The PS5 Pro Reveal Was A Failure - Here's How To Fix It

- The reveal of the PS5 Pro console, priced at $700 was a flop. But it didn't need to be. At the very least, having more time to showcase what the console could actually do, the PlayStation 5 Pro could have been a showcase of what we could expect from games in the future, but there were several problems that held back any sort of positive buzz about this release. Here's what I see as a miss in this presentation and how I would recommend making a few fixes.

Why they had the creepiest man alive unveil it...
I know a lot of feelings are thrown into this lol but reactions on twitter lol and the real world are 2 different things. The ps5 pro willl sell out over and over lol you’re a fool if you think otherwise. I’m sure I’ll get someone on here that thinks they know better but you’ll be wrong. The ps5 pro is either where you’ll game or not lol it’s very simple. If it’s too expensive as they say get a more expensive pc lmao
Will it have low frame rate vrr and will it have it have full rgb color space in 120hz mode
Oh god the complain brigade is out on an optional product lol
You WILL be forced to buy a PS5 pro. Developers will complain about base ps5, like how they do for Series S. Sony will withhold features from base ps5 and force other developers to do the same. Gaming got super expensive.
Ps5 digital (with stand) $399
Ps5 pro (only digital): $699 + no stand ($29)
$728 vs $399.
82 % markup 4 YEARS later for 45% more performance???
What is sony smoking?
This is a $599 console at most
It's not even 45% more performance. The CPU is the same but overclocked by 10%. The only real increase is the GPU which only makes it faster, not better.
Concord!!!!!
@@TheWholeGrainBread_Real So what's the point?
Things are more expensive than 4 years ago.
@TheWholeGrainBread_Real If the CPU changed it would no longer be a ps5. It would a ps6. Ps4 pro has same cpu as ps4. If the cpu changes the games would not recognise the console
Sony made promises of standard 4k 60fps when they marketed the OG PS5 and even put 8k on the box originally. Now they’re telling us we need PS5Pro for that. They think they’re going to fool those of us on the fence this time again…they’re wrong.
The games Sony first party bring out always look amazing. Third party games however are now unoptimised messes this generation.
@@Etheral101 they literally showed first party games in the reveal and showed how poor they are in comparison. Nice try though.
What first party games??
Right! 😂 this lil mfr is smokin something good...
Technically they were not wrong that the PS5 is capable of outputting those kinds of resolution and frame rates but obviously didn't mention that this was not gonna happen in most games as the hardware is just not powerful enough .
On PS5 Pro you can finally play PS4 games at 60FPS. FOR JUST 1000USD!!(UK pricing with disk drive, said Tom Warren)
WHAT A DEAL!!!
But can you play Bloodborne at 4k 60fps!? 🤪
@@ArcueidBrunestuddo uhhh
Would guess not, because if it could the PS5 would have already done it. But would be cool nonetheless
Wait is this true or a joke?
I bought the PS5 to play PS4 games at 30FPS without the console sounding like a 747 taking off.
After so many years of lies about the real performance of the "next generation console," they finally decided to be honest.
The price is egregious, the demonstrations were unimpressive, but the worse is them showcasing PS4 games 5 years into the PS5 because the current PS5 exclusive catalogue is sparse and with nothing at all for the near future.
Honestly makes you wonder... Could an entire catalogue be filled by the cancelled PS5 games at this point?
Final Fantasy XVI looked really bad for being a PS5 exclusive, not the kind of game they could use for a presentation like this either or a game that justified its exclusivity. This generation is sorely lacking in exclusive content to justify even migrating to the base PS5 and judging by the numbers, almost half of the people didn't care and stayed with their PS4s, idk how many of those migrated to PC tho. In my case, I did, sorta, and it seems the PS5 Pro is only on par with a gaming laptop. Everything they showcased are things gaming laptops already do
It’s going to cost $1375 here in New Zealand… wtf 🤣
Around the same in South Africa, blooooooody hell :-D
That's ridiculous

