Dragon Ball Sparking Zero revealed a lot of information during Summer Game Fest however there's still nothing about Dragon Ball GT in Sparking Zero. We've seen Dragon Ball Super Hero DLC with more than likely Beast Gohan as well as Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 and possibly Cell Max, Dragon Ball Daima DLC but no GT. Will GT be DLC down the road?

Well right now in Sparking! Zero, we are going to have Dragon Ball Super: Superhero and Dragon Ball: Daima as the first season pass with the first three downloadable content packs. So if its successful, then they can add other characters that we asked them to put these characters in Sparking Zero.

out of a marketing srandpoint it makes more sense for GT and Movies to be DLC, while minir characters like Zarbon, Dabura and various ToP characters are base roster

The very first trailer they showed SS4 Goku from BT3. I don't think they would've shown that character specifically if GT characters werent gonna be in Sparking Zero

The 4 secret GT characters in Xenoverse 1 were:
SSJ4 Goku (complete all base game Parallel Quests)
SSJ4 Gogeta (unlocked via Dragon Balls)
Super 17 (unlocked via Dragon Balls)
Omega Shenron (unlocked via Dragon Balls)
In DBXV2, the Shadow Dragons and Hit were locked behind Dragon Balls as well.
GT and the normal dragonball being in the base game makes sense as dlc its the most dumb thing since theres heroes.
If GT does become DLC I will be fine with it. Yeah it will suck if that's the case but it's better having GT as DLC than not having it in the game at all. And one thing everyone needs to understand that this is Super's first ever debut in the Budokai Tenkaichi series and they are really focusing on that. If GT is in base game awesome but if it's DLC it's not a deal breaker for me. You can disagree with me on this and that's completely fine but I'm just saying it like it is.

GT was in base game for xenoverse 2 if I recall. Same with cooler and other dbz movie characters like dbz version of Broly, Turles and lord Slug. The demo revealed Dr. Gero I was not expecting to see Dr. Gero so I think we maybe in for a surprise.
We're definitely getting GT and the major reason they haven't revealed it is cuz the Super characters are obviously the biggest thing for marketing and is the most current Dragon Ball IP barring the upcoming Daima. In the best case scenario, GT will be in the base game since they were in Tenkaichi 3's base roster and from the marketing, it's very clear that all the characters from 3's roster are gonna be here. Worst case scenario, it's apart of the DLC and while disappointing and a pain, it wouldn't be completely unexpected with how games extend their lifespan nowadays.

Goku alone would have like 5 slots if they did what BT3 did for GT Goku

That's like 14 slots for just 7 characters.
Looking at the roster as it is right now, and considering that like it's predecessors it is ALSO counting forms as slots then there's just no way in hell GT is making it into the base game unless they cut out a bunch if Super characters, which they probably won't do because Super hasn't been in a BT game before so they'll probably want as many characters as possible from it.
Me and my buddy were able to come up with 163 slots from just Z and Super combined the other day and we didn't even have to actually think about it.

I just dunno why its so hard to believe there will be some GT in the base roster, it just wont be much. Theres a lot more slots left and just because we got ONE deep cut pick from ToP (Kakunsa), does not mean theyre putting in every ToP character. It very well just may not be a big priority with the marketing. It was revealed pretty later on in Xenoverse 1 for instance
Whenever you include characters, you HAVE to factor in who else would accompany them.
They didn’t reveal any characters EXCLUSIVE to “what if scenarios”, but let’s say there’s a “GT vs Super” what if battle where GT Goku and GT Vegeta fight DBS Goku and DBS Vegeta. It’s be a pretty short what if battle if they just did “SSJ4 vs SSB” with fusions at the end so they would need to include the lesser forms of GT Goku and GT Vegeta to give the battle more substance.
If they insist on ONLY featuring what if battles with characters that have fully fledged story fights, then that means you would need at least two forms of Baby to justify SSJ4 Goku and at least Omega Shenron to justify GT Vegeta and SSJ4 Gogeta.
If they REALLY wanted to reinact the whole of those battles, that throws GT Pan, Uub/Majuub and GT Trunks with two extra forms into the mix.
Keep in mind, people also want OG Dragon Ball in the base game as well since there are really fun gag characters and equally important icons that wouldn’t sell as well for DLC. The more GT you try to cram into the base roster, the more you have to compromise in other areas.
Cabba, Frost, Bottamo, and Magetta have not even been put on the roster yet and they could take upwards of 6-8 slots.
@@toomberrebmoot9244 I just feel like this obsession on everybody having all of their forms for all of these what it's and all that just seems overkill. Especially since the developers haven't said these rules or anything. I would personally take weaker what ifs it meant getting GT characters.
I actually made a prediction list that featured those specific missing characters while still fitting in some GT and movie characters. It's insane to me that they'd make us wait so long for movie and GT characters while those ridiculous Daima characters will get in first

Gt and movie characters probably dlc, if i remember correctly there are 3 character dlc packs with over 20 characters so that would be enough to fit them in

nah here's the thing you see since 2008 dbgt being in db games started to shatter with time especialy after super and battle of gods and "F" came out dbgt was left in the shadows so you won't find him in the final game of any 2010s db games unless it's added on dlcs but still sparking zero won't have it in the final game .but ofc they will add it as a dlc pack but what i really want them to add as a dlc is og dragonball......and it's story as well.
Considering they're doing themed character announcements, they're probably saving them for a GT one, or maybe even an AU one with Xenoverse or Heroes characters.

