Love that the flop shot to 3ft is in the outtakes portion at the end…”I can get over that quickly” is exactly how I feel when a club looks or feels odd but keeps showing me it’s here to play. Great video, guys

Just wish these wedge fittings were more widely available... Still a case of the best guess for most amateurs - Still cant usually test wedges at all

i was once told by a scratch golfer years ago that you get fitted for clubs the same way you test a ball...... from the green backwards and since then thats how i do it, 1.putter, 2.wedges, 3. irons and so on. great vid guys as allways, counting down till the new pod season #lglg

WHAT?! I've been listening to the podcast and was flabbergasted and almost teared up at the end of season 1 when it was revealed to me that there was a season 2! I am now on season 3 but JUST DISCOVERED TODAY that this RUclips channel exists. Gosh I feel like such a nerd. So excited to watch the videos you guys have posted thus far. And looks like a lot more activity in recent months which is incredibly exciting!

    Honestly hour.
I’ve been toying with the idea of a wedge fitting for a bit. Love my SM8s that I bought a year and a half ago and really didn’t feel the need to switch.
Watched this video this morning, 4 hours later, booked in with my Titleist rep that fit my irons, driver and 3w. See you next Friday, C’Mon Phil!

Chasing Scratch has been awesome to follow over the last number of years. I identify so much with the golf struggles you have both shared on the podcast but, I feel like the wedge/shortgame area is where I have learned the most from listening. I have been making similar changes to you both on wedge play and noticed some gapping issues and bounce problems with my current wedges because of that. A fitting would be a god send. I would love to see some of that new groove sauce that was displayed in the video, making me jealous!

LGLG, it is indeed incredible what new grooves and correct bounce and grind can do to performance. Play SM8s after almost 8 years without new wedges, difference was immediate. Cant wait to see what SM9s can do....

SM9 has a Higher Center of Gravity than SM8, this is to LOWER the Launch Angle and INCREASE the Spin of the Same Wedge in SM8 compared to the SM9.

Funny enough, I'm backwards on fit priority: I'm a Putter, Wedge, Irons / Hybrid, Woods person. Lots of strokes go down the drain around the green. Importance-wise, I truly believe putters & wedges should be super high priority, as that's where the majority of shots are taken from & putters are hugely undervalued on fit; I gamed a 2-ball putter for years & just got fit on Quintic & realized I aim way right with it + the swingweight was too light. Found a perfect putter & now I'm putting better than ever & that's the most strokes with a single club anyways. I can say the same for getting proper grinds & bounce for wedges, especially if you're in conditions that dictate more/less bounce OR swing tendancies work against the bounce you play.

I got fit for new Vokey sm8's that felt great in September. Fast forward the release of the sm9's and i still hadn't received my wedges. I canceled my order and pre-ordered the sm9's instead. Now Titleist is telling me I'll have them May.... maybe I shoulda just settled for Callaway Jaws. Excellent product but the current backlog boggles my mind.

Been using the SM 6 for a while and recently got fitted with SM9, 48/52/58 degree wedges.Even though i had just had 2 rounds with these new wedges, they are absolutely fantastic. I am able to pitch/chip my shots much more accurately. It's only going to get better as i get use to the distance and feel of these wedges. These wedges are going to lower my score. Never thought that wedge fitting would benefit my game so much. Thanks Andrew Rogers from Titleist Singapore for the fantastic fitting session.

got fitted for wedges in the back yard of my old high school during COVID when everything was closed and worked well for a while (friend is incredible with fittings and a certified club fitter)...a year later i went to get fitted with use of a trackman and got fitted again (semi-properly lol) and got SM8s and they are incredible. I will refuse fittings if its not on a trackman, but after seeing this, I might have to book a fitting with Titleist so I can get fitted like this with different lies and around the green. Can't wait for season 5! #LGLG

Absolutely shocking that Eli was fit into a 58* 12 D grind as a "sweeper" of the golf ball, because Vokey says himself on the Titleist website that the D Grind is for steeper attack angles and the M is the equivalent, but for shallow sweepers. So this is an odd setup. Pretty crazy.

My mate and I have always created fictional battles and the mutual battlegrounds were always ‘a degree of mud/water’ that makes it the most fair for the competitors. For example: 8 spider monkeys vs 1 warthog in an 85% mud to water ratio pit. Who wins?
Another example would be: Clive Owen and Steffi Graf vs a 5 piranhas in 97% water that’s 4 foot deep
However, I would love to sincerely test out a new battle. One which would be a personal battle I could legitimately test: a used titleist AVX ball vs me with a vokey SM9 60 degree wedge in 98% mud to water ratio from 60 meters.
    Love your work.