You know what would have really helped the PS5 Pro announcement? Showing an actual new game running on the PS5 Pro, not just a bunch of old games. This would have been the perfect opportunity to showcase something like Insomniac’s Wolverine game.
Probably get a state of play just before TGS starts, seeing as the 26th is when pre-orders start...that being said I'm happy with my ps5 as is
I liked seeing The Last of Us and FF7 Rebirth with PS5 Pro. It made a difference for me. I’m sure there will be a separate showcase for new games 😊
@@Dis2good They didn't need to show multiple new games at this reveal. All they needed to do was show a SINGLE new game. 99% of people don't care about seeing these older games getting a minor performance/graphical boost. They want to see how new games will perform on this hardware.
Poor ponnies they already lost the wolverine game before arrival 🤣
@@hibeftghrrfb4315 Dont know where you Xbots are getting that info from lmao, As Wolverine is still exclusive to Ps5 right now lmao.

No new games, no new design, no disc drive, no stand, couldn't hire an editor to show the differences in resolution, couldn't hire an intern to record gameplay with an fps counter, $300 more than the non-Pro equivalent...
All the signs of a mass misappropriation of funds at PlayStation. I'm calling it right now: someone is stealing money in that company.
It's poor but Xbox isn't doing a good job either I'd say they're doing worse are going to a state that's unrecoverable. The PS5 Pro even with it's ridiculous price will still push some units Xbox due to gamepass has ruined their sales as there's no incentive to buy games when game pass hell there's no real reason to own an Xbox when you can literally play anywhere and now that games are going to the PS they're direct competitor something Sony would never do as blatantly it's the writing on the wall and as an Xbox fan this might be my last one. But I still want to own both systems regardless but Xbox has become a Joke, Playstation has just become Greedy.
@@mbphilipblack8993 You're 100% right. Xbox is unsalvageable; they're almost 50 million consoles behind the PS5. They have a less than zero chance of making a comeback, which is why all of their future software is being developed for PlayStation as well.
PlayStation's business feels like it's being run by criminals. I'm not joking: I wholeheartedly believe their business would fail multiple audits. There's greed, there's incompetence, and then there's illegality. Their decisions all lean towards a lack of finances; which is literally impossible for a business that makes billions of dollars in profit each year.
How does a multi-billion dollar business fail to hire a $30 an hour person?
Nah, this is simply Sony being arrogant and thinking they can do anything and succeed, just like they did when going from PS2 to the PS3. Hopefully this bites them as hard as that arrogance did.

Sony: Incremental enhancements, overpriced, no games, and Garth from Wayne's World... what could go wrong.
What about free backwards compatibility? Oh, just Garth. Ok.
It’s kind of surprising to me that Sony can’t read the room. There has been talk of Sony being anti-consumer, willing to nickel and dime their customers, And that they don’t have enough new games. This announcement literally touched on all of those subjects, but in a way that paints Sony in an even worse light.
Does Sony even have a PR team? Or is this just an indication that Sony really does feel like they can do whatever they want because they’re at the top?
Sony: let's skip the scalpers and scalp our customers
so true... this is wat i think all da time
Gotta cut out that middle man.
Scalpers won't even touch it tbh. Sony really have cut out all parties it seems. Even the direct customer
They can blame Xbox all they want for not competing, but now is up to the consumer to kick Sony in their teeth.
Yea sure 😂 it will probably sell millions of copies
I keep telling everybody that there's no point in Pros. Just wait for the Ps6 that's just a few years down the road.
Or better yet, wait for the next gen Xbox hybrid that’ll be out in two years and will leapfrog the PS5 Pro technologically…
@@JazzzRockFuzion Then it will cost a fortune if it shall leapfrog the pro.
I've literally waited this long to get a PS5, as soon as the slim version was announced, there was rumor of the "Pro" so I waited for that. Missed out on Resi 4 Remake, FF7 Rebirth. At this point i might as well just get the Slim then.
Funny how no one mentions how much additional money you have to spend every few months buying another controller since they fail that often. Easily another $100+ a year at the least.

