Hey man, Whats the point of a crusher review and comparison when you literally cover zero aspects about the bass. Literally could have touched on the differences in bass depth, bass quantity, bass bleed into midrange etc...
I like to say thank you for comparing the cup size and mentioning the clamping force. I initially return the crusher evo for those two reason. A lot of reviewer just don't think of the little detail.
The haptic bass on the original ANC’s are far superior than the ANC2’s. They kick harder, sound cleaner and balanced. I was very disappointed with the ANC2’s. The audio bleed is absolutely horrendous too. Everyone in the room can hear the music even at low levels. The originals had almost no bleed at full volume and bass. Like others have mentioned, the only reason to upgrade to the ANC2’s is if you have the original crushers. If you have a set of Evos or the original ANC, keep them. Trust me, I spent hours doing a side by side comparison with each headset bluetoothed to different phones. Played several songs across multiple genres. It wasn’t even close. As of today, the best haptic bass headphones that you can “feel” in the Skullcandy line-up are the original ANC’s. Save your money and pick-up a refurbished or nearly new set on eBay for under $100.
I agree with you. You can't compare ANC2 with ANC1. ANC 1 is way superior still. Waiting for ANC 3 if there will be a new product. 3 years and still like new, using them everyday. Can't go out without them. I'm obssesed over the bass :D
i used the og wireless crushers for 2 years until the plastic holding the headphones together broke and upgraded to the crusher anc 2s and i love them. thanks for this video.
He knows the Evos are the best. But he has to sell the newness of the anc2. It has all the features he hates(like spin wheel bass and cloth headband) but he has to sell the newness for the algorithm.
Evo's are the best. When 10 different people that don't know each other tell you the same one ia the bwst you should believe them. ANC2's soynd terrible with the ANC on. I think it is because thwy have like 4 miceiphonea in the jeadset and the anc is fighting against itself. It needs a redesign or maybe a firmware update to fix that problem.
If your saying the crusher wireless don't compare to the anc 2 then im sold! Had my crusher wireless for many years and loved every minute but killed them in a rain storm yesterday. I was ready to replace them like for like, looks like it's time for an upgrade instead
I've owned both the crusher wireless and crusher anc. I don't own the ANC 2 but the first Crusher ANCs are so much better than the wireless that it's not even close. WAY better sound and bass. Definitely get the ANC (or ANC 2)
@@nit0134 i got the anc2 soon after seeing this, could see the difference straight away and quite like the eq app, very happy customer! Only thing I noticed is the battery life seemed way batter on the og crusher wireless but that may be because I use the anc and voice control as well, it's still plenty battery with the anc2.
I have a question, I got a new crusher evo this year, the 2nd pair after my old evo degrading, the new crusher this year all use new packaging and the new firmware is 2.2.0 it seems they dropped the AAC codec on android, only the SBC codec is present even in developer mode, fyi my old evo's latest firmware is 2.1.1, this new firmware is like a different unit than the old one, anyone experience this?
Let me give you my review of the Crusher ANC 2: The music sounds too bright for my ears, I had to bring the mids and highs down, the original Crusher ANC had a better balanced sound. Skullcandy ruined my favorite feature, the Ambient mode, in the originals the ambient was the most natural I ever heard, in the ANC 2 is really really soft. I will be keeping them because they are cool but if you are still rocking the original ANC or the Evo, don't get this unless you are a Skullcandy fan like me.
I have no clue where you're hearing the ANC 2s as 'too bright' when the treble is more laid back compared to the Evo (Never had an ANC 1, so I can't comment much on that). I find my Evos to be more harsh in the treble range, and it even has more noticeable distortion in that range when the volume is turned up. The ANC 2s are technically the louder out of the two, but the treble is FAR less sibilant compared to the Evos and you hear more of everything else in the music because of it. I will agree with you on the fact that the ambient mode isn't very good though.
I have both the Crusher Evo and the ANC 2, and I strongly disagree that the ANC 2 is louder than the Evos. Also on some songs, the Bass on the ANC 2 is trash compared to the EVOs, especially with ANC on. Listen to "Unavailable by Davido" and turn the crusher all the way up, you would hear something, a big problem the EVOs never had. when it comes to just the "crusher" aspect of the headphones, the Evos are better than the ANC 2.
My Crushers ANC 1's finally gave up on me. They make loud popping sound when I turn them on or charge them. I can literally see the drivers are moving so I know something isn't functioning properly. Hope the ANC 2's are as good as the ones when it comes to bass

Hey, I had the same issue. You fix it by holding the pause and volume up button at the same time for about 5 seconds. It's an issue caused by using a non-skullcandy charger. That fix has always worked for me though.

