Hi, thanks for the informational video, how long and what is the procedure to get the residency of Switzerland! Want to move to Switzerland from US. Thanks
I got my resident card from marriage. And it took around 4-6 months. The procedure of getting the residency depends on different aspects thoughand I don’t know all of them.
If you have a job you get it immediately. The day you start your employment. Normally your employer gets it for you or helps you. You will find no job without a permit. Yes, maybe you find a private person who employs you as a house cleaner but as it's easy to get a permit if you have job then every company wants to abide by the laws. If you do not have a job in Switzerland you have to prove that you can afford living here from your savings or investments or you have a job you do for a company of another country and you can work from Switzerland like a writer, journalist or so. Or someone pays for you like a fiancée or something. You can come as a tourist and stay for three months and look for a job. There are different types of permits (the letters of the Alphabet make no sense). Permit L: You can work for three months. A lot of people come to work for the winter tourist season. Mostly students or people who have summer tourist jobs in Spain or Italy. You can work as skiing instructor or in a hotel. Permit B: It's the first you get if you are not refugee but an immigrant and you plan to stay for a longer period. It's valid for 2-5 years it depends on which country you are from. You can renew it easily if you still have job. You have to live in the region that issued your permit or apply to another permit in another region. Permit C: After 10 years you can apply for a permit C. It depends on the region you live in what is required. Normally you have to show that you learned the local language to a certain degree and that you are integrated. Once you have this it's valid your lifetime and you have all the rights except voting. You can live wherever you choose. You can loose your job and stay.... Swiss passport: That's different from municipality to municipality. It's easier if you are married to a Swiss. If you want to do this you inform yourself in time. Normally you can get it after 10 to 15 years. 25% of the people in Switzerland do not have a Swiss passport. 65% are either first or second generation immigrants. And please if you come from the US: don't call yourself an expat. You're an immigrant like many here. There's nothing wrong with being an immigrant you don't need another name. It depends on your education if you find a job and on what you want to work. If you are an engineer or a nurse or doctor you find a job easily. Or if you want to work in construction or as a truck driver - both are well paid. It's not very difficult to find a job if you are prepared to do any job. Normally you earn enough money to afford a decent life. Of course if you work as a heart surgeon you earn more than a waiter. But you can afford a small apartment and food, clothes and healthcare as a waiter. Not a very expensive car or a great vacation.
@@DramaQueenMalena hello is better to work in Switzerland than American or any where in world .. Is their salary highest in world. Can someone make money in Switzerland more than American?
@@johnsimeon8080 It depends on what you do. We have high salaries but we have high prices. If you earn 5000 $ a month you can just afford to support a family of 3. But without car or new clothes or any new stuff or eating at restaurants or so. But we have a strong social security net and many services. So at least you have food, a decent roof over your head, clean water, heating and healthcare. Education is free. Another difference is that everything is regulated if you want to open a business. You can make money only if you work in finances but that you can do everywhere. If you want a decent life it's easier. But become rich is almost impossible. Most of us are not.

Hi Lyka! I’m moving to Switzerland with my husband next month! For the criminal record, did you just have to get your records from the state you lived in or is there a national record you can get?
@@LykaKrystle Hi Lyka, i’m moving next year in gland switzerland to pursue my masters degree. Your video is really helpful! Do you also work part time while studying? The school informed me that i can only work after 6 months of staying there.
Hallo! I have 2 questions, did you apply your visa while you were still in the USA? Also did you apply Permit C straight away under partnership? Cheers
You said a lot on how expensive things are but it would be more helpful if you gave us some numbers. Here in America it’s very expensive, it takes two income to live in a decent area. Making $25hr not gonna cut it. Places that are struggling the most are over populated cities, I get it cuz demand is high. I guess coming from a 3rd world, every thriving country would seem expensive cuz the cash flow is different.
It all depends what you plan on doing here. If you want to go to school then you prepare school diplomas, grades, if you’re planning to work here, then all the specific requirements you can find in official Swiss embassy’s nearby.
Hi Lyka, can you be more specific please on the No criminal record thingy. From the Phils, is it NBI? Here in the US, FBI? What do you need to be apostilled? School records?

