Somebody spotted Kid Goku from OG Dragon Ball during the game mode showcase. While the image is low res, it’s definitely him because his orange gi without the blue undershirt as well as the “Ozaroo Dragon Fist (the one he defeated King Piccolo with)” can be seen prominently.
So OG Dragon Ball IS in the base game.

Dr gero is 100% in the game as he's in the new gameplay showcases, and i feel like kid gohan is gonna have an ape form
I hope Gohan gets his great ape form since he is actually one of the few characters who have transformed on screen. I didn't include him just because he wasn't in BT3 but maybe now is the time.
Chiaotzu was teased in the in the latest gameplay trailer.
Also a lot of folks seems to say that Basil and Lavender in the game and the characters who are part of a team attack move are playable characters.
I think it's more likely theyre only a team attack, we need those free slots 😅

I think it's more likely Ribrianne's giant form appears over her base form
I thinks it pretty much a given that Rozie and Ribrianne are going to be in. Kakunsa all but confirms Ribrianne and it would be weird to have be the Rozie be the only one missing. Brianne de Chateau is likley not getting added since its pretty much ignored in all media save for the anime itself and doesn't actually have any moves save for the one that can be given to Ribrianne.
Yeah the giant form Ribrianne has in the anime is more likely than her base Brianne form, it would be an extra giant character in the game.
I could see the trio's base forms used for the character selector to transform into during the opening dialogue but not for the actual gameplay
I’m really holding out for Giant Bergamo. Just because that’s a big thing for him as a power set. That and holding out for lavender and basil. While they at the moment are an ultimate for bergamo I feel their fights are good to go off of.
I can see Android 21 getting in through DLC, shes been in every recent Dragon ball game

GT characters are way too popular in the Tenkaichi series to just dump all of them into DLC. It would be a slap in the face to have certain lower tier, less popular characters and exclude GT, especially the Super Saiyan 4s.
It wouldn't be a slap in the face of anyone. Akira Toriyama never wrote for GT but he did write most of Super. Grow up

He also drew a few planets, like the spaceship and the little robot. Akira Toriyama gave Toei Animation tips on the story. The claim that Akira Toriyama has nothing to do with DBGT is false.

It was Toei's idea to keep milking the dragonball franchise but they wouldn't do without the approval of Toriyama. Alot of the creative behind GT was his idea but to say he wanted to make GT in the first place is false.
If they are too popular it makes more sense for them to be DLC

As of the Swords and Fists trailer you've got a few right on the nose! Namely Ribrianne, Dabura, Yajirobe, Anilaza, and Ultra instinct sign Goku

It's harder for anything manga to be put into games. Bandai always wait for the characters to be revealed in the anime before they do anything.

Trunks is already in ssjrage in this demo since he has final hope slash as his ultimate (the spirit bomb sword)
Gohan (Kid) is definitely getting Great Ape over Nappa or Raditz, although they could get it too based on how the old games did things. If Goku (Kid) is here, then I could see him getting Great Ape before these other Great Apes like Raditz that were really game-original and not from the manga/anime. Bardock is another one who could get Great Ape (and Super Saiyan).
GT will be in the game no worries if you’re A og gamer you’ll remember that there’s one thing that all 3 tk games had in common in the past and that GT was A post game content after finishing the Z story
If they add UI sign goku, that could make a potential Ultra Ego DLC possible, because then Vegeta and Goku would both have 5 transformations

I really hope we get to play characters that were not or rarely exploited in DB video games so far, the likes of King Vegeta, SSJ4, Janemba, Thalès, Slug, Bojack. Potentially, a version of "non-cannon" Broly from the OAV who remains my favorite version. There's a lot characters that we really do no give two shits about (Ribrianne...) that should not be prioritized over cool antagonists from movies etc...
Magetta and Botamo will be in. I have a feeling Monaka will be in as a Hercule type

I've only seen the TOP once so my memory on characters importance isn't the best. Making this I tried to refresh my memory but for sure could have missed obvious characters.
For Goku? The likelihood is if they add UI Sign, instead of giving 5 forms, MUI would likely just be an extension when in the UIS form..sort of like Cell's or Frieza's evos. Or blue Kaioken(tho that is a skill technically but I digress.)

I feel like they might cut out the lesser Great Apes and only put in story relevant giants (Vegeta, Kid Goku/Gohan, Bergamo, Ribrianne, Agnilaza, Baby and Hirudegarn)

Yeah. Super gave us more unique giants to work with that we don't really need all the Great Apes anymore, especially when not all of them even appeared in the anime and they were mainly just reskins with the same mouth blast moves.
Cell Max and Orange Piccolo will also likely be included in the Super Hero DLC.

I kind of did in my Predictions/Wishlist video. I wouldn't really have much to add to that but I have been considering go over who the 8 potential episode mode characters will be.
Having ui sign and ui masted be there own separate characters is not dumb it would be smart, both in terms of just making a separate op character instead of giving 1 characters 50 op forms and in terms of gameplay (when you have to unlock him)
I guess "stupid" in that I enjoy being able to transform mid battle instead of treating it like a separate character, breaking the immersion.