I guess broadcasting a video in 1080p with downgraded bitrate to demonstrate graphic fidelity differences was a bad idea from the start. People felt like they were invited in a contest of finding the 7 differences between the two pictures for 10 minutes...
not just that, but then revealing the price tag just kills any and all hype anyone could even have at that point.
800 euro for a PS5 pro is way too much, i'll gladly shove a bit more money for a proper PC that can do everything, instead of a PS5 pro what can only play games and watch videos/streams.

@@DarkDyllon globally mobile and PC gaming has been on the rise, this will likely to accelerate things...
I would save the money for a new GPU for my kids...
Consoles used to be about features and games, not graphics.
Until the Wii came along, consoles were *always* about graphics. The Console Wars (SNES vs Genesis vs Jaguar) of the early 90s were literally all about graphics, graphics, graphics.
In the 1980s, consoles were literally competing based on how closely to the arcade versions their games were - based largely on visuals. I could go on and on.
Games are obviously critical to a system’s success, but to say consoles were ‘not about graphics’ in the past is patently false.
I will keep my ps5 it good enough
Exactly. Most games they showed like TLOU2 or Ghost of Tsushima are already pretty flawless on the base PS5. Even games that “could” be improved like Alan Wake 2 don’t really need it.

Honestly, for me, it was the disk drive. Pro versions are always expensive, and their prices always go down. But this whole digital-only future thing is annoying; it doesn't have to be that way. Companies just want to control everything and squeeze you dry.
For me it's the whole negative view on the customer side and echo-system that is going all in on digital.
And yeah not including a stand is the worst part. a 10 cent component for 30$
I have been supporting this industry since 1980's and have bought to many computers and video game consoles. That i almost threw up during the showcase when the pricing and "bundle" were revealed.
I then realised one thing, this is not going to stop, not going to change nor becoming cheaper.
But i do not have to support this negative downward spiral

Why doesn’t Sony make a Killzone game, or even a Jak & Daxter game?
too busy making shit like concord
The killzone and resistance games came out in an era when shooters were big. Halo was king and Sony needed an answer to that. Now COD is where everyone gets their shooter fix. I would like to see them at least attempt to remaster those games at improved fidelity and framerates but it will likely never happen as they don’t see the monetary sense in it
Who is going to spend 700$+ to replay games, you can't release a new system without software. No one cares about raytracing..
PlayStation's marketing team should be embarrassed. What were they thinking?
So let me get this straight… for 4 years you’ve essentially sold us PROTOTYPES of unfinished products because they were rushing out to compete with Xbox. You sold the unit with a MISSING SSD And a half of storage drive… this is a money grab and that’s why the catalog is 4 years old to show games off to play “the way the developer intended…” sounds to me like you all told on yourselves SONY… you knew this was what was suppose to be 4 years ago
To be fair, I don't think the shadows in that Spiderman demo look worse on PS5 Pro. That is probably a difference in the shadows actually being raytraced now instead of being a shadow map. In raytracing, shadows get increasingly blurry the farther away it is from the source of the shadow.
And sometimes… ray tracing looks worse imo.
Correct, it's called penumbra. On the left side the penumbra is too sharp, while on the right side on PS5 Pro it's arguably more realistic.
@DestinL I can see how you could feel that way, but simulating reality is an upgrade. The eventual PC release will have this same option I'm sure. You may be able to disable that in the options. I agree this was a bad presentation in general and I certainly don't think it is worth the cost but I can't knock them for that shadow but your point about having a developer explain the difference is valid.
Anyone else have a problem with them advertising the PS5 Pro vertically as if that is the proper way to display it only to not allow the customer to display it properly unless they pay more? If they are going to add the disclaimers *vertical stand sold separately, why not advertise it with the disk drive since they added a disclaimer for that too? They should advertise it the way that it comes out of the box. For now, I wouldn’t complain about the price if the value was there, but I fail to see the value to give up my current PS5 that came with a disk drive. I would be paying $280 more than what I paid, and I’m not seeing a $280 improvement.
I wanted to get the pro, but after coming to realization that I would have to fork over $850 To get not only the system, the stand, the disk drive?

