Thanks Leech for introducing me to my first review or Heavy’s. I own a pair of AirPod Max. The sound quality the clarity of highs and lows are fantastic in the ANC is second to none that I’ve experienced. I listen to a lot of EDM. I want more bass. I still wanna hear the mids and highs, but I need a different pair for more bass. It just seems that the crushers provide that. I was very impressed with the Heavy’s breath of sound. I would love to see a comparison of the Heavy’s to the Sony ULT 900’s and here are your opinions of the comparison.
Thanks for the spot on comparison. I bought the Crusher ANC 2 for the subwoofer sensation in my head, long story short for the FUN. TBH it may looks gimmicky but the personal sound test really helps a lot balancing the high and mid. My optimum setting is 60% Volume and 50% Crusher.
I'm a little surprised that the H1H sounds fine in terms of tuning, but one reviewer has shown that using the wired connection turns off the internal EQ which makes it not sound good at all (with it turned off with only wired audio playing), so all of the tuning has been done with DSP only, I imagine the crushers are the same like most wireless headphones anyway. I still would rather have the crushers simply for the short term fun factor, and still have the other headphones that I have since they sound good enough for all genres of music. As of right now, my wireless headphones are the NAD Viso HP70. They have very good tuning, a little sharp in the lower treble though. They perform well overall, ANC is poorly done unfortunately. Otherwise, I use my wired open-back headphones for when I don't need something wireless.
that's how i look at it too, different headphones for your variety of enjoyment. When i want some fun sub rattle, i use the crusher evos, midbass i use the crusher anc2, for neutral sounds, wide soundstage there are headphones that provide that. With an amp/dac, the skullcandy bass headphones are on another level.
Let me tell you something I have been a skull candy fan since they first came out, and they always had great bass. The Heavys is just in a league of their own they could improve on some things, but do not ever doubt the heavys they are something out of this world.
I am currently listening on some crusher evo's. I have owned the original crusher anc (went through 3 pair...all broke...bass just stopped working).Went to the crusher evo but missed the anc. Bought the anc2's when they came out. Very disappointed. The anc does something weird like it tries to cancel the haptic bass. Returned them. I am looking for more volume overall. More mids and highs. The evo has good bass but the mids and highs are lacking. If you were to buy a set of wireless Bluetooth headphones with the best bass and great sound as well...and loud...really loud with anc...what would you buy? Would like to keep it under 500 bucks.