For everyone who wants to live in Switzerland but want to do the shopping in an other country: Don't expect that the swiss people are going to welcome or accept you :) You can't benefit from a good economy and high salaries but don't spend any money there.
I agree with you on that, and from what I’ve noticed the items in Switzerland r of very high quality so one would get their money’s worth from it. And really the food prices is r very similar to France, Germany anyways. Love how generally the Swiss r not a shopping culture like here in Canada! Wasteful

Hi Lyka! I’m moving to Switzerland with my husband next month! For the criminal record, did you just have to get your records from the state you lived in or is there a national record you can get?
National...I got mine from here and it was a pain in the butt. I had to pay for getting my finger prints too. ☺️😂
This is great! What do you do out there? I guess you found a job before you went there right?!
I am studying business administration. I only study here, not work. ☺️👍
@@LykaKrystle Hi Lyka, i’m moving next year in gland switzerland to pursue my masters degree. Your video is really helpful! Do you also work part time while studying? The school informed me that i can only work after 6 months of staying there.
I want to live there so bad
☺️☺️👍
i need to know WHERE in Switzerland the sunflower field you filmed the intro is?
my isntagram needs it 😅💛
What city do you live in?
It’s sunflower season right now and they grow everywhere now. From Zürich to Basel, the farm areas have even bigger fields than this one! ☺️
liv life lol they are everywhere, the one showed is pretty small
I knoow. They are everywhere
The sunflower fields are practically everywhere, and in many places you can actually take some and leave like a tip (?)
Hi my name is Desmond am from Ghana and my girlfriend leaves in Switzerland... and i want to move to Switzerland next year, can you help me on that ..
Hello Desmond, I don’t really know how to help but I can try? ☺️ what is your profession?
Hallo! I have 2 questions, did you apply your visa while you were still in the USA? Also did you apply Permit C straight away under partnership? Cheers
I did apply while I was in US and no, I applied for a student visa to stay here long
You said a lot on how expensive things are but it would be more helpful if you gave us some numbers.

