  • These have to be the nicest home gym option out there (in this price range!) That being said, there are some points that kind of bother me and wish were fixed...

    Would you get these for your home gym?

    • @gymreviewer
      @gymreviewer  2 года назад

      @Sole Hacks Yeah but a piece of me cries every time I hear another PowerBlock being dropped in between sets… kind of like hearing cutlery scratched on porcelain plates - painful. 😭

      I’m contemplating on purchasing rheee vs. UMAX. How have the Rep Futness dumbbells kept up since you purchased them?

    • @Chris_from_Detroit

      @@irenerubio4938which one did you end up going with? Umax is very amazing and has a 6yr warranty against literally any issues, but comes with the obvious premium price

    These remind me of the weights used in my old commercial gym. One day I will have to get a pair

      Definitely! The only difference is you don’t need to share them with other members ;)

    I wish these weren't so expensive. They look so cool. :(

    • @gymreviewer
      @gymreviewer  Год назад +1

      Agreed, even as a relatively budget-urethane option they still come in on the high end! I’d recommend looking into some adjustable dumbbells if you are looking for a better bang-for-your-buck for a home gym

    I’m thinking about either getting the Rep urethane dumbbells or the Pepin Fast dumbbells. How are the Rep dumbbells holding up? I want something that is going to last

    • @gymreviewer
      @gymreviewer  Год назад

      Hey Branden, thanks for checking in! The Rep Dumbbells are holding up great- only real downside is the amount of space they take up! If the Pepin Dumbbells where designed with an even better weight-change mechanism I would jump on them for a smaller home gym. If space is no factor, I’d go with the Rep Urethane Dumbbells all day 😁

    Thoughts on these vs. rubber hex head DB's from Rep Fitness?

    • @gymreviewer
      @gymreviewer  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the question! These are shorter in length than the hex head DB’s. That’s one main reason why I prefer them! Besides that, the structural integrity is superior and the shape is more functional, in my opinion.

    • @gymreviewer
      @gymreviewer  2 года назад +1

      That being said, the hex head DB’s are a much better budget friendly option!

    Do you think the sets(5-50 or 5-75) are still a good deal at the current price point?

    • @gymreviewer
      @gymreviewer  2 года назад

      Great question! I literally just ordered my second set of 5-50lb Rep Urethane DB’s about an hour ago! I’d say they are a good deal if you want urethane coated dumbbells.
      They certainly aren’t the cheapest dumbbells on the market, but I think the are the best value for price out of all the high end/ commercial style dumbbells. Let me know if this helps :)

    • @gymreviewer
      @gymreviewer  2 года назад

      Fun fact, it looks like ordering pairs on Rep’s site (5-50lb) is actually about $150 cheaper than buying the set due to their Black Friday deals!

    Way too expensive you should get urethane for 2 bucks per pound !

    • @gymreviewer
      @gymreviewer  2 года назад +2

      Which brand and set are you recommending? If I’m not mistaken, I think these initially came out to something like $2.50/ lb.
      If the quality is there, I’m all for saving money!

      I would buy from Ziva for urethane.ATX used to sell for the same price they are more expensive now. They are basically the same, for example ive seen dumbbells and plates looking exactly the same, companies just buy it raw and put their logos. My ATX urethane plates are everywhere now ,USA included
      just with a diferent logo.They all come from China !