@@GOATxAlpha "Technical promise" no, if you have a PS5 already, don't do it. The "technical promise" is simply better graphical fidelity. It won't help FPS much unless the game was GPU bound, and even then, expect 60FPS at the max. 120FPS requires a faster CPU, and the Pro's CPU is almost identical to the base PS5, it's scary. And even the boosted frequency mode puts the CPU in line with an Xbox Series X.
Otherwise, you're paying 850$ for a GPU upgrade that's not worth it. This is coming from someone who spent money on upgrading from a 980ti to a 4080. That was a worthwhile price, but I won't be buying the 50-Series Nvidia cards or the next gen AMD Cards unless the performance boost over my 4080 is over 100% in all aspects, RT included.

Both Sony and Microsoft promised 4K gaming at up to 120 FPS. Now Sony is telling us to spend $800 to get real 4K gaming at 60 FPS. It might be too strong to say that they lied to us, but I am feeling misled.

The PS5 and XBox Series X are good consoles. I see very little reason to spend $800 to get a better frame rate in fidelity mode. Neither will anyone else.

@juliothom2408 Agreed because you mentioned PS3.
The Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) faced several controversies throughout its lifecycle, including issues related to its price, hardware, firmware updates, and legal battles. Here are some of the key controversies:
1. High Launch Price (2006):
Problem: When the PS3 was launched, it was priced at $499 for the 20GB model and $599 for the 60GB model. This high price made it one of the most expensive consoles at the time.
Reaction: Consumers and media criticized the pricing, which hurt initial sales. Sony defended the price, stating that the PS3 offered superior technology, such as the Blu-ray player, which was a new feature then.
2. Removal of "OtherOS" Feature (2010):
Problem: Sony initially allowed users to install alternative operating systems (like Linux) on the PS3 through the "OtherOS" feature. However, in 2010, Sony removed this feature via a firmware update, citing security concerns.
Reaction: This upset a significant number of users, particularly in the hacking and modding community. It led to a class-action lawsuit, and prominent hacker George "Geohot" Hotz filed a lawsuit against Sony. The removal also fueled an increase in PS3 hacking attempts.
3. Hacking and the George Hotz Lawsuit (2011):
Problem: Following the removal of OtherOS, hacker George Hotz managed to jailbreak the PS3, giving users control over the system to run unauthorized software, including pirated games. Sony sued Hotz, leading to a highly publicized legal battle.
Reaction: The hacking community saw this as a challenge to their rights to modify hardware they owned. Hotz eventually settled with Sony out of court, but the event further polarized consumers, with some siding with Hotz and others supporting Sony’s right to protect its platform.
4. 2011 PlayStation Network (PSN) Breach:
Problem: In April 2011, the PlayStation Network was hacked, compromising the personal data of 77 million users. The network was down for 23 days, making it one of the largest data breaches in gaming history.
Reaction: Sony faced a public relations crisis due to the extended downtime and the massive loss of user data. Consumers were outraged by the lack of transparency, as it took Sony several days to inform the public of the breach. Sony eventually offered free games and services as compensation, but the incident damaged its reputation.
5. Backward Compatibility Issues:
Problem: Early PS3 models were backward compatible with PlayStation 2 (PS2) games due to the inclusion of dedicated PS2 hardware. However, to cut costs, Sony removed this feature in later versions, leaving users unable to play their older games on newer PS3 models.
Reaction: The removal of backward compatibility disappointed many fans, especially those who had large PS2 game libraries. Sony faced criticism for changing a feature that was initially advertised as a selling point.
6. YLOD (Yellow Light of Death):
Problem: The PS3 suffered from hardware issues like the Yellow Light of Death (YLOD), similar to the Xbox 360's Red Ring of Death. This hardware failure indicated that the console had overheated or experienced another significant problem.
Reaction: Many users were frustrated by this issue, as it often required expensive repairs or a complete replacement. Some criticized Sony for not addressing the problem more proactively.
7. Cell Processor Development Controversy:
Problem: The PS3's Cell processor, developed in collaboration with IBM and Toshiba, was extremely powerful but notoriously difficult to develop games for. Developers complained about the complexity of programming for the PS3, leading to some games being poorly optimized compared to the Xbox 360 versions.
Reaction: While Sony boasted about the power of the Cell processor, some developers criticized the company for making a console that was harder to work with, which affected the performance and quality of multi-platform games.
Overall, despite these controversies, the PS3 managed to sell over 87 million units worldwide and became a beloved console for many players, especially after overcoming its early struggles.
I just don't see the reason for a PS5 Pro when you don't have games releasing and your showing PS4 games on a PS5 Pro
GTA 6 WILL BE A BUNDLE FOR THE NEW XBOX 2026 🎉🎉🎉
£700…Noooo disk drive….No new games…Noooo Sony…🤬‼️🤬
Ah yes IGN, those clowns that gave Alien Isolation a 5.9/10.
maybe it's just me, but companies need to stop using ray tracing as a selling point. You're never going to sell me a system/game on the premise of ray tracing. it adds very little to the scene most of the time. especially considering the performance hit that usually comes with it.
Ps6 will cost a bomb for sure
You nailed it ! They really didn't know how to convey what the PS5 Pro could do very well.
When there is no competition this happens. If xbox were actually competitive, and there were comparable series x pro, Sony would not dare to go with this price
Xbox is competing. You just aren't paying attention.
If Sony doesn't see Xbox as competition, then why do they even bother paying for timed exclusives solely to keep games off Xbox like with Silent Hill 2 Remake? If Xbox is so irrelevant, then Sony shouldn't even need to pay devs like Konami, they should just skip Xbox willingly.
And why do they copy everything Xbox does, like how they turned PS Plus into an inferior Game Pass rip-off?
@@jimmythegamer2231 Exclusivity deals haven't been done yesterday dude. They are done years before even before next gen is out. Microsoft abandoning Xbox and becoming 3rd party like ubisoft has started after Activision deal.
@@VGFightSchool Microsoft is Sony's biggest 3rd party partner.
@@jimmythegamer2231 LOGIC like this will get you into trouble.
We don't know it's a flop. There're lots of fanboys, technologically impaired upper-middle class soccer mons, scalpers and game store employees pushing the PS5 out there.
Sony is forced to raise their prices on everything due to loosing hundreds of millions of dollars from low sells on their games, loosing the exclusivity of COD etc etc
You probably right. They seem to have ditched the strategy of losing money on the hardware to make it up later with game and accessory sales. Now that games take 5 years to develop they can no longer bank on this
@@Neo_Rain146 maybe they should actually push the devs instead of saying "take your time"
why does it take 4-5 years (or in the case of Concord 8 years) to make a mediocre looking game when previously games took 2-3 years.
@@DarkDyllonevery AAA game is going to take 5 years to make. There's no way around it unless we scale back to AA games. The obsession of graphic fidelity, open-world game design and cinematic game experience is what is pushing the lenghty game development time.
@@DarkDyllon Sure but then all you are going to see is day one unfinished games that need multiple patches like Cyberpunk. Games now are resource intensive and can’t be churned out with the quality people expect in 2-3 years unless we go back to PS3 graphical fidelity which isn’t an option.
@@Neo_Rain146 I call BS on this.
if we look for example to MGS4 on the PS3, it looks really good, still to this day, yet all devs nowadays want is chase this random photorealism and instead of taking 3 years to develop it takes 5 years to develop, that's literally half a console generation.
news flash, a console needs games to be relevant, and the PS5 simply doesn't have these games to stay relevant, it's laughable howmany games the PS5 has ... now they want us to pay 800 euro for a slight upgrade?
I personally, could care less about Ray tracing. It’s a nice addition, but I believe the higher frame rates are the priority and nothing that has been shown is worth the upgrade for the price.
Major flop. And not because of the no disc drive. It’s not 1990 and physical media is dead.
It’s an over priced mediocre upgrade that doesn’t even get 120 FPS at the current quality fidelity.
I have plenty of disposable income (assumed targeted audience)
I rather over pay to get the switch 2 asap.
Youre crazy if you think physical media is dead.

