Many thanks to Kyle and Bendu! 🌗 Wild to fathom that a quarter of a century has elapsed since I was in Boston to help a college friend edit some videos they shot in Japan... and to see their touring Broadway performance as 'Mary Sunshine' in CHICAGO: THE MUSICAL. Before one of the performances, we walked in the rain to see THE PHANTOM MENACE. 🤯 Additional thanks for relaying details of your Park Forces 2024 excursion. 🔸 Your 'Jabba' popcorn bucket is a treasure!!! 🔸 I hope you'll love STAR WARS CELEBRATION: JAPAN next year. I've never been there, but I did spend three weeks in Thailand back in 2001. It took 22 hours to fly there, so I'm guessing you'll have a similar length journey.

Greetings Kyle and Bendu, plz forgive my, perhaps, lenghtly introduction, i will be 50 july 2nd, so i am a original original star wars fan, but my lord, you guys really know your shit, and have learned so much from both of you, lore wise, super detail wise, like easter eggs, stuff from books, that i never got into, and my super appreciation and respect sharing all your content, so much fun and sincere. I have a truck load of compliments still but i assume most already know what they are or could be hahaha..........on a funny, totally coincident, and true note: My first name is Sky, My son is named Luca, so as Sky(walker) i can really say "Luc, i am your father!", to make it even funnier, is my brother in law, named his daughter, "Leia", and was totally random and not intended to be a "star wars" thing hahaha........anyway you guys have been really importamt for me in dark times, that brought the jedi "light" back in my life! may the force be strong and with you, forever! much love

I was 24 when Menace came out, I had seen Empire and Jedi at the Cinema and was in love with Starwars, i was 3 yers old when i was Brought to see A New Hope with my Brother and sister but i can only remember The Millennium Falcon for some reason as i was too young.I had taken the day off work and had a ticket for the first show at 12.P.M.The Excitement was unreal, I remember watching The Crawl and my Excitement began to dwindle, Thinking back now no movie could possibly live up to the hype this movie had gotten, Im 50 now and I've grown to love the prequels, Time is the Great Healer😊
    A fan From Ireland 🇮🇪 .

I specifically remember an article in 1999 when Jake Lloyd said kids at his school called him "Star Wars boy." It was either in Entertainment Weekly or Newsweek; at the time, I was trying to avoid all the information about the movie.
I was on message boards and forums in 1999 and the chatter and bashing was heavy.
Interestingly, Jar Jar's Tone Poem was similar to the others in that the characters were not all being represented as they were in the movie. His voice was different. Maul's voice wasn't used. Anakin said things he didn't say. It was all so well marketed.
My favorite prequel marketing was the way Lucasfilm teased and promoted Episode 2 leading up to it. I tried to resist but spoiled myself of most of it which made those three years feel so unbearably long. I don't ever want to anticipate a movie like that again.

Yo, a several thousand year old HK-47 with most of his paint chipped, battle-scarred would be SICK, but you know, fever dream level hope.

Haha, love that you remember those Godzilla cup holders. As a kid just getting my license when that movie came out, driving in '85 Caprice with no cup holders, those were the only ones big enough to hold a big gulp or a slurpee. I ended up buying a lot of a dozen on eBay, had one on every door.

Gentlemen, I suspect that George wanted Jar Jar’s voice and personality to be a surprise to movie audiences. And that’s why a narrator was used for his TV spot.