Hi lysa I want to know that is english enough for getting work there
Not really...
Hi what work do you do in Switzerland?
I am currently studying here in Switzerland
When moving there, does it really need you to be part swiss or like has a relationship with a swiss person? :)
Hello guys
Please I wanna buy Uber driver account
Is it available in Switzerland?
It is but only in a few cities here like Zurich, Basel and Geneva. It’s not that popular here because most people use Trains as our main transpo
It's more fun in the phillipines!
☺️☺️☺️🥰
Can i know the salary of nurse in Switzerland🇨🇭🇨🇭 minimum start from..??? Plz reply
Around 55,000-73,000 a year ..it depends what hospital or what city you live in.
@@LykaKrystle hi thanks is this chf or dollar💰amount
Chf
ms lyka, how did you apply for student visa? do you have agency?ty
I didn’t do it via an agency, I was already living here when I applied for visa so my circumstances was different and easier
Paano po kayo naka punta Sa Switzerland?? 😊😊 that country is in my bucket list.
My dream place is an expensive place and it makes me feel sad because I know I can't afford. Lol
Hi Lyka, nice content you have. The last time I was there was July of 2019 in Zurich. Hope all is well there. Would like to migrate also soon
Hello @thehealingpath Thank you! And do you have any suggestions for video ideas for me to make?
Expensive but at least Switz for me can heal mental illnessess, too :)
Hi Miss, can you please specific kung anu ung mga documents na kaylangan, nabangkit mo po ung birth certificate anu pa po ung iba?
It all depends what you plan on doing here. If you want to go to school then you prepare school diplomas, grades, if you’re planning to work here, then all the specific requirements you can find in official Swiss embassy’s nearby.
How's the language barrier? :)
Most big cities speak English but if you want to work here or live here.. you really need to learn the language of the area.
We are planning on moving there I'm a teen is there anything we should know or anything that could be useful, we currently live in the uk
Is it difficult travel going there using visit visa , hope you notice me
It is a bit hard but it is doable. I made videos on how you get here... ruclips.net/p/PLTZcyljy_o2bUTJzB_9LH5tcvAXDU1L8z
Is Basel an expensive place? Pag nakakahanap ako ng job opportunity, Basel yung nakikita ko
In my opinion, it is..bigger cities here tend to be more expensive
@@LykaKrystle thank you for responding. If ever sa Basel ang work, saang nearby city/place na mas low cost of living pwede mag stay?
Rheinfelden sa Germany. Maraming tao nakatira dun na nagwowork sa Basel. Medyo complated pag mag tax pero pinaka mura na place tirahan is Germany.
paano po kapag wala kang TRC or residence card.. pwede ka po ba mag work diyan?
What is TRC ? And if may resident card ka dito, you can easily find work here.
Newbie here.
☺️ heey. Welcome!
Hi Lyka, can you be more specific please on the No criminal record thingy. From the Phils, is it NBI? Here in the US, FBI? What do you need to be apostilled? School records?
Dito na Lang ako sa pinas it's more fun in the Philippines
☺️
Hello po. Yung tita ko po kasi na taga Switzerland eh nagpplan na kukunin ako diyan after college. Mahirap po ba makuha diyan?
Edit: she's a permanent resident there btw.
As a permanent resident? I think it’ll be hard... I think she should wait til she gets her Swiss passport
what if po meron na?
Then it is easier if she has her Swiss passport
@@LykaKrystle thankyousomuchhhh❤️
Hello new friend from USA wow nice view.. I hope i hear back from you thanks
Hey..how is it there in US?
@@LykaKrystle all people here just try to stay safe.. Can i invite you in my home.. Promise I'll do the same thanks
For everyone who wants to live in Switzerland but want to do the shopping in an other country:
Don't expect that the swiss people are going to welcome or accept you :) You can't benefit from a good economy and high salaries but don't spend any money there.
I agree with you on that, and from what I’ve noticed the items in Switzerland r of very high quality so one would get their money’s worth from it. And really the food prices is r very similar to France, Germany anyways. Love how generally the Swiss r not a shopping culture like here in Canada! Wasteful
Swiss that live near the border shop in other countries, even the Swiss value their money.
Hallo zeme, geits bi euch?
☺️☺️☺️
Hi. Glad I found your vlog and I'm ur new sub fan. May I know what is your job there? I just want to live there too. My dream country. Hope to hear from you ^_^
I’m studying at the moment. I found it difficult to find a job here
hello po kapg ba meron kana permanent residence dyan maam automatic ba na yung pamilya mo pwede muna makuha ang pamilya mo pero kahit isa lng ang may pr thanks
Hey.. it’s not really authentic. They have to apply for a pr too if you have a pr.
Hi I know that it's very late to comment here but I wont miss a chance to ask you this.
What is the most suit-looking job in that country?
Yeah, I know you are studying for the meantime but do the swiss government counted your staying as to qualify to be become a resident? Then how many years should a tourist to stay b4 they officially become a citenzin?
Hello! It’s never too late. And Suit-looking job? Can you specify what you mean by this? And I am a resident now, I am married to a Swiss person. And a tourist cannot become a citizen but 10 years as a resident if you are on a work visa and 5 years if you are married to a Swiss person like me.
Hi!
Hello!
I rather just buy clothes in Switzerland and take a hit with the high price. Shipping internationally is a pain in the butt.
☺️👍
why the "air quotes" when you say Sitzerland?
Sorry, it’s subconscious sometimes.. 🤦🏻♀️ I really don’t notice it. It’s like the hand gestures.
hi~ im curious..what can you buy with 20 Swiss Franc?? im really curious about how much money i really need to get around in a day..

@@ellsbeth3138 all that with 20 Swiss Franc? not too bad..thanks! glad to know i can get a couple of beers at a bar lol