Why are you giving characters variants that don’t have one to begin with? Piccolo don’t have a variant so 9 times outta 10 his super forms will be transformations
BT3 had Piccolo variants. There was an early variant from the Saiyan arc and a variant from the android arc.
Most likely we will also get Piccolo Jr from the 23rd tk tourney along with his giant transformation

my idea is the DLC's are going to be diama and hero first (and cell max will be in there) and for the third one its going to just be random with maybe aralay, gt stuff, maybe shalotte, some xeno stuff, y'know just some random bullshit as well as maybes ome of the og db being there to create a full story

I think instead of Gt or OG dragon ball it might be filled with movie characters. As both OG and GT wouldn't be represented well with those remaining slots and they might honestly be better off as another package
Blue evolved was shown as a powerup for Vegeta Super not a seperate character slot. They're treating it the same way as blue kaioken

my main squad in tenkaichi 3 was chars from GT and the old movies
so was excited to play with them again but so far no chars from those ....

I don't know Chiaotzu and Saibamen may not be cool to play as but both decently important. Might both be good characters to round out a team if you only have a couple points left.
Gogeta Z would be a costume since costumes are confirmed to have different skill sets, ssbe vegeta is a skill like ssbk goku
The joys of timing, makes total sense to make SSBE and SSBKK both skills while I think your right Gogeta Z as a skin would make the most sense.

Im hoping for that too but its most likely not gonna happen. They would need to hire a whole new voice actor and it just wouldn't make sense within the context of the game since every character here is either before the tournament of power, or from the tournament of power. But ngl even though its delusional Id still love to see Moro, Granolah, Gas, 73, UE Vegeta, Black Frieza and maybe even Merus in the game. Again realisitically its not gonna happen so try not to get ur hopes up.
Im under the impression that these slots might be a loose guide. The game might actually launch with more than 164 characters
The producer even said something like it in a recent interview. I won't be surprised if in some of the new trailers they show more slots unlocking in that screen.
all I know BLACK freezia, ,Moro, Granola , merus, Jaco , whis , ultra ego vegeta, orange piccolo, beast gohan, the gammas, gas, gogeta ssj4 , Goku and Vegeta ssj4, baby Vegeta, super 17, omega Sheron must be in the game !! sometimes they make useless characters take spots when useful characters should be in the game this has potential to be the best Dragon ball game ever!

GT will be downloadable content for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Don't you remember that the GT characters has been in the Budokai Tenkaichi games since BT1. So I know they're focusing on Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super characters in the base game, but it makes sense for the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z Movies, and Dragon Ball GT characters will be DLC for Sparking! Zero. As of right now, they're focusing on both Dragon Ball Super: Superhero and Dragon Ball Daima for the first season pass.

You're wrong actually. MOST of GT will be doc but the main cast like the ssj4 and shadow dragon cast will be in the base game.

I don’t think they’re going to include great apes for all saiyans, thats too many slots on characters that are technically not canon (or never shown) I also hope they don’t include grunts like Cui or Appule because let’s be real, who’s asking for that

Love the video, I think they're going to use alot of slots for Tournament of Power characters to tell that story more. and likely wont have anything from GT.
Also keep in mind all the movie villians, we dont have a whole lot of GIANT characters, and there's 2 from the movies. Not to mention Goku SSJ3 move set has moves FROM the JENIMBA Movie!!!! Movie characters confirmed??

Okay, so from the 90%+ roster :
I generally agree with most, some of them were already confirmed too, but I assume you do know that and no need to point out which. The only things I would point out is that at the moment SSRage Trunks, and 17 (Z) look a bit iffy. It seems very likely that in this game your supers are tied to the character costume. And in this case, these two could actually be costumes. 17 because he's already so similar that just changing the supers may be enough, and Trunks mostly based on the demo footage online. Other than these 2 I would agree with the whole list as being pretty much for sure going to be in. (I would maybe add Rosie too [Also I am very sad that Ribriane, Kakunsa and Rosie are very unlikely to have their base forms in the game, because not gonna lie - I would prefer to play their base forms than their transformations ^^])
When it comes to very likely, yeah I also feel the same, these are quite likely but I can see them not being in.
And I'd definetely lean more towards option 1 than 2, I'd personally like to see more fleshed out Tournament of Power roster. But well, even if they will come in the DLC's at least I will be able to make my own TOP story mode with them

Prediction: 15 DLC with 3 characters released each time, over 3 years, at a price of $9.99 each, after paying $89.99 for Deluxe Edition, totaling $239.84 for the "full game" before taxes (probably closer to $300 after taxes). Id like if we got only the most powerful characters. No dodorias and android 19. But we need the 3 villians from GT and the movie villians. And then only the strongest from TOP. So no basil and lavender. But kakunsa already breaks that theory
I think they like to put in a mix of "powerful" and weaker characters but get what you are saying.
