@@lookasetbella Korea as colonial is really fun, especially moving the capital to Alaska or whatever so you can eat all of the New World. The biggest frustration is that it takes so long to get colonial range
@@lookasetbella its pretty powerful because you can harmonize Pagans and so all the Americas' religions automatically become yours. No rebellions and the monuments are all usable except the Mayan ones
1:18 As a Korean, I can say that it's not because of historical reasons, it's because the regions have mountains which is hard for people to administer. (or frequent border raids by nomads)
Korea is my most played nation. Probably the easiest nation to play tall and pacifist. One fun thing is to max the defenses in the north and stack fort modifiers (i.e innovative, defensive instrastructure, religious ideas), due to all the modifiers, the terrain, tech advantage and development its easy to completely destroy Ming with attrition there even if they outnumber you 5 to 1.
Korea is incredibly fun to play tall or wide. Just a GOATed country with some insane playability and mana generation. I usually prefer to maintain the balance of power during the literati events.
Quick question about it. Mandate of Heaven missions used to give -10% dev cost when Vajranaya becomes harmonized with one of its mission, i've recently done a run with ming but couldn't see that modifier, did it get changed?
Underrated is Australia with Korean culture. You get all the same shit korea gets except better dev cost modifiers in national ideas. I have been thinking what nation is best to culture switch to korean to to get their governament. Honestly however cursed... it may be japan as Japan gets a permanent dev cost reduction on their island and it's not hard to do.
I'm doing my best as Korea, but I feel like I .ay have screwed myself... I followed this guide to 1474 and have taken a tiny handful of provinces from the Manchus to my direct north, but now my allies hate me and have all banded together. If I try to push on into the second lot, I'm going to get mobbed. I can't wait it out either as I have a claim expiring soon. Add to that I'm struggling with money despite building markets and temples in my best provinces and I've not been able to embrace the renaissance yet...
It's weird. Korea has a lot of points that it can spend on the development of provinces for the first 25 years. This makes it virtually invincible to the Hordes. The Bot does not often use the Horde's advantages and lags behind in technology.
@@lookasetbella I took a chance in the north and somehow managed to win without a single land battle and only a couple of naval skirmishes where my heavy ships utterly dominated! I've embraced the renaissance and am waiting for the mingsplosion, but I don't know how I'm supposed to upgrade my provinces, core my conquests, advance my ideas AND stay ahead on technology all at once! I don't have Leviathan so I can't improve infrastructure to keep costs down, so I guess I just have to upgrade my advisors and sacrifice my treasury?
17:34 wait wat u can still get the Emperor of China mission tree 😮 I thought only horde and Chinese warlords can have it now ( or maybe am play Mahayana Dai Viet as the EoC and so they don’t give me the mission tree🤔🤔)

I actually checked it on the console. Dia Veit doesn't get the Emperor of China mission for some reason. Just like several other nations from this region. There is no mention of such an exception on the EU4 Wiki, or I can't find it in an obvious place.@@dassgaming8502
I'm sure I didn't uncheck political stance in the Korean government myself. Every 20 years I was informed that I could choose political stance and I was given a penalty for corruption.
Wait… am i going insane? I swear i’ve seen this video on another language let me see my watch history omg Do u have 2 chanels? Another named lukashowtowipe?
Inno ideas as Korea? you’re already going to hit your cap for advisor discount, you’re already going to be at max innovativeness super quick, you’re already going to have max prestige, youre already going to be spreading institutions super fast. Innovative ideas are a complete waste as Korea
@@lookasetbella You start with a stronger economy, Ming loves you, and you can quickly dominate the hordes to the north. Then just culture shift to form Manchu and get their mission tree, and take on Ming
@@Zackary1005 No it doesn't. Most people who play "wide" also only focus on developing their home country, like in real life basically. Yes, playing tall can still mean conquering provinces, best example would be a "tall" Italy, but you're meant to just confine your borders within a specific geographical area. There is no specific number of provinces or what kind of provinces can be conquered for a "tall" playthrough, but whatever was done in the video was *clearly* not it.

I love the absurdity of modifiers, excel guys are very happy in min-maxing.
I’ve had games were Korea somehow became a gp without even expanding a single province lol. Korea is actually insane lol