I tried creating a full roster prediction, I’m stuck at 165 characters (including less relevant characters like Anilaza and Sorbet) and I still had space for a lot of GT and a bit for the movies. The main loss is DB characters, but maybe those slots would just be swapped around.
also GT and Dragonball and Z and Super would fit the main roster since the heroes are literally dlc characters
I do feel people should understand like it or not super is the hot new thing so most of the roster will be super characters yes I am sure there will be gt characters there but it may be dlc plus we both know people will pay for that

DLC makes sense for Heroes. GT should be the main roster and also Dragonball should have kid goku.

I never liked how they use up slots by separating the transformations. I prefer going into the fight at base and choose which transformation i want to fight as.

My take, if GT really is dlc, then they should at least push daima to a other dlc. We still don't know much about daima and who will be playable. For me, I'd like to know what I'm getting before buying
I doubt it'll be dlc, again alot of characters that are popular have yet to be shown.
GT characters might be instead unlocked through shenron like Xenoverse 2 did with some of the shadow dragons or we could possibly unlock them through the what if story routes.

Just so people understand about GT that's how the hierarchical priority goes when implementing characters (Note that this is not my personal opinion but how things simply are. I personally really like GT content such as Baby or all the shadow dragons which have never made a full debut in games, only Eis, Nuova and Omega).
1. DBZ
2. DBS
3. DB canon movies
4. DB Daima (yes the rugrats baby cast is considered vastly more important and relevant than any GT content in Japan since it's a new release and it will be boosted and advertising as such. GT in comparison is considered a dead product much as relevant as the dbz non canon movies chars like Turles or the Deadzone movie).
5. DBZ non canon movies
6. DB GT.
There is a chance GT won't make it entirely, not even as DLC. However that being said it's unlikely since DBFZ has been getting dlcs for 4 years and Xenoverse 2 for 10 years. After DB hero and DB daima which will be about half to a full year after the game release *maybe* we'll see a GT pack. It took dbfz nearly 4 years to release GT content.
Here's a personal tip for all. If you gonna buy the game, buy it on PC as the community will be making mods for the next 20 years to come. Your character didn't make it? They will be modded. You will also get a ton of content like maps, animated abilities and the list goes on.

@Reivaz88 I'm just speaking in comparison to the ps2 gamecube days you bought the game and that was it, no additional stuff needed to buy. Just in general that I find it sad how everything has to have dlc now instead of having a full package on release like the old days.

@@GeekMuscle they can't afford to do that anymore, honestly the fact that this game cost as much as xenoverse 2 did in 2016 is surprising. Or like 10$ more. If we're going based on graphics either can take the cake, if we mean the entire maps graphics SZ easily takes. The combats are too dissimilar to compare but neither are entirely a focused story mode game, xenoverse 2s base roster was 80 for 60$ and sparking zero will be 164 for 70$ ( where I am obviously it could change depending on where you are currency where you get it etc) even with xenoverse's dlc it only has 2/3 as many characters sparking will have in the base game. They NEED dlc and I'm surprised that they're giving so many in just a few dlc, they might run out of character to sell by dlc 5 so don't expect this to be like fighterz or xv2

Dragon Ball Super characters should be dlc and GT characters should be in the base game because Sparking Zero is a sequel to Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 GT characters were in the base game.

I’ve played all super characters in xeno 2 and fighterz I want GT in base game
The difference is xenoverse 2 has 75 characters in base game, 130 now with dlc. Sparking zero has 164 on launch, so they had to cut some characters, no matter what you probably won't be happy, if they cut original db in order to add gt you'll be mad you can't play as general blue, arale, pilaf, bacteria and other shitty characters

That's more unlikely for a game like this for a couple reasons, yeah they'll be a few more dlc but at some point it'll stop, unlike xeno which just added base broly and that's the entire dlc. Technology evolves over time. This isnt "hating", im simply stating the obvious. Sparking Zero is more like a Raging Blast 3. Its not a real sequel to BT4.

I think no GT in the base game is a bit disappointing but its also whatever. In a perfect world things like that would be in the base game but this isnt 2007 anymore, and people need to just accept that DLC is unfortunately a common practice in gaming nowadays.
Personally im still excited for Sparking Zero regardless, we get all of Super in a BT format and even without GT and excluding transformations it is still going to be the largest DB game to date roster wise.
So long as theres plenty of characters, they dont play like echos (which old BT games had a ton of) and the gameplay feels like it used to from the older games then ill gladly spend an extra 20 dollars on dlc for GT.
If the game sucks, then they're not getting another dime from me.
If it werent for the lack of all DB sagas then id say this feels like a love letter to DB fans, and it still does to a degree. I have faith that this game will be good, and if it is ill gladly buy classic dragonball and GT content.

DbGT has been in 3 bt games, dbs hasn't been in any yet, If dbgt wasn't dlc then dbs would be, I'll gladly take super over GT because I've already played through gt in the BT games 3 other times.
