    3:24 Thanks for this but the blur (DOF) looks grainy. How can u smooth that so it looks like a normal cam blur, without the grain?

    ?why is the images that are out of focus so grainy
    ...in a normal camera they will just be blur

    • @MStudioItaly
      @MStudioItaly  9 лет назад

      +matan oron You are absolutely right. But this is a physically accurate depth of field (blur) and is very hard for Cinema to Calculate. If you want to improve its quality you need to increase the number of samples in the render settings. Another option is to render a multipass layer with the DEPTH value and use a plugin for After Effects called frischluft (www.frischluft.com) to add depth of field in post ;)

    • @matanoron
      @matanoron 9 лет назад

      ho ok i see, thank you! how do i increase the number of samples in the render settings.?

    • @MStudioItaly
      @MStudioItaly  9 лет назад +2

      +matan oron If you are using my ADVANCED preset from Tool Box, go to the render settings, click PHYSICAL on the left, increase SAMPLING SUBDIVISION from 2 to 4 or higher to get a much cleaner result. Render time will drastically increase.
      If you are using your own settings, a quick solution is, in the same Physical panel, to set the samples to FIXED and the SAMPLING QUALITY to HIGH ;)
