Agree on the vape comparison. The tail switch just looks like an afterthought. some interesting ideas in here. Like the sliding selector. Overall though, way too complicated for my use. Only thing missing here is the kitchen sink.
Hello again, Doc Thank you for another Great Video 👍 My favorite two questions, for flashlights. 1) How long does the batteries when in use. 2) How long does it take to charge? Again thank you 😊
Just curious how durable does the sliding switch feel? Also the latch for the battery is kind of a concern, do you also feel that it wouldn't accidentally catch on anything?
Has quite a few features that EDC-grade flashlights have been missing for many years, and also some features that are likely to sink it. Hopefully they won't give up on the good ones and carry them into more reasonable models. Specifically having a different switch for setting brightness, and a lock. Also too many brands nowadays have been going into irreplaceable batteries which is a shame as that's the component that has the worst EOL so it's good to see they're bringing those back. Also it's interesting that they're going for different emitters as part of the brightness scrolling, I imagine it also allows for better PWM. And there's definitely a lack in ability to change from spot to flood in EDC lights
Me too. I think their lights are very good. I have different ones for different uses. X1, X0, X3, bought 2x X2Pro on KS. I also have an L1 in the car and a B2 on my bike. Really good lights. 😊
I have the much smaller wuben x-o, and it's just too heavy for what it is. I have full size aluminum body 18650 angle head flashlights that are lighter than the little wuben x-o. Feels very solidly built (except for the tape holding the magnet in), but i have much smaller, lighter edc lights that do just as much if not more for much less weight.
The software zoom and the swappable batteries are really neat. One improvement might be to split the battery cover, so the batteries can be swapped individually while keeping the light on. Othervise, it's pretty neat.
Love your channel! However, this model….. come on man….! Next thing they make is a “Bic lighter flame” that shoots out of the side.. Wuben = over complicating flashlights vs similar other flashlights available for sale. What do you do w/this flashlight when the dial and the “slide” tab takes a dump from use, along w/ tail button &/or when you loose it? Not to mention, the charging port w/no seal to keep the moisture / water out? These flashlights are made for dudes that $ burning a hole in their pocket & didn’t learn after their 1st purchase of the Wuben? (I have 2 older series that have a glitch & sit in my junk drawer to this day.
Deep carry is crucial for regular stowage of a flashlight. This newest model is the shallowest carry of the lot! =( Why hasn't anyone come out with a vertically sliding belt/pocket clip that locks into different positions, accommodating deep carry for regular stowage, and shallower carry to accommodate the benefits of 90° swivel heads?
That x2 pro looks exactly like a vape. You could actually dub over this video saying and describing it as such and I wouldn't doubt it IS a vape!
I like the multi color strobe light. I think they need to protect the USB port. Thanks Doc
It has a rubber cover on mine, no strobe on mine though
This will be such a great torch.

It's just a prototype at the moment

Does it have a glass lens and, Is the charging port internally waterproof like the X2?
Your model only has constant red right?
No constant green?
It's good for flowering tents, it doesn't mess with the cycle. Gardeners would love this!
How did you get yours 2 months ago? I pledged yesterday.
What do you think, black color or white?
Have you had any durability issues with the MAO white finish? I like the looks of it but have heard it scratches easily.

Pls send link to buy..
cool, do you have a preferred head lamp?
I thought that was a vape with a built-in flashlight at first, which I would definitely buy if Olight made one. :P
Olight’s version wouldn’t have hotswap batteries though. Hence why I backed. Tired of having electronics with slowly dying batteries sealed in.
@@club2772 What are hotswap batteries? Backed what? Your reply to my comment doesn't make any sense. Are you a bot?
I have the larger 12,000 lumen light from them and like it a lot.

Can you make the led just a continuous different color rather than a strobe?

I love the X2 but hate the flappy switch.
I don't like the tail switch!! Its out of place!! Hope there is both options as i backed this is Kickstarter.
I can't find on Wuben website ??
If u pledge this on kickstarter
Does it means ur buying this product when it comes in production??
??
depends on the pledge you take but I would assume the pledge also covers the cost of the unit.
Love the mechanical switches... would certainly lose that tail switch.
Sofirn IR23/24
More led more short it light I think 🤔
I ordered one, but it is so different from the X2 it should just have a different name. It's a weird one!

Does it have uv light?
That option will be available when the production starts.

I have many olight but at work, x2 and x3 are the only i use.

get a damn pouch, put a belt through it and put a normal sized flashlight in there
@@votpavel I've tried running a belt pouch before, but didn't like care for it at all. If it can't pocket, better in a sling-bag.
Surefire makes the best light, it's called the stiletto...The best light you will ever carry and need..check it out
Wuben make probably the ugliest lights around, styling is gross.
All of those LED's and lenses and no UV? Seems like an oversight.
X2 Pro has the UV version.