I've got Sennheiser Momentum 4s, Anker Souncore Q35s, Beats Studio 3, JBL Tune 660NC and Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2s are by far my favorite. They are my favorite because they are so fun. They aren't the most accurate, but they are really fun. If I'm feeling like I need to hear music as close to how it's SUPPOSED to be, I'll use the Sennheisers. If I want to FEEL the music, the Skullcandy Crushers are it.
@@kelleraltidor4097 I'm not sure if your post is stating that I don't own the other headsets, but if that's the case you couldn't be more wrong. However, where you are correct is that with time, the gimmick the Crusher ANC 2 has worn off. That doesn't mean I don't dig them from time to time, but the more I listen to my other sets, including a couple of others I recently bought, I've learned to appreciate them more. However, ever so often, that bass engine still puts a smile on my face when in the right mood.
Does anyone know why my crusher evos doesn't support Bluetooth AAC codec, I'm using LG V60 phone with Amazon music unlimited app, my phone only shows SBC on developer settings.
I had the second gen of the crushers, they were actually "Skullcrushers" with a foldable headband, non removable cable and the battery was in middle section of the cable in a little controller for the bass intensity, no hard case, just a black fabric cloth bag with the logo of the brand, I also had the first gen of the crushers with the removable cable and the battery in one of the headphones cup, was really sad running out of battery in the way to school
I had the OGs, the ones Skullcandy Sued Monster over for stealing the tech to put in the Beats. They had better style even if they were not as good sounding. I loved all the funky patterns and colors
Been following the crushers line since it’s first model ANC2 is becoming top one on my list although I dislike how easily the black gets a oily sheen from simple handling
Id had beats sonys sennheiser. Next month im getting the anc 2 hope its what ive been looking for in a headphone... but my least favorite have always been the sonys. The sennheiser were good but not loud enough. Currently rocking beats but lately the sound quality doesnt feel right but at first i felt them louder then my last pair
Yes...in my opinion the evo is the best. Just returned the anc 2's bwcause the evo's sound better. Not as loud...but better. The bass in the anc2's is muddy and distorted when the anc is on.
Can anyone confirm for me if the new Crusher ANC 2 bass drivers drop as low as the 360 did? Because I've owned both the original Crusher Wireless and the 360 and the Crusher Wireless bass drivers didn't really drop below like 45hz but the 360 litearlly dropped down as low as like 20hz and I'm basically wondering if the ANC 2 can also drop that low?
The anc 2 is my first pair of crushers. That being said these go lower than my bludio r legend and it's very impressive. On paper it does say 20 high to 20 low.
@@keithcannon3682 The Evos do not sound better lmao. The mids are weaker and the treble is too harsh and grainy. Both problems were fixed on the ANC 2.
Nice! Xmas is comming, kids want headphones lol I've had an old pair of crushers for like 6, or 8, or 10 yrs now. Well worn out, needs new pads again, and one side is held together with popsicle sticks n electrical tape 😂😂 (you can barely tell actually 😆) At any rate, its time for new ones, and I was trying to figure whats the difference between em all!!! (And when it takes 8hrs to mow my lawn, a good loud set of headphones are vital for tunes n audiobooks!) Thanks for the review!
Does anyone notice the bass decreasing when you turn your head left side? It's there but not direct until you look forward. New cans. A bit like standing to a side of a subwoofer rather than in front of it. Anybody else get this? I still say my sony xb 500 was a good match to these headphones. Tighter bass and punch.
I have owned all 3 of the crushers. The crusher anc was the first (black and tan). I am a basshead and the first time I put them on I was thrilled. I listened to them pretty much daily. I do remodels for a living (tile work too) and used them while working. The bass stopped working in around 9 months. I took them back and got a new pair. Those too went bad in around 9 months. At that point there were no more crusher anc's available so I got some crusher evo's. I have used those for over a year and they are developing a ceackle in the mid/hi drivers. I should not the anc was not that impressive in the crusher anc's so I wasn't that bummed about not having iy in the evo's. Build quality if the evo's seemed better too. Sooo...I ordered the new cusher anc 2's. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was when I first put them on. They sounded terrible. Turns out when you turn them on the anc is automatically on. You must turn the anc off to get them to sound decent. So...I am aggravated now so I order a pair of the original crusher anc's. They arrive...they also sound terrible. I am in shock now. I test all 3 against each other and my evo's that have a slight scratchiness in the mids and highs occassionally sound the best! I let my son try all 3..he says the evo's sound the best. Now I know my evo's are going out so I am going to still need to get some new cans. I have seen some reviews on another brand ( not mentioning the brand until I buy and try them out). If those don't make the cut I will buy a new pair of evo's. Now I am going to watch your video and see if you agree.
