Or it may end up in a non nuclear ballistic missile exchange, which will fuck up both of our economies, and will no doubt kill a good chunk of our populations.
Realistically, a US attack on that airbase would be preceded by Tomahawks to confuse the Chinese on the ground, and take out most of the above ground structures including fuel dumps.
Or just bombard it with a few Destroyers. It’s cheaper than using JDAMs, AGMs, etc. Plus, with the Destroyers you can have some other Ships loaded with Marines, to make an Amphibious Landing much faster, without worrying about letting the Aircraft land, Refuel, and/or Rearm.
Be honestly, the first wave of attack should start with JASSM and AGM 88C from long range, now it performance like WWII campain. There are lot of scenarios about US Navy fleet attack island in China South sea at CMO, check it if you like to.

US carriers need to operate out of DF-21 strike zone... so inorder for F-18 to strike SCS... fuel-refilling plane need to fly as well and help to refill F-18 at least once.. S-400 sam has a radar range of at least 400km... there is no way US is able to carry out a surprised attack.

Video is choppy in many places. Attack and defense are completely unrealistic. Any island airbase is going to have frigates patrolling around with good radar for detecting aircraft and ships. AA defense will also have radar for 200-500 miles out, depending on their tech level. No pilot in their right mind is just going to do a fly over the island before assaulting it. No proper military base is going to be caught that much off guard. Oh wait. There was pearl harbor. lol! But we were not at war, nor were we expecting one. Chinese get harrassed all the time by US and other nations and tensions are not the best. I'll still give you an A for effort. lool! Godspeed!

They would have been detected hundreds of miles out and the Chinese planes would already be up in the air for intercept not scrambling to respond as they launched the attack. The Chinese uses at least a two phase radar set up. One based in the mainland and one with the mobile units set up on the islands they are reclaiming. @David Lumpkin It's already unrealistic they didn't get intercepted before they arrived. So don't even bother about suppressing AA.
Good graphics for a game. But in real scenario US will not going to attack this way. If you follow their attack pattern......Neutralizing Air defense is first priority..then comes airfield destroy/damage...then only attack plane will come this much closer. But again saying,,, good graphics...very minute details has been shown here. Facial expressions of the Chinese soldiers for example...and two fox running for shelter @7:12.. amazing.

That carrier is a U S carrier thus would never be without the protective task force that always goes with it for layered defense. Which means an aegis equipped ship would have sent a cruise missile or two low flying to impact the largest building or two on that island.
normally a base like that would be hit with a massive barrage of tomahawks. No air force is stupid enough to launch an aerial attack on heavily defended bases without first destroying SAMs and radar stations. Then send in F-35s escorted with F-18 E/F/G to hit the other installations that the tomahawks were not able to take out. Then you send in a ground assault team with cobras providing close air support. I LOL-ed when I saw A-10s. Since when does the navy use A-10s hahaha.
Most of the Filipino people were sad about West Philippine sea. Kalayaan Group of Island or Spratly Island is under Philippines EEZ, 200 nautical miles. Filipino fishermens fishing boat will get destroyed if they got close to the island.
