2024 Packwood NT SCCA National Tour Autocross Fox Ford Mustang CAMT solo racing Foxbody Fordstrokers

2024 Packwood SCCA National Tour. Day 1 was pretty hot, mid 90's. Day 2 a little cooler high 80's.
Competition was intense and exhilarating; had the privilege of running against a former SS National Champ with a well-prepped car. Was able to keep up with him each day for the 1st two runs (we were within a tenth of each other), then 3rd runs mistakes were made due to lack of discipline at corner entry, ultimately leaving me behind.
Day 1- video of 2nd run, 47.294 sec. On 3rd run (not shown) I nearly lost it at final sweeper - got too greedy and tried not braking at entry and the rear slid out, and was .5 sec slower.
Day 2- video shows 3rd run (beginning at 01:03), 47.918 sec; braked too late, missed the entry, and scrubbed the sweeper wide at 01:32 (hear the tires squealing), resulting in no improvement from the prior run (47.911 sec). How many tenths did that cost? Hmmmm.... Braking early is definitely better than braking late!
Wound up 2nd place in CAM-T and overall 30th PAX (of 257) which is top 12%; pretty good, but there's room for improvement, especially in relation to corner entry. I will be focusing on this for sure.
Also with the dual Contour fans, the motor did not overheat in this hot weather!