Decided to finally upgrade from my original Crusher Wireless to the ANC 2s. Would you say they're similar in terms of how heavy the bass comes across? I was down to pay a higher pricepoint for the ANC 2s, long as the selling point of the line is still up to par. Heard a comment here and there agreeing with what you said about the ANC 2 bass being less muddy, but supposedly not as powerful, so that had me a bit unsold on the upgrade.
I just made that same upgrade today. Overall, I am satisfied with the evolution / depth of the bass abilities, as I have been since originally introduced to the Crusher line back in 2008 - 2009. This ANC 2 offers a nice deep rattle along with a quick responsive punchiness of the drivers.
anc2's bass soynds sistorted when anc is on. When off I still think the evo's soumd better even though they don't get quite as loud in the mids and highs
Frankly, I have had the crusher anc 2 and crusher evo with me. The anc 2 are louder. But to me, if you got the evos and anc is not so much your thing, please save your 💷 money... Evos are equally good. U only have to EQ them right /well & u r done... I had to return the anc 2 as it was not necessary spending or upgrade for sure. I u like new things, the improved app and lighter weight, well then, go for the upgrade. Otherwise, stay put and wait for the new EVOs
@@dirkcoetsee5782 that would depend on the person as ear size is different and so comfirt would depend. But I can not complain about the Evos. 🤷♂️ Remember unless u compare with brand new EVOs who's earpads have not weakened somewhat, you can not tell equally. 🤷♂️
@@BillB3737Yes, I have tried the Crusher ANC and Crusher EVO. I use my Crusher Wireless with the bass slider turned all the way down and they are bassy enough for me. I really liked the Evos but the ear cups were too small for my ears to fit in comfortably and the headband was tight. I bought and returned the Crusher ANC as I found the sound signature to be a little dark, distant and somewhat veiled. I really liked the Skullcandy Venue's balanced sound signature with a mild emphasis on bass but the earcups were too small and pressed on my ear lobes. I have the Hesh 3 Wireless also.
@@Xtuck420xI love the OG Crusher Wireless. I never got a chance to try the AA Battery model and I think there was another model before those with an in line amp.
Hot take ! The anc 2 (does not) hit as hard as the evos. The ANC 2 does have better balance/ Refined In all Genres of music . But if you're just looking for Hard reckless skull vibrating bass Like putting 2 12 inch subs in a 2005 Dodge neon! Get the evos.🎉 It sounds like nostalgia 😂 And that is because the anc 2s do not clamp down on your head hard enough to really feel the crusher vibration as well as the evos.
Finally exactly what I was looking for the only thing holding me back is that it feels like they've never made that your cups any bigger since the original design language of the company seems like it marketed towards the casual preteen gamer crowd with small ears
I just wanted to say I enjoyed your video and there were a couple things about the headphones I thought was interesting you didn’t mention. First thing is how the audio quality drastically improves with both ANC and ambient modes off. You get much more power to the whole audio experience. Second interesting thing about these headphones is, when the battery dies completely, you can still use the wire. With some headphones you can’t use them at all when the battery is dead. I look forward to your future videos and I hope this gives you more to talk about, IDK!
I am looking for cheap headphones that have as much bass as the crusher anc or maybe overkill and loud but don't care about the mid range and tribble and Bluetooth for under $50.00 can you give me a name/brand that will do the job please and thank you
Hi. For whatever it may be worth, regarding the OG wired Crusher headphones, you can use a 3.5mm aux to Bluetooth adapter if you buy a separate slim headphone extender for it to reach into the headphone input jack port. It looks goofy as all hell, and it feels clumsy, especially if the aux to Bluetooth adapter is large and bulky or has a dangling wire attached to it, but it works. I know because I've done it with mine. You can also use the aux to Bluetooth adapter with a USB Bluetooth adapter.
This was a goated review. Side note you convinced me to get the Crusher instead of the ANC 2. That spinny knob is just not it man I want the slider thing that crushers are known for. That spinny knob looks like something from the 80s or something. Yuck.
