Unless you pay a Guinea
There's history, mud, purple Dr Martens and DeNiro the rescue Greyhound almost zooms straight into a tree.
A huge thank you to everyone who's supported our wee channel so far, if you'd like to help support our adventures you can do it through through our Ko-Fi or Patreon.
If you'd like to buy DeNiro a biscuit (and he's a good boy, honest) you can via our Ko-Fi link at www.ko-fi.com/ScotlandOnAShoes....
If you'd like to become a patron of our wee channel we also have a patreon at / scotlandonashoestring
We also have an Etsy shop where we sell some of our hand made items. It's at dandbbythesea.etsy.com

All our videos are hand made from 100% organic ingredients 😉. Our content is mostly filmed on a GoPro 11 with a Rode fluffy microphone to keep the wind noise down, with occasional bits on an iPhone13. We also use a DJI Mini 3 drone which we're loving getting to grips with.
We make our own music using GarageBand and the videos are edited in iMovie.

What an awesome adventure you shared with us. As usual, breaktaking drone footage! DeNiro wanted to run and scratch his back at the same time. 😊 Thanks for the tour and history on your beautiful country.

Nice Johnny Cash reference on the disused railway walk - thank you for another lovely visit to Fife!

Zoom zoom zoom goes the greyhound. And, wow, does he ever blend in to the long grasses! DeNiro could be a potentially very stealth greyhound. :) A lovely village, harbour and church/graveyard. Interesting that someone is resurrecting the making of sea salts there again.

Another wonderful episode where you never fail to disappoint. I have never seen the headstones in such back condition . As you said due to the salt. Just a quick tip , I have watched other folks touring graveyards and cemeteries and they find if you shine a torch or light of some sort sideways on the lettering of the stones they are more legible. The salt refining place is very interesting. It would be nice to see one of the buildings be reproduced as a museum .
