Especially like the Gothic Florin and the Standing Brittania designs. You're right about the weight and feel of the larger coins. Really felt like you had value in your pockets (and holes from carrying too many coins 😃😃)
If you want to hear a really neat sound. Take a half crown/crown coin, and flip it with your thumb. The ringing it makes due to the silver content is cool👍
Beautiful selection of coins. Historical and silver - hard to fault. Keep on accumulating real money like this over your lifetime and you will do your future self a real favor. Fun times.
Lovely video! The early 20th century silver coins are great with exceptional designs. I had a pile stacked that I got for face value as my wife worked in a bank and was trained to look out for them. I sold them a few years ago to buy some numismatic coins. Great to hear your enthusiasm.
greetings from Macedonia! You have a lovely collection. I myself have some old british coins from William III quite rare stuff! By the way silver is at 0.8£/gram. Another reason to buy silver coins :)
I thought the 1935 florin was in fantastic condition so would say that’s my favourite but you had I really good bundle there👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 l totally agree about silver circulated coins compared to bullion, there’s just something more special about them👍
Collecting fractional silver coins is not a bad addiction to have. My girlfriend started an argument with me about my investments trying to tell me that its a foolish way to spend my money. So I told her it could be worse, I could be addicted to crack instead? We broke up, and now ive been buying, selling & trading coins on ebay making myself a nice little earner alongside my full time job, I buy low and sell high and my stack is slowly growing and its actually earning me money rather than costing as I spend all my profits on more stock. Sold £200 on ebay this week alone, £75 for a 1835 1 1/2 penny that only cost me £35 to buy, 1oz of pre 20s for £49.95, 10 x pre20s thrupenny bits for £30 and a silver proof old round £1 for £23. All that money is going back into buying more silver, my stack is growing virtually for free!
@@BitsAndBobsCoins I would reccomend you guys to start doing the same, the 3 of you could really run a little business together and if you all put your profits into more silver your stack will grow for free. Who can say no to free silver!
@@BitsAndBobsCoins The challenge is to find high grades of these (UK 1920 onwards) because they were intensively used and lost their details. I have few high grades though among my UK collection
You're passion is infectious. Its like a younger me, you are pretty much melting down over those coins. A beautiful thing as most people your age only care about stupid video games and cell phones. You got some good deals too, those 10/- bundles contain 0.909 oz of real silver which is about £22 worth of silver at these prices, so not only beautiful, but you are buying under melt. Then again you may have ordered them when silver was $27 an oz and now its $33. Like me, you need to hoard some silver, so you can just play with it, run your fingers through it and do a Uncle Scrooge like thang. As its all common in average condition, theres no danger over damaging it.
Keep stacking them . I got offer 1.5kg of post 1920 . Turned them down . Make sure they are pre 1920.925. All debased clad coins are crap foisted on the people. Check some of the modern bullion collectables,
Personally, I like the Florins the best. Love the design, and really like the bigger coins as they feel so cool in the hand!

Yes 1930 is a slightly scarcer year for half crowns. Not super rare but a nice one is about £20 compared to about £5 for most 50% silver half crowns
Yes 💯
Always good to get

Great video ❤
Thanks for the visit
Glad you enjoyed
Most of them are after 1920, so the majority are silver grade 500, which is often bought at spot
Yes lots of deals out there 😁

I thought l was one of the few! I enjoy the shillings and aim for pre 1920 with Victoria's young and old heads
Yes sterling is even better