I have to say as much I love my crushers from the 1st gen up to Anc, the end game for portable bass enjoyment was my Subpac(s). In fact, a new one coming out the end of this year which I've already ordered.
I legit don't know if i want the ANC 2, my EVOs only lasted 2.5 years, the haptic bass just went and it sounds god awful, never heard an headphone sound soo bad 😞....they really need to ensure the whole sound profile doesn't revolve around the haptic bass system.
What a waste of time This review is so superficial. you keep wanting to talk about how to crusher anc is only effectve with the slider at almost 40% yet you weren't thorough enough with the evo to find out that though the haptic bass reacts much earlier on the slider the bass intensity stops increasing once you reach 60% of the slider input. You couldn't pick that up but expect the rest of the review to be credible.
Dude u failed we wanted to know about the bass comparison I will tell you from first hand the crusher anc evo 1st gen is the best and the crusher evo 1/2 is a great bit the crusher anc 2 suck

Currently rocking beats but lately the sound quality doesnt feel right but at first i felt them louder then my last pair
have you got anc2? if so how are they. the base, noise cancelling
Bro the og crusher is probably one my favorite. Simply because of the haptic feature. Is the evo haptic at all?
Yes...in my opinion the evo is the best. Just returned the anc 2's bwcause the evo's sound better. Not as loud...but better. The bass in the anc2's is muddy and distorted when the anc is on.
Great job bro💪🏾 Thanks!
The ANC 2 does drop down to 20hz, but at high volumes, I noticed that the haptic drivers make sounds akin to a motorcycle's motor blowing out.
ANC2s do not drop lower than the original anc's. I just returned a pair of the anc2's. The evo's sound better!
@@keithcannon3682 The Evos do not sound better lmao. The mids are weaker and the treble is too harsh and grainy. Both problems were fixed on the ANC 2.
Does Skullcandy crusher anc have heavy bass like Skullcandy crusher ?
Nice! Xmas is comming, kids want headphones lol
I've had an old pair of crushers for like 6, or 8, or 10 yrs now. Well worn out, needs new pads again, and one side is held together with popsicle sticks n electrical tape 😂😂 (you can barely tell actually 😆)
At any rate, its time for new ones, and I was trying to figure whats the difference between em all!!!
(And when it takes 8hrs to mow my lawn, a good loud set of headphones are vital for tunes n audiobooks!)
Thanks for the review!
The earcups are replaceable on the Crusher Anc 2?
They don't appear to be. It's at totally different design from the older ones. I think there is an adhesive involved.
@@NewStuffTV1 that’s kinda sad considering I was planning to use them at the gym. Thanks for your response mate 💪
How is non-haptic pure sound bass comparing to WH-1000XM4 & WH-1000XM5 when set to Clear Bass +10? Maybe compared with MDR-XB950BT too?
yeah he needs to describe the bass sound signature.
Solid overview of these just wish you would have broke this up into chapters because all I was really interested in is the crusher ANC 2
DD-214! I appreciate your service!
ANC 2 have a lot more bads
I just made that same upgrade today. Overall, I am satisfied with the evolution / depth of the bass abilities, as I have been since originally introduced to the Crusher line back in 2008 - 2009. This ANC 2 offers a nice deep rattle along with a quick responsive punchiness of the drivers.
anc2's bass soynds sistorted when anc is on. When off I still think the evo's soumd better even though they don't get quite as loud in the mids and highs
Thanks for the review! Helped me decide to spend the extra money on the ANC 2. Cant wait to try them out!
What are they like?
Great well thought out review 👍
Frankly, I have had the crusher anc 2 and crusher evo with me. The anc 2 are louder. But to me, if you got the evos and anc is not so much your thing, please save your 💷 money... Evos are equally good. U only have to EQ them right /well & u r done... I had to return the anc 2 as it was not necessary spending or upgrade for sure.
I u like new things, the improved app and lighter weight, well then, go for the upgrade. Otherwise, stay put and wait for the new EVOs
What about the ear pad comfort?
new EVOs? when? :O
@@dirkcoetsee5782 that would depend on the person as ear size is different and so comfirt would depend. But I can not complain about the Evos. 🤷♂️ Remember unless u compare with brand new EVOs who's earpads have not weakened somewhat, you can not tell equally. 🤷♂️
@@isabelleann6701 Well I am hopeful as there must be an upgrade of the EVOs now that the ANC has got it... 😊
Agreed...evo's are the better sounding berter deal!
Which has the most bass?
The evo
The evo's.
