BRING IT ON YOU TETRIS GOD DEMON!
    Should I explain Tetris...
    eh screw it.
    Tetris A (00:21)
Aiming for the score of 999999 that's basically it.
    Tetris B (15:52)
"Large Coffee Vomit" was the choice BlueMaxima.
Originally it was "large chunky bucket of coffee vomit"
Only realised that I could only 3 line it.
BlueMax told me "Chunky Coffee Vomit"... but I already did Large Coffee so it was late.
    Any-ways enjoy this Longplay. -

@iLoveJackingOn depends on the competition. Obviously some use the NES version, but a lot of competitions dislike it because it's not equally random. You could get really lucky and get a good order of pieces. The modern tetris games use a random piece generator that is always fair to all competitors and you'll always get every single piece before you get a repeat. So the competitions based on those are fair to all competitors. You can never know if someone is truly the best tetris player in the world when they may have only won because of lucky RNG.

    • @Xenophilius
      @Xenophilius 3 года назад +3

@@duffman18 But the Classic Tetris World Championship, based on the NES version, plays with hacked cartridges that give both players the same piece sequences in the head-to-head, so that's not as much of an issue.

Only the B-type game is technically "winnable". The A-type game was originally believed to be nearly unplayable at level 19(!) speeds when Tetris first came out. That's why the game maintains this speed clear through level 28. Thor Aackerlund was possibly the first to reach level 30, according to his testimony based on his expertise in easily winning the 1990 NES Championship by excelling at Tetris (whose points were the most valuable of the selection of games you were tasked with completing). Now, we have a rapidly growing list of pros who have reached level 30 (and even beyond!).

Technically I never tout that this game is a hardware pusher, yes it is, as soon you put those sprite blocks down, the mmc1 chip inside this game will then quickly swaps that sprite block with a tile background version of it because the nes is not capable to view a wall of sprites on screen so the mmc1 has to do this to get around this limitation,
    it’s a pretty clever technic.

I thought of this while facing the prospect of fitting all the Thanksgiving leftovers and holiday groceries in the fridge, freezer and pantry in the coming days and weeks.

NES Tetris fun fact: If you alphabetize the tetrominos, it spells I J L O S T Z which I code as "I Just Lostz" The z doesn't really affect anything though.

Damn! 389 Lines! I couldn't even hit 200. You sir are a pro. In fact, you're so good that you actually glitched the Level number.

francis t lopaz I’m sorry to break it to you but he used a Tool Assisted Speedrun Bot (known as TASbot). He basically cheated and didn’t announce it. It perfectly fine to use TASbot because it’s very cool. But not informing others is the really dirty part of this vid

Yup. looks like this is a tool assisted run. Could tell from when it hit lvl 19, only explanation would be the player is a hyper tapper ( and a master at it) but the fact it was still going extremely consistent after 29 (most peoples kill screen) just screams tas.

This is why I'll never understand recent news reports of some kid "completing Tetris for the first time ever".
LOL. By what metric? Causing the game to crash?

Yeah, It isn't Korobeiniki but still a Russian song? And it's also more of a "falling" theme which fits it.

Unreal lol. I played this when i was 13 and the highest i got was 213. I thought that was pretty good. How in the F@%& did you get so many damn lines. Not even gonna ask if you have any friends lol cause i know the amount of endless hours of practice to accomplish this. Job well done.

I... I can't even get pass 80 lines without completely losing the game in the most horrific way possible. Seeing the game go that fast around 150+ lines and beyond just completely blows my mind... and here I thought I was good at games.@_@

I suppose they're using save states and maybe slowdown options at en emulator, as well as some recording tool that replaces the already recorded game with the new gameplay they do after they go back to a save. AND that records the slowed down parts as if they were aying at normal speed.
Can anyone inform me if my suppositions are right?
