TRIVIA: Don Mancini was rushed by the studio fora a sequel so this was released only 9 months after Child's Play 2. Alex Vincent wasn't old enough but this is the only film where Andy is a different actor. All other appearances, including the Chucky TV series, is Alex Vincent.

This was the first movie where they used computers to move Chucky around, that’s why he’s moving around so much more. Also I love that they kept Andy's courage an ongoing thing. He ALWAYS stands up to Chucky.

Alex Vincent plays Andy in Child's Play 1 and 2, Cult of Chucky and the TV show. The reason he didn't play Andy in 3 is because there is a time jump between 2 and 3, so Alex would have been too young. Despite being made in 1991, Child's Play 3 was set in 1997, a couple of months before the events of Bride of Chucky.

I’m living for these Chucky reactions. As a kid I was deathly afraid of chucky. My older brother would use the doll to scare the shit out of me all the time. I still hate my brother but I love chucky.
Never saw child's play 3. Watching this, I forgot how there was an era of movies set in military schools. Most likely from the success of Full Metal.

Interesting to note: There’s an extended scene. Right after the garbage man is killed and Andy starts suspecting Chucky is here, it then cuts to the next scene of Andy in the classroom distracted. The female teacher takes notice of it and realizes he’s not paying attention. Fortunately, she sympathizes with Andy understanding everyone was shook up about the traumatic incident that morning, but encourages him to focus.
I liked that scene. Because personally, it proves not all the staff and teachers at Kent Military Academy are mean spirited.

I felt really good watching this because, as an AVID fan of Child's Play 3, it breaks my heart hearing people constantly hate on this movie. And even with the inevitable critiscizms of every movie, I love that you save them (or most of them) until the end, letting the movie run it's course before judging it "harshly". Great reaction, I can't wait until Bride of Chucky!

He talked to her on the phone I think in one of the seasons of Chucky and she was doing well.The Cop who was in the first one said he wouldn't mind coming back to the franchise so I think he'll be in the new Childs Play movie when they develop it.They need to bring back Tyler too and leave this silly Chucky series behind
After getting over my fears of chucky, i went on to watch the rest of the movies and this was very tamed in my opinion of the scare factor and gore of the chucky movies
Fun facts:
• The first film in the series that Chucky in doll form uses a gun as a weapon & the only Child's Play film where no females die, all the victims are males.
• Don Mancini initially wanted to introduce the concept of "multiple Chuckys" in the movie but due to budget constraints, the idea was eventually scrapped. Mancini later used this concept 26 years later for Cult of Chucky.
• The box office disappointment of this movie (it made only $20.5 million on a $13 million budget) is the reason why there was not another Chucky movie for seven years, until Bride of Chucky.
• The movie was actually filmed at "Kemper Military School and Junior College" in Boonville, Missouri. The movie called the school "Kent". The school is now closed down.
• The final film in the series to include the lore that Chucky must transfer his soul into the first person he revealed his true identity to, and within a limited timeframe before he's stuck in the body forever. Bride of Chucky retcons this lore, and introduces the Heart of the Damballa amulet that Charles apparently always had, and was buried with his corpse. With the amulet, he can possess any human host he wants.
• Jonathan Brandis was considered for the role of Andy Barclay.
• The last film in the series to use "Child's Play" in its title, until the release of the reboot Child's Play in 2019.
• The story of this film takes place eight years following the events of Child's Play 2 (1990) but was released only nine months after that film. Additionally, the story of this film takes place only one month before the events of the next film Bride of Chucky (1998), but that film was released seven years after this film.
• Chucky always loses his right hand before he dies - in Child's Play (1988), Andy's mom shoots it off. In Child's Play 2 (1990), Chucky tears it off to escape from a bar. In this movie, Andy cuts it off with a knife.

I legit think that Andy's roommate was in shock, and not that he failed to stand up for Andy. And because what he saw affected him so much, he jumped on that grenade to save everybody. apparently, the writer of the first 2 movies was forced to write this one, and apparently there was supposed to be an army of chuckies (hence his blood dripping into the vat) however because of budget restrictions they couldn't do it, also at this point in time, slasher movies were beginning to die out, so that's why there was an abrupt ending, they just wanted to get it over with.
however, due to the popularity of scream, the late 90's saw a resurgence of slasher movies (Bride Of Chucky, Halloween 6 and H20, etc.)
Bride Of Chucky(1998) is where the series becomes a little more humorous.

I grew up with this film and it happens to be in my top three Chucky films, along with the first and second. While it does have issues, I love the look of Chucky in this one and it pushed the rating in Australia (M before the MA rating took precedence for the next few films) the climax at the Haunted Mansion ride is *Chef's Kiss*
After this movie is when the franchise turns it up to 11 and gets absolutely Insane

I think the reason they never actually blame Andy for the murders is because he always has people back him up and so since all the other witnesses are backing Andy up and they have no actual evidence that Andy did anything they always let him go , law enforcement 100 percent believes Andy is responsible but they can’t ever hold or convict him