You knew i would run the block 😂
I'm still rocking my OG Crusher Wireless! ❤
U ever try the newer ones? Its a big difference in bass quality
I still got the og's that only connect with a wire and use a AA battery but rarely use them anymore now i mostly just use my og wireless chrushers.
@@Xtuck420xI love the OG Crusher Wireless. I never got a chance to try the AA Battery model and I think there was another model before those with an in line amp.
I wouldn't be bragging.
#EvoGang Let’s Go !!
removal of earcup of 360?
How's the anc compared to the evo anc?
Crusher evo doesn’t have an anc feature
@@Coconut004 not referring to the crusher. But the hesh evo anc.
"Which should I choose, the ANC 2 or the Beats Studio 3?"
Removing the 3,5mm jack is an deal breaker for me when i wanna use them for gaming with low latency........
Hello master ❤
Which one do you think is better in bass?
Skullcandy crusher evo vs anc 2 ? Thanks for the answer🎉
Great review 👍👍
I just wanted to say I enjoyed your video and there were a couple things about the headphones I thought was interesting you didn’t mention. First thing is how the audio quality drastically improves with both ANC and ambient modes off. You get much more power to the whole audio experience. Second interesting thing about these headphones is, when the battery dies completely, you can still use the wire. With some headphones you can’t use them at all when the battery is dead. I look forward to your future videos and I hope this gives you more to talk about, IDK!
I am looking for cheap headphones that have as much bass as the crusher anc or maybe overkill and loud but don't care about the mid range and tribble and Bluetooth for under $50.00 can you give me a name/brand that will do the job please and thank you
There are none at that bass level
Soundcore q20 is pretty good but you're not getting anything close to the Skullcandy Crushers unfortunately. They're in a league of their own.
Used xb 900n
Crusher anc o Sony últ?
PLEASE TEARDOWN THE SKULLCANDY CRUSHER ANC 2
I wasn't able to afford a new pair so I ended up getting some cowin e 9s a wail back
This was a goated review. Side note you convinced me to get the Crusher instead of the ANC 2. That spinny knob is just not it man I want the slider thing that crushers are known for. That spinny knob looks like something from the 80s or something. Yuck.
Q: so do the skull candy crusher anc still have more bass then all the rest and by how much Difference in percentage by the rattling
I think so, too . He barely compared the bass at all. The upgrade is not worth it for me. My Crusher ANC 1 has the most brutal bass and I love it .
Hey I paid $330 for them so I was scared because I still wanted the bassiest headphones out
I got the bass Lever on 100% with 60hz on 100% and midrange on medium and treb on 70%
I'm waiting skullcandy to upgrade the bass by 50%
@@Alienspl4ysgames I paid 80 euros for my Crusher ANC ORIGINAL in 2021. For my Crusher Evo 135 euros
I have to say as much I love my crushers from the 1st gen up to Anc, the end game for portable bass enjoyment was my Subpac(s). In fact, a new one coming out the end of this year which I've already ordered.
Hi, Where did you go to order yours? I checked out the Subpac website but all I see is advertisements for their devices but no way to order ?
I legit don't know if i want the ANC 2, my EVOs only lasted 2.5 years, the haptic bass just went and it sounds god awful, never heard an headphone sound soo bad 😞....they really need to ensure the whole sound profile doesn't revolve around the haptic bass system.
On my 4th year of my crusher EVOs. No issues here. Use the every day 10 hours a day. Sound clear; the same as when I received them.
App not working on Android phones
Thanks for the comparison 😊
it's working perfectly fine, dunno what you're talking about...
Personally I dislike the ANC 2. It just sounds off. I can't explain it. I prefer the original ANC.
What a waste of time
This review is so superficial. you keep wanting to talk about how to crusher anc is only effectve with the slider at almost 40% yet you weren't thorough enough with the evo to find out that though the haptic bass reacts much earlier on the slider the bass intensity stops increasing once you reach 60% of the slider input. You couldn't pick that up but expect the rest of the review to be credible.
Good review...
Cool shirt yo joe
Este hombre ama los crushers, lastima que no sepa que es eso 😅
love the Conservative design
Dude u failed we wanted to know about the bass comparison I will tell you from first hand the crusher anc evo 1st gen is the best and the crusher evo 1/2 is a great bit the crusher anc 2 suck
Battery life on the ANC 2 60hr
I love this review, The Noggin Crusher Clan 👏👏👏👏
I.D. AND O.D. your a machinist??
I used to be a looooong time ago.
i've blue crusher evo.
I wanted to hear the headphones not see