I only buy physical. Also collect ps1, ps2, dreamcast, snes games and other consoles. I like having the cases and play them in the original form.
The CNET video decisions are wild.
This is basically greed and stupidity no good games I've been an gamer for a very long time sony needs to realize that nobody asked for a ps5 pro.
The fact that there's no new software to showcase the PS5 Pro is crazy. Showcasing 2-4 year old content in higher fidelity as the selling point is insane.
For an original PS5 owner who has physical games to upgrade to this in the UK....I am going to need like $1000 to get the extra disk drive!
The reveal of the price was a TeraFlop
😂
Not sure if anyone else is talking about it but if the PS5 Pro is $699. Then the next Xbox/PS6 will be right there as well. If not maybe another $100-$200 more.
This needs to be the Gen that bridges the gap between Console and PC!
RUclips is a terrible way to show this stuff off. Sony needs to offer a stand alone video that could be played on gamers PS5's or offered as a download with proper high quality encoding.
The big problem is that there isnt even any current gen games, what do we need a pro version. companies arent even trying anymore
People at Sony are smoking Baygon Katol! $700 for the price of a console is a joke, just build a gaming PC.
I was watching the interview with Richard about his thoughts on this but then the video got taken down. I hope it'll be uploaded up again. And great points you make here, Destin.
There's only one thing they needed to do: gameplay of GTA 6 running as "enhanced" on the ps5 pro and explained all the things in game in the way you mentioned. There is no PC version yet so the ps5 pro would be the definite version. WIN.
When the biggest shock of the reveal is the price, it was a failure
My friend, you sound like my grandfather... "PS5 Pro is made by the Devil..."
Sorry Destin, but ”poor presentation” around the better graphics is not what went wrong with this reveal. It’s the fact that they did not share ANYTHING ELSE about this console. Does it carry more memory than a standard PS5? does it have more storage? Because seriously, if the ONLY upgrade is literally the APU, I don’t see the $200 bump as a “value proposition”. IMHO, this presentation SHOULD HAVE focused on the things that make it worth an extra $200+ Fancier graphics? If it doesn’t have more memory to handle the graphics bump and more storage, I honestly don’t see the value.
11:14 they were showing the ray tracing of the sky reflecting on the waters which looks realistic what water looks like during daytime.
They are also promising to sometimes deliver what they promised with the original PS5 (the example they showed for Hogwarts Legacy was 30fps)
Less than 10 minutes for a New Console Reveal... Pitiful
It made sense for PS4 pro because people were getting 4K Televisions but the gaming TVs now make this absolutely pointless.
Sony basically admitted upscaling 720p, 900p, 1080p to 4 K wasn't working out. Now they're barely surpassing XSX 1440p to 4K upscale SAD AF
fix the price tag, simple as that
Destin, I beg of you, stop emberrassing yourself.
Hmmm...devs are SUPPOSEDLY crying (with help from Sony hardware PR) for a more powerful system, but they haven't even learned to optimize the base PS5 4 years after launch! We know this, because MOST devs release buggy incomplete games just to patch them a year later. I don't agree with your take AT ALL as games already look good. Sony need to focus on reducing the price instead of increasing it. Am I living in a SONY multiverse where nothing makes sense any more? Read the room SONY, there are people hurting out there due to greed-flation at every turn.
It's a flop because this generation never realized it's full potential and they're asking loyal customers to double down. I find little to any reason to compel anyone to invest in the Series X or the PS5. We're past the midway point and braindead devs can't seem to get their crap together while working with the most powerful hardware in history. Seeing a bunch of re-releases and remakes in 2024 is telling and an indicator that things need to change.
