Came here to post this. The continued spotlighting and support of the musicians is incredible. I love how much he supported Jon Batiste until his blossoming career took him elsewhere, and now we have musical prodigy Louis Cato doing an incredible job as bandleader of some amazing musicians. Getting your solo stuff plugged on national TV when you're working your butt off as a touring musician must be an amazing feeling.

Personally, I can't stand the intros. I think they're the most stale of all the segments. I make an effort to skip them every time.

he is the Sherpa guide. aka they guided people up 30 times.
at 30 times, it's certainly something that person does for a living. they have long adapted to it. once you get use to something, repeating it isn't a big deal, rather just a time sink.
it's still crazy considering the danger involved though.
