Very cool to see you play our mod! Up until now our focus has been on mapwork and mechanics, and are only beginning to truly get into content production. Fun to see some crazy scenarios nonetheless! Development is more numerous, but less impactful, and diseases, which will act as a limiting factor, have yet to be fully implemented. Colonization really only got serious in the 1600s, and is thus more harshly limited early. It is unfortunate that performance is what it is. I honestly would buy an expansion that was just an engine update for EU4 in a heartbeat. We'll probably convert the mod over to EU5 when it releases, which I'm expecting in 2026. So perhaps check back with us in a year when we've had time to add much more content and tune up the mechanics a bit more, or we're all playing in a superior EU5 game engine. Thanks for reviewing the mod!
Hey cheers! I have been working on my own big mod for a little over a year now so I totally understand your frustrations with the limitations of the EU4 engine. I wish you all the success either way, dope project!
This mod gives Aragon Kongdom a Coastline in tortosa? Pretty weird, it has allways been landloked. The constitution of the Kingdom of Valencia Stablishes the boarder with catalonia in the Senia River, South of Tortosa.
I'm a little concerned by how much depth EU4 players are willing to go to completely brick the computers of fellow masochists still running Windows XP in 2024.
So don't run Windows XP when connecting to the internet, you'll get calls from some random Slav or Chinese bloke demanding Bitcoin for your computer's access.
The funny thing is that if EU4 had actual multithreading like CK3 this would run pretty good. All these provinces wouldn't be an issue if the game used more than a single core for all processes.
Sadly, EU5 will still feature a completely unified Castile, instead of showing the personal union it had with León and the "vassal kingdoms" of Toledo, Murcia and the others in Andalusia.
To be fair MEIOU only bloats the HRE and leaves the rest of the world with about as many tags as EU4... The abysmal performance of the mod is better exemplified by the game freezing 1-2 minutes every 1st of January for the economy calculations
the thing is, no war should end with the full occupation of a country, eu4's warscore system is terrible bro, 99 out of 100 times in history wars never end with the full occupation of a nation

If not for EU4 using an engine that remembers fall of the stalingrad and used multithreding like civilised companies did back in the days it was relased there would be no problem with performance even with 10x the number of provinces, 1 CPU core is screaming and on fire while 31 others are colder than finnish summer.
@@Chewbert I was also 100% ready to be included into game engine 11 years ago. If paradox gonna cut thier game to little pieces and sell it over 11 years at a total price of a bloody car they may at least put this much of effort into making it run well for those 11 years.
My PC is not a potato, but this mod is totally unplayable for me. It is damage, because it give more mechanics to improve the gameplay of this crazy game!

Awesome mod, but it's unpolished as of the moment. I hope to see it shine in the futureAlso there's a province in Sinai that's unowned in the Multiplayer start I've complained about it for a year AHHHHHHHHHHH
@@ChewbertDont get me wrong, its big, just not as what the mod represents, the EU4 map uses a projection system thats very weird and that makes Greenland look smaller, but I think this map uses mercator which makes things farther from the Equator look bigger, as such indeed Greenland is smaller than what the map represents, not small in general.
There's speculation that the announced Project Ceasar is EU5, just under a codename. So if that is true, than EU5 has already been announced, albeit not as EU5.
Gave this a try as ottomans. Pretty fun but a bit too laggy, and the separatism was insane, my orthodox provinces were basically constantly in revolt even with Dhimmi rights and tolerance

Windows XP too OP
This mod is just babysteps, it has far to go before its close to "Meiou & Taxes" in terms of map, depth and mechanics.
So don't run Windows XP when connecting to the internet, you'll get calls from some random Slav or Chinese bloke demanding Bitcoin for your computer's access.
You should write "willing to go to, to completely brick" not "willing to go to completely brick" you are missing one "to"

I have found you discord homie.
The funny thing is that if EU4 had actual multithreading like CK3 this would run pretty good. All these provinces wouldn't be an issue if the game used more than a single core for all processes.
It would certainly help!
it uses at most 30% of my CPU :
Wait, it's using A SINGLE core??? No wonder it's slow
thats just EU5 pre release
Sadly, EU5 will still feature a completely unified Castile, instead of showing the personal union it had with León and the "vassal kingdoms" of Toledo, Murcia and the others in Andalusia.

@Chewbert why didn't u buy the 7800x3d? It's an absolute beast for these types of games
Yeah you would need the best single-threading cpu on the market which is not much better than this video
Ulus of ulug means ulug people. However, you can call it equivalent of either "nation" or "nationality" based on the use. It has nothing with horde.

Just a little comment for Mrs Algo Rhythm. I also really like mods like this one and Voltaire's Nightmare where the map is very detailed and in depth