Just saying that my PS4 Pro works plenty fine, thanks. I'm going to pass...
It doesn't LOOK better. It (maybe) FEELS better. You can't showcase that, therefore you can't sell your console.
I’ll be passing. That price point is just crazy for what you get.
The simple fact they literally can’t market it tells you how much it’s needed. At 600 this would be a tough sell.
There are people who waited to buy a PS5 until Pro reveal. Now those people know if they want a Pro or just a normal PS5. $700 is a very expensive proposition, yes, but it's not for the average user. It's for the people who upgrade their sound systems, TVs, etc as soon as a new feature changes things up. It's not for the average consumer. It's for the true enthusiasts. The same kind of people who would upgrade from an NVIDIA 3090 to a 4090 at first opportunity. And the price is probably driven quite high by the demand for the AI chips by basically every tech industry in existence right now.
"The mansion is coming, Cousin." - Roman Bellic
95% of ppl hated on the ps portal and prayed it wouldn't it sell... it ended up being sold out everywhere for the first 6 months or so.
I see the same thing happening now.. this thing will sell like hot cakes.
Why fixing it? Let this trend sink. Also no matter what offers: 800$ for a console is a price which alienates kids from the medium, it should be universally criticized. We need more variety of games and accessibility to games, not ELO product for bored 40 y.o.
Those who brag about saying they are getting a PS5 pro for performance is an idiot period. Its not even remotely a flex. Its stupidity
So honestly. A $699 console. For playing Performance mode. Its not improving fidelity modes. Its just a more enhanced performance mode. And at that point, developers could just optimize perfomance modes. Just because they have studios that fail hard does not mean they can shaft their fans on a console. Cant wait to see the price of the Playstation 6 in 4 years.
This shows how much cutting is happening in marketing departments right now. Apple, who typically has the most beautiful shots and transitions industry wide, cut a lot of corners in their latest iPhone event. The PS5 Pro is simply too expensive and feels like a margin shift passed on to the customer.
Does it matter that people are complaining about the price. They're still going to buy it. It's still going to be sold out. let's move on
“ps5 pro reveal was a flop”
*immediately sells out of preorders*
whelp
There is a history of new systems having hardware problems. It could be something as simple as overheating.
It might be a good idea to wait before purchasing.
i think thats the most dangerous part of it as well, do you void the warranty by installing the disc drive ? somebody said the rumor is the stand is sold seperately because systems cooling metal on processor melts and moves with gravity too much off the proccessor when its vertically stood so if you buy stand yourself you cant sue them
@@votpavel That sounds more like a conspiracy theory.
@@john2001plus it isn't, it's not regular thermal paste they use but liquid metal, which can move if it's vertical instead of horizontal, if you put it standing up, the liquid metal can drip off and destroy the insides.
Ever since the Xbox one and ps4 we’ve been marketed that these consoles are capable of 1080p 60fps.
Xbox one x and ps4 pro they told us they’re capable of 4k 30fps on graphics and 1080p 60fps on performance.
Xbox series x and ps5 we were told they’re capable of 4k 120fps.
Now they’re trying to tell us this ps5 pro is capable of….. what? Better clarity on distant backgrounds???? Smoother frames???? You mean the same talking points since the Xbox one and ps4?????
We are in the era of diminishing returns.
$700 for this console far over priced.
